Have you played a Kirby game in recent years. Kirby has way more story than Mario, it is just hidden on pause screens.

The last one I played was Star Allies, but I don't remember there being much story. I didn't get far though, it was the blandest Kirby game ever.

I did play some of Kid Icarus Uprising, Luigis Mansion 2, Smash 4 and Mario Kart 7 yesterday. Theres still people playing those games so it was kind of sad to see Nintendo shut them down. I kept playing Mario Kart 7 until the service shut down. One game I tried to see if anyone was playing was Mario Tennis Open. And even in its final hours. I did not find a soul playing.....
