CWC would unironically be a better president than Biden. At the very least he'd be more entertaining. The good news is that a draft would, as far as I'm aware, require Congress to actually invoke it via vote. Literally everyone uses embassies as a cover for glowies though. They're the one place in the country your agents are untouchable, and diplomatic packets are the one thing you can ship that isn't subject to search or seizure. I shudder to think what schemes the ChiComs are running out of their embassy in D.C., simply because how many of them will involve fentanyl and the cartels.

Are defendants able to have any say in who makes court sketches? Not necessarily for the record but are they able to hire sketch artists to do their own sketches? If so, and if I were Trump I'd hire some Manga author to do sketches just for laughs. There's quite a few Mangakas who have been openly pro Trump IIRC.

Ah, yeah, I think I misread you there. Fair argument, although given the very specific context of Israeli-Iranian relations where the Ayatollahs kicked the Israelis out of the country right after their takeover and let the PLO take over the former Israeli embassy... what exactly does Israel have to lose by bombing Iranian soil? It would be like the Serbs or Kosovans blowing up the other nation's embassy. There's not exactly any diplomatic relations to hurt with such a direct attack.

I think all you Kiwis are forgetting that what makes embassies super special in terms of international relations is that they are for all intents and purposes considered an intrinsic, core part of the nation's central governing apparatus no different from any of its capital buildings. Ambassadors are considered to speak with the voice of the head of state they represent, and to harm one is to harm him. But if one gives zero fucks whatsoever about the other guy like both Israel and Iran do, does it really matter? Whichever of those guys comes out on top is going to have rivers of blood flowing out of the loser's country from all the corpses.

What I think you Kiwis should be more concerned about is the Ecuadorian cops storming the Mexican embassy and giving zero fucks about Mexico's sovereignty rather than Israel blowing up Iranian governmental buildings on Iranian soil.
