There are people who legitimately won’t play New Vegas because they want to spite New Vegas fans and because they fear they might turn into one due to what they’ve heard and seen online.

I may be one of the few FNV fanboys who genuinely enjoyed Fallout 3. Every other FNV fanboy I've seen on Youtube can't stop hating FO3 and usually compare it negatively to FNV.

To me, they're both fun games that let me fight enemy armies through a post-apocalyptic hellhole and nuke entire cities. I blew up Megaton in FO3, and I nuked both sides in FNV before I killed Benny.

Like seriously can someone tell me one redeeming quality that Creetosis has? Like I get it, he also doesn’t like Fallout 3 and 4 like most of you but give me a redeeming quality besides him disliking something you also dislike.

Watching Creetosis' vids was like driving a spike through my head. His criticisms seemed less objective and more based on personal opinion, but he's too blind to see it.

One bad year that is the culmination of decades of bad policies. The NCR is nearing collapse by the time of FNV because of their idiotic handling of things after their victories. Their victories didn't make them better; it made them cockier and stupider. Trying to reach as far as possible without securing supply lines and ensuring that your control of the area is fortified.

The Enclave in FO3 necessitated a superweapon and an OP main character for the Brotherhood to defeat them. The NCR is about to lose to a bunch of dudes in skirts led by a Roman weeaboo and a dude with a mask. If you look at the final battle in FNV, the Legion version is the easiest one since Legion troops do half the work and slaughter NCR soldiers faster than you can keep up. You have to actively compete with your own side just to get any kills. Can't say the same for the NCR side where the enemy is literally pouring into the Dam one room away from General Oliver's office. It was a good thing that in my NCR playthrough, I recruited the Brotherhood for the NCR, and their paladins were the first line of defense against the invading Legion troops. Take them and the Courier away, and I'm certain that those Legion Centurions would've had no problem punching through and killing the NCR general.

Honestly I've played Fallouts 1 & 2, and I love the story, the music and setting, but anyone that tells you that the OG games are better then the new games gameplay wise and you just need to "GIT GUD" are blinded by nostalgia. 1&2 are so fucking clunky and archaic its not funny. I shouldn't have to read a goddamn novel just to figure out how to play. And this coming from a guy in his 30s who played shit like Lord of the Realm 2.

It spreads to the rest of forces, too. They can withstand several shots from plasma and laser weapons before dying. Which makes no sense; they're not like the Enclave or the Brotherhood with guys covered in power armor, they're just dudes in skirts with leather armor on. The best they should be able to withstand are knives and maybe low-caliber gunfire; plasma rounds ought to be blowing holes in them.

Same here. I viewed fighting the Enclave in FO3 in the same vein as fighting the Legion or the NCR in FNV. I only bought FO3 because I heard you fight the Enclave there and I wanted to see them fight in a 3D environment.

Sad thing is, Obsidian proved they're no better than Bethesda after Outer Worlds came out. Mediocre to the extreme. Fallout 4 was a better game, and that game came out in 2015.

Their victory against Joshua Graham was due to luck, and we see the latter be proven true as all over the Mojave in FNV, the Legion acts unabated while the NCR is scared shitless of them.

The Legion is the lead faction in FNV, not the NCR. They're the one that's scaring the shit out of everyone while the NCR is reduced to a punchline. Outside of the Rangers, their army is a joke.

The fact that the same guy who won the Battle of Boulder City for the NCR thinks it's impossible for them to win goes to show that yes, from the POV of the smartest people in the Republic, their loss is inevitable.

Name me these commanders and officers, if you will. Hanlon was the guy who won the battle against Joshua Graham, and he's the one who believes the war is lost. He's the smartest guy in the NCR, and he's the one crying about how the NCR is doomed. Oliver is the chief of the army, and he's an ass-kissing clown. Aaron Kimball was once a great general, but he's stupid enough to show his face and get it shot off by a Legion sniper. To the point where even House has to plot to save his ass if the Courier works with House.

No, the NCR won't fail just because the president died. The NCR will fail because the president, the chief of the army, and the smartest guy in the military will die once the Mojave falls, and the only people left after them are the Brahmin Barons and rich Senators who have no real love for the nation as a whole and will happily sell the Republic to the new Caesar so long as they preserve their own power. So yes, the NCR is going to fall once the Mojave falls, especially when the most powerful people in the NCR after the president and his chief of the army are the kind of morons who'd sell their own mothers for two bottle caps.

FNV pretty much shows that the NCR is not a capable nation-state. Oliver became its top general by kissing ass. The whole system is dysfunctional and relies on ass-kissing and political favors to get anything done. The soldiers have low morale because ever since Boulder City, the Legion has been fucking with them, they've got a thousand problems that they don't have the crew to solve, and the butcher's sword is literally coming for them in Hoover Dam. Literally, they can't even solve the fucking Powder Ganger problem, a problem that some pissed-off mailman with a decent pistol can solve.

Ulysses wants to use nukes to cut the supply lines for the NCR, but at most, he's just trying to accelerate what is inevitable. Hanlon can already see the writing on the wall, hence why he's trying to get the NCR to retreat in good order to preserve its fighting power instead of getting its troops killed trying to defend the Mojave against the Legion.
