You'd think a guy who wants to foster positivity and chill, and good relationships with the people keeping his life afloat, he'd simply say 'doesn't interest me' or something less insulting to the genuine people in his audience that might like those kinds of things.
He also openly admitted that he watches reality TV with his fat wife during their Yakuza stream. As usual, Phil is quite literally incapable of making a statement without putting someone else down and/or reminding everyone how great he is for doing (or not doing) something. The guy who was obsessed with wrestling during 20s and 30s and watches reality TV on his 40s sure knows about high-brow entertainment.

This is kind of a random thought/throwback but....those interviews with family and friends of DSP that Keemstar said he had secured, almost a year ago at this point.
Whateva happened there?
And don't tell me Keemstar is just a giant lying faggot! I'm sure those interviews are as real as the 50K that he was totally going to give the three lolcows on the spot. There's surely a very special anniversary episode of the very successful lolcow live pocast that will feature them soon, right?
Keem being a lolcow himself aside, I feel like he didn't know that Phil doesn't have any friends and the two people most likely to find (John and Leanna) have disappeared from the internet not wanting to deal with Phil ever again, and if you think about it, it really doesn't make much sense that someone can be such an antisocial hermit to the point the people closest to him have vanished from the internet. Dave and Linda? What could they possibly say that's interesting? For all we know Phil was more or less a normal kid, if anything an antisocial dork who played Street Fighter, not much else. Tee Carter was murdered by Phil himself, who else? The SRK guys have all said that Phil was an obnoxious faggot, big on the keyboard and shy IRL (but that was because he was actually a really cool dude, totally not afraid of getting his ass beat btw)

When you think about it, interviewing family and friends of Phil is hard because he doesn't have them.

Keemstar is a liar and a huge faggot, however around the time he said he was setting up interviews, Phil was feigning distress fairly hard and (I think?) mentioned something about people reaching out to his family.

Again, because both are habitual liars it’s hard to tell what that actually means, but I think Keemstar dug for it but just didn’t find anyone interesting enough who would actually talk to him.

That was my guess too. Either he did reach out to people and realized there wasn't anything interesting, or he was just lying about it to get under Phil's skin.

I can't see that happening without a brain injury as Big Brown Schlub said. He's an aging Narc who will most likely seek treatment for his depression/alcoholism before he realises he has NPD. I could be wrong, but if he has NPD, it's not something he will one day realise because money is tight. It's not like he's one day gonna mature, he's stuck in his own reality.
You think instead he'll get a real job or scale his life down?

Phil is going viral again

Link
Someone educate me here but is there an actual reason he can't get out of the corner, or is his mind just panic smashing the block button? His opponet is moving pretty slow but then again I don't play fighting games so don't really know if the rounds are supposed to look like that. One thing I do notice a lot though, really regardless of the game, is that Phil loves backing himself into a corner for some insane reason.
The endless excuses, from opponents that mash to lag to netcode, "the game didn't give it to me", the man has perfected the art of making shit up on the spot to excuse himself from any wrongdoing. Paper thin skin. It's a truly ridiculous circus. I love it.
I don't really enjoy his fighting game content mostly for those reasons aside from the salt, but going back in time ten years or more and seeing the same exact excuses come out is amazing. You could replace the audio in any modern Phil stream with one back then and wouldn't know the difference.

Phil is legitimately a retard when it comes to fighting games. He's mesmerized a flow chart of moves and just follows it on repeat so when he gets put into a situation where he has to make his own decisions he just completely falls apart because he can't be handheld. It's why he loses against "pattern" players and "people who button mash." A normal person would go "oh, this person keeps doing two lows into a mid so I'll block low twice then block mid, and then I'll punish" but Phil can't do that because countering that isn't a part of the flow chart he's mesmerized.

As much as we are all special for watching him & getting a chuckle, the way he acts like he's somehow above the fray and doesn't enjoy others missteps is one of the more annoying things about him. His stupid Twitter news segments are always either negative stories or just rumors that he takes in a negative way. And he's so stupid that he doesn't realize that Twitter gives him stories that follow his past browsing habits, so when he clicks on negative MK1 stories for example, he'll just get every one of them pushed to him going forward.

