Fallout series

Got nothing important to add but my biggest wish for whenever theres a new fallout game is that we don't start out in a another fucking vault.
It's heccing Bethesda traditionarino dude! Just like how the protagonist in Elder Scrolls is ALWAYS a prisoner! Your protagonist HAS to be a vault dweller otherwise where would the VAULT TEK stuff be dude I need VAULT SUITS AND PIP BOYS AND VAULT BOY!
Sneedclave (which is basically just Soyjak Party except wearing a costume like some sort of K. Rool boss fight) held up a mirror to Schizo and he came to the conclusion he was being a little faggot. The bellringer seems to be Schizo praising Mexico because it's "trad" and "Christian".
Schizo was funny for how hard he made certain parts of the fanbase utterly shit and piss themselves in seething rage. Ramblelime and other faggots like him still get triggered by 'Right wing Chuds' evangelizing the wrong factions and that's mostly thanks to Sneed and Schizo.

I dont think enough people are ranting about its comically stupid nuking scene. If you want a confirmation this really is Bethesda's Fallout then all you gotta do is look at its pre-war nuking scene.

This is basically "Hey kids, you thought the Nuke scene in F4 was preposterous and unrealistic? Well take a look at this!"

Im getting flashbacks to the nuke scene in Fallout 4 with the world's slowest nuke. Good to see that wasnt a flob and its literally the brand the CHINESE, not Vault Tec, the CHINESE! used. Far we are from the days of James Cameron getting legit calls from nuclear scientists saying the nuke scene in Terminator 2 was frighteningly close to reality (except that even the skeletons wouldnt remain but they were able to excuse him because it was technically a dream scene).

Everyone in that party should have instantly been vaporized with a nuke that close. They literally talk about the whole mushroom cloud needs to be smaller than your thumb for you to be at a safe distance thing. And yet here we are, nukes that are visible from over a small hill arent eliminating our poor setups for a story.

And someone will legit say "Its loyal to how it was in Fallout 4", like thats actually a good thing. I remember how everyone hated that. We all know they wanted a dramatic "at the last second" scene but the nuke wasnt far enough to justify it, so dont act like the series is being "faithful" and, assuming that it is, that its a good thing. As if that wasnt stupid enough we have multiple nukes in visible proximity from each other... *frustrated long sigh that reeks of "Why do I even bother"*

"Its fallout, its not like real life", oh shut up with that. Nothing in Fallout established that nukes didnt work like they do in real life for the most part, at least until F4 (and I guess you could argue Fallout 3 with that small nuke scene but F4 confirms it to not be canon so I will let it slide).

Im not saying this scene didnt have a good setup, problem is that you cant have your cake and eat it. Again, Terminator 2 had a scene strictly showing the horrors of Judgement Day, and why it was something to be feared and stopped if possible. In the series its just...eh? We probably should start running, I guess. It just doesnt feel impactful and can I say I utterly despise how they always have characters looking at the explosion and not instantly getting blind? The flash of a nuke is like staring into the sun for a whole hour concentrated into one instant, any eyes on it will be blinded.

Idk, this all sounded more deep when it was Ron Pearlman just saying "Yeah, we fucked up. War never changes". But hey, subtlety is for numb nuts. The nuking is best to be shown as little as possible to preserve its mysterious terror and because it ultimately doesnt matter much anymore, the world moved on and what was to be the end of the world just became another footnote in human history.

Bethesda: lol, not under my watch...!

Im not asking for Threads, Im just asking for something that doesnt insult my intelligence.

Oh my God this drove me fucking nuts and it is perfectly emblematic of how much of a careless, fat, dump the show takes on all of the west coast lore. Fallout 4's theme has nothing to do with the NCR, New Vegas HAD a fucking theme for the faction and it doesn't get used there because someone said "put the game's main theme over this reveal for nostalgia" and nobody bothered to figure out which game it actually came from. They saw "New Vegas is the 4th mainline entry in the series" so they slapped 4's theme on and nobody checked, nobody noticed, or nobody cared because "you can't please the fans anyway."

And thus the confirmation this series truly is for normies with no to only basic understanding of Fallout, having at most played F4 and maybe 3 (tho it almost feel unfair putting 3 with 4 and 76 since I will always play devil's advocate with it because it does legit have effort and merit to it, despite its many imperfections).

Jesus, why set this in the West Coast at all? Just set it nearby The Commonwealth or something. That way they are only messing with their side of the canon and the West Coast is untouched by the cringe ass writing.

I'm seriously tired of seeing characters coming out of the vaults.
Emil: *writing down notes* "Start game with Tribal going into a Vault. Got it!"

Its over, the normiefication of Fallout as a franchise has been completed. Some would say that Fallout has been shit nearly a decade now, but we still had New Vegas and hope for the better future. Both of those things were raped with premiere of the show. There will never be another Fallout that takes itself seriously, has good writing or isn't made to catter to most braindead niggercattle on the market. Those times are long over. If you want to see the fate of democracies look outside the windows the series then look at Star Wars - watered-down trash that is so bad it's hard to belive it ever used to be cool. And the fan projects will not save it, because only people with time and motivation to make them are terminally online trannies who are more busy with Discord drama (and putting deathclaw sex scenes in) than actually finishing them. It's so over.