I'd have a sliver of guilt towards him if he didn't revel in his "enemies" downfall too, but pretend that he doesn't.

I don't even know if a flow chart is appropriate in his gameplay. He legit knows a few combos, but doesn't really know why they work at some times and not others. He might know some matchups where his X character is better than Y, but he really has no idea why he wins the vast majority of the time. He also never mentions when his opponent drop a combo and he gets lucky, he acts like mis-inputs (yes he fucks up inputs not rollback netcode) are an act of God and not his gin-drowned brain being slow now.

The part that really gets me is that he's pretty much devoted his life to them, and he still isn't good. I think that might be one of the reasons for the cope overload when he plays them. Most people who have put in the hours and years he has would be significantly better by now, but he just isn't, so it must be cheaters/frame traps/lag/the game devs.
The thing with Phil is, he likes to give the impression he's devoted himself to fighting games, but he really hasn't. If we're being really generous, there was a period of time where he was pretty devoted, but at this point, it was so long ago. Not only has a lot of time passed and the nature of fighting games has changed, but fighting games/pro gaming in general have become more popular and accessible. Phil's biggest win is because he was playing a niche version of a game that not many people cared about.

I'm not really qualified to know if Phil was actually good back in the day, but he was at least going to tournaments and playing with pros and stuff, so that's something. But it's been what...15ish years since Phil last played someone offline? Excuse the Phil-tier metaphor, but it'd kinda be like if someone played college basketball professionally, did pretty decent, but ultimately left school and spent the next 15 years drinking and gambling on mobile games. During this time, they still played a game or two every week at a local rec league, but they weren't actively practicing or working out. Compared to their college self, they aren't in the same league at all, and they certainly aren't going to hold their own against the recent stock of college players that exist now. Or those former college players from his time that went on to join professional teams and make a career for themselves.

A big thing with the majority of competitive hobbies is being involved in the community. You don't have to necessarily be the most active person yourself, but by being part of the community, you're at least learning about the meta and understanding what you need to do to improve your gameplay. Or more importantly, what other people are doing to improve their gameplay, which might hard counter your winning strategy.

To use a slightly less Phil-tier example, take chess. I remember when I was a kid, my friend knew one of those 4 or 5 turn checkmate strategies. If you know the strategy exists and how to play the game, you can pretty easily avoid these setups. Even if somehow in a professional tournament setting, an opponent was unaware of these strats and fell for them, after the first game they wouldn't fall for the same trap and would know how to play around it for the next game. Phil is basically that guy. He knows a few pretty basic, but effective methods of winning in a specific version of a fighting game, but he never really bothered to learn anything else. And unlike with chess, future versions of the fighting games have different rules/mechanics/movesets. It's certainly not all of his loses, but there's definitely a fair amount that are basically attributed to Phil not knowing what to do with pretty common playstyles/tactics that, if he were active in the community, he'd at least know in theory what he's supposed to do/what mechanics are available to help him out.

That's the thing that exposes Phil as not only not a "pro" but not really anybody who understands anything. If you watch most good players play, they can typically articulate both why they won and why they lost. Yeah obviously a laggy game will add a variable to the situation, but the ones who are worth watching for something other than their rage are typically either so good that they can entertain a stream while playing OR can break down in real time what is happening.

Phil is not particularly skilled (he's about a 55% win percentage player, so slightly better than average, and in SF6 especially, that's enough to get to diamond), he doesn't understand frame data and why one more beats another sometimes, is not entertaining when he is winning, and whines like a child when he is losing. I haven't heard somebody on the verge of tears from losing at a game since I was a kid, but Phil regularly looks like he's a second or 2 from throwing his fight stick down and folding his arms in disgust.

Jfc Phil take a fuckin hint already. Khet doesn't want to appear on stream to entertain your god damn wheelchairs you dumb faggot
I was just watching their Q&A and I can totally see where Khet is coming from.
From the obvious bait questions about diet, food and weight that Phil clearly just rubs on Khet's face to answering for her or downright goading her into giving the answer Phil wants and just sucking the life out of her every single time she starts to get a little stimulus while answering a question only to get cut off and dismissed.

I mean... fuck me. It's also clear that she's perfectly aware of how fat she is, like you don't put on heavy makeup and a moomoo unless you are highly insecure about your look. And all for what? No seriously, it's not like Phil will give her half of the tips after parading her

Phil's only redeeming quality is that no matter how much money people give him he will in time treat them with the absolute disdain they deserve as subhuman retards.

Imagine giving this guy hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to sit in his PJs and now he won't even read your messages and looks at you like this

Hahahaha get fucked

Implying that he wasn't kicked off from all these communities in the first place?
I think you can be part of a community without ever being vocal. It's obviously easier if you're actively talking and asking questions and stuff, but there's a lot of videos you can watch and forum/discord posts to read that break down how to play. Just by reading some of the more detailed posts here, I've learned a fair amount about fighting game mechanics. Obviously, it takes more than that to be good at a game, but it's a step in the right direction if you're trying to be serious about any sort of competitive play. Especially the type of competitive play Phil is interested in, since it's pretty clear he's too much of a hermit to ever think about playing an in-person tournament again. It's just that, much like his streaming career, Phil is stagnant, he wants to be a serious fighting game guy, but makes 0 effort to actually learn how to do that and just plays each game like it's SF2 Turbo.

One thing I could never figure out is why Reanna has not spilled a single drop of her secrets. Blah blah blah wants to get on with her life. Gimme a break. Women everywhere with a much higher rent then her dish out the goods at the first opportunity. You're telling me Reanna is one of those rare unicorns of a woman who doesn't like a bit of gossip? The explanation that makes the most sense to me is detractors are inadvertently falling a bit under the old pignosis and have internalized phil's stories of a detractor MOSSAD with bottomless bank accounts and a worldwide network pursuing him to the ends of the earth, a little too much. There was probably never any thousands of us bombarding Nancy's voice mail and there probably isn't as much if any serious attempt to bring old contacts of phil's who might hold secrets to the table. The guys who spam Panda's instagram every so often and Keem probably aren't putting in the effort that would match the legendary reputation they somehow developed here.

PS I think this might actual point to a link to why Phil cancelled the documentary. Whatever his faults may be Clum is/tries to be a serious documentarian and he realized unlike his usual detractors who make fun of him all day but don't really have the time or inclination to do anything serious Mike would go rooting around and dig up a few old skeletons others wouldn't.

I don't think anyone in the detractor community really believes that Phil has been fucked with nearly as much as he says he has, I think detractors just don't feel like doing anything concrete and this is despite the fact that the Vortex has a huge number of weens in YT comments, detractor reddit, twitter and various discords. Anyone who tries planning an op always does it in the most public place possible and gets told to fuck off rather than getting into some private group chat or discord with fellow weens to plan their attack. Whenever Phil makes up some new victim narrative about having some nebulous "fucked up shit done to him behind da scenes last week" the consensus is that he's fucking lying and fishing for pitybux. With how many haters Phil has he probably has to be the least trolled big lolcow.

Again, this community has a huge number of weens, does anyone seriously think that if a ween concretely fucked with him that they wouldn't immediately brag about it? How many people blow up Fatrick Hamlinson's phone just so that they can get the "You are mentally ill, stalker" copypasta and then brag about it on ONAforums? The Podawful fags trolled Mersh by Doordashing him coleslaw whenever he was out of town so when he gets home he gets greeted by the foul stench of rotten coleslaw. When it comes to Phil we're talking about a dude who is still traumatized about being mailed a cardboard dick several years ago.

Now obviously that type of trolling doesn't work on Phail since he never leaves the house for long or answers texts on his phone, but it would still be very easy to fuck with him. Years ago Frank Hassle said he wanted to fuck with Phil by just waiting for Phil's day off, following him to the store, then walking around yelling Phil's catchphrases like "KAMAAAAAHN!" or "NOTHING I COULD DO!" within earshot. It's a shame he got bored of Phail and he never went through with the idea.