Man, excuse my faggy rant but I'm blackpilled right now - I was fully aware that the Amazon show will be utter trash and I still got mad for some reason. My point is, Fallout is fucking dead and we should just be content with what we already have, because it won't get better.
I've seen lots of people on Youtube and Reddit saying that Starfield killed all their hype for TES 6, and I hope that sentiment stays until it releases so it will make Bethesda bankrupt (because Blackrock funds and other gibs that could save them are already running dry, and by the time next TES releases I imagine it will be even worse lmao), so Fallout 5 is never made. We have 3 great games (1,2,NV), 3 mediocre ones (3,4,Tactics) and 2 bad ones (BOS, 76) - not a bad run. (:_(

Honestly four RPGs and several decent pieces of fan content turns the franchise into one with a very admirable set of legs. I don't think I'd ever really NEED Fallout 5 at this point, since I still haven't finished many of the big quest mods for New Vegas.

And I wouldn't give up on fan projects entirely just yet. London getting shafted by Bethesda is one of the company's shittiest moves yet, but it will come out eventually. The Capital Wasteland project is still surprisingly active and I was convinced that shit was dead for sure. Miami genuinely seems great. It's not totally over.

Not to be rude but you give off Troon vibes from that name and profile picture.

I’m sorry your C Tier Shovelware series didn’t die with BOS and instead got turned into a beloved legendary series that INCLUDES the shovelware era.
but we still had New Vegas
The worst game in the series, it’s fitting you vermin have that.

Good, you deserve it. Die.

You must be referring to @Laplace Victim

The problem with the game industry is that it eclipsed Hollywood in terms of how much money it generates. There was an issue for a while where you could tell a lot of people in the Gaming Industry or adjacent to it hated it, they wanted to be an author or be involved in film, but no they were in the Games industry.

Those fags basically let in the rot and not just the overt cultural way. No gay shit or woke shit, but in how C-level execs and how “outside experts” operate. Gaming used to be a pretty good Return on Investment like movies did for a while, and this attracted firms and Executives who would focus on high level growth usually by borrowing insane amounts of money and then canning a studio (not before they and their friends in DEI spaces get their bonus) and keeping the IP. They’ll then whore out the IP and accept ESG/ Bridge loans for projects as the IP devalues.

I think @Null talked about this with Disney, but Warner is suffering a worse problem. They acquired loads of stuff and the issue is that they can’t actually payoff what they bought it for, they’ve been writing stuff off for tax purposes, but they got used to basically a decade and a half of 0% interest rates that their business model isn’t feasible.

The people brought in to grow a business have no clue how to actually grow a business, they graft on branches to a strong tree and cut off branches as the blight comes in. Sometimes a tree bears good fruit, but eventually the tree gets sickly and they cut it down for fire wood (shitty licensed crap).

The creative side matters too, but the business side is this weird pseudo-commie corporate welfare stuff I can kind of understand.

You can see them around in random encounters. This is actually explained though, as most of The Capital Wasteland slavers sell their stock to The Pitt.
To be fair to fallout 3 last time I seriously played it was over 5 years ago so im a little hazey on all the lore and details,

Ignore the slop Bethesda has unleashed, we're a week away from seeing if FO:London will actually live up to the hype or not that and that's a better option than having to actually think about whatever the fuck they let that electrican write for this.
It got delayed indefinitely because that Bethesda slop is getting a major update that is most likely going to break the mod.

It won’t just like Frontier. Everyone knows Fallout Miami is the based Fallout 4 mod that will be cool. Nobody cares about Not so Great Shitain except Shitain subhumans.

Based and Freedom Pilled.
The Revolution lives on.

Fallout 4 literally can’t stop winning.

Fallout 3 and NV's DLC's are heavily marked down on the Xbox Store to celebrate Fallout's 20th anniversary.

Fallout 3's DLCs are $2 each. Is it worth it?
I have both games and their DLCs, pre-order included. Are you locked out of DLC until you progress further? Does DLC lock you into its expansion away from the main game? I heard there's unbreakable armor that you can obtain AFTER Point Lookout.

Hopefully the fixes won't take too long, F4SE probably will be updated within the week (probably less) and hopefully the new Resolution changes won't fuck with UI elements much. It does suck they delayed it but I understand all too well the kind of utter retards who post comments under mods when they "don't work" for some reason.

It's been a long time, but I don't remember anything like that regarding Point Lookout. But there is a bug involving the power armor you get from Operation: Anchorage, where it incorrectly gives you a version with a gorillion HP so that it effectively can never break.
You just need to beat that DLC for the OP armor? Could you do Operation Anchorage AFTER leaving the vault? For somebody new to Bethesda games and RPGs, can it be overwhelming?

Depends on what expansion
Mothership zeta: your trapped but you get your equipment back but go light because that’s the only place you get alien tech so bring a good gun.
Point lookout: you can leave any time but it costs you a ferry boat ticket
Operation anchorage: that’s the one with the “invincible power armor at the end but you have to complete it too. There is a point of no return once the mission is complete.
Broken steel: it’s a base game add on so it won’t change too much.
The Pitt: you have to beat but you can return at anytime.

There’s a recommended level for all of them but you can start them whenever (accept for broken steel because that’s just extra base game storyline) would not recommend starting any DLCs till you played the game for a bit. They get very tough even for people with high levels.

But morons like you have compared those two and then pulled the hypocrisy crap.
But you seem like the type of person that would do this, so I win the argument anyway.
That's not how it works, you stupid retard. :story:
Either different types of games can be compared or they can’t.
Why are you clinging onto this like an autistic child? Literally no one has said anything to the contrary.
