Warhammer 40k

He’s why I collect orcs and (orks in 40K). The kvetching of some of the chaos players and just how funny the orcs were roped me in.
The Orks in the first Dawn of War have some of the funniest voice lines in that game. They're great.
"Pull da pin, throw da uvver part!"
When the Sharpe's Rifles series were airing, a lot of the audience were women swooning over the handsome fellows.

Gaunts Ghosts are basically Sharpe in space and would be a huge crossover hit with just a little beefy cheesecake and wise writing.
Elim Rawne is described at the opening of one of the books as so darkly handsome as to charm the drawers off a Sororitas.

He's also soon after mentioned to be a man of strong convictions, and that they were expunged from his record upon joining the Guard. He's absolute schlick bait. Didn't women go wetter than Niagara Falls at Negan from Walking Dead due to him being a handsome, charming psychopath, or am I misremembering?

Plus for the outright hybristophiles you've got Lijah Fething Cuu, and around the same time when he shows up there's the Vervunhive ladies, including girlboss Tona Criid. (She actually isn't in the slightest but we know they'd write her that way.)

So the CEO of GW apparently just resigned (Edit: This might be the CFO not CEO, can't confirm but heard it on two streams now.)

And the CFO just sold most of their shares

Get woke, go broke?
She worked there for 27 years, that's just retiring. It's 7,500 shares out of 32.9 million shares on the market, while retaining 3600 shares.

Trying to attribute this to femstodes is meaningless.

I'll bet you 10$, you're gonna get grifters attributting so much as GW sneezing is because of the femstode.
The grifters have been predicting GW's fall for quite some time now.

The first time I saw them talk about it was when the Primaris went out. It was a naked power grab by GW to force Space Marine players to re-buy their armies, and they broke the Space Marine lore in half just to force it in. Nothing happened; GW's stock rose, and the doomsayers were proven wrong.

GW went after the right-leaning 40K fans like Arch, coming out with an official statement siding with the woke. This led to the right-wing grifters proclaiming that they won't touch GW products ever again, but once more, it didn't affect GW's bottom line.

Then GW started going after the fan animators, which again, led to another round of ''oh, we'll never buy from GW again'' and ''GW hates the fans'', but once again, all the calls for boycotts fell on deaf ears as GW continued to sell product. Sure, Warhammer Plus was a bust, but the model kits were still selling well.

And now we get to the Female Custodes, and once again, the same cries of boycott and GW being woke are once again uttered by the usual crowd, with more right-wing grifters jumping in for cheap clicks. After three times of seeing 40K fans and the usual faces calling for a boycott, I'm jaded as fuck, and I can already predict that it probably won't amount to much except give bad publicity to GW, which again, is better than no publicity at all.

I just think this guy has GW and the community pegged.

I know we love to believe this, but for the most part it always feels like "Get woke, go into an absurdly long death spiral".
That's cause we were in an era of free money, of 0 interest loans. That era is over and the market is slowly realizing it's not coming back. Once that happens, suddenly profit will matter again, and very much so.

Good luck getting the diversity goons out of those companies.
They're already starting to fire them -- for example, look at all the TikTok cunts that were bragging about using Google/Facebook/etc as glorified adult daycares that paid them $250,000 a year to show up and have bubble tea, they were the first ones out despite it being "sexist" to fire them. DEI jobs are being slashed across the corporate world, and it's just getting started.

But you are right, once the Diversity cult realises the corporations never ACTUALLY believed in their shit and that no, their Grievence Studies professors were wrong and Real Communism isn't coming to America in the next few decades to save them from having to actually be productive and make money, the Diversity Cultists are going to go absolutely fucking thermonuclear.

I'm picturing an entire decade of corporate sabotogue and the like that will be completely unheard of before, and that's assuming the economy doesn't just completely and utterly collapse before then. Of course it could get even worse, if the corpos manage to start replacing low wage jobs with AI + Robots then it's going to be even more hilarious.

Probably. And of course people will be buying the grifter BS. There's plenty of legit reasons to dislike GW, Disney, etc. don't need to make shit up to come up with an excuse to avoid throwing money at them.

Hell, people are still talking about this bullshit but missed the bigger issue with regard to tabletop gaming yesterday.
Asmodee’s collaboration around Middle-earth and other Embracer Group IPs will continue after the spinoff. In support of the spinoff, Asmodee has obtained €900 million (around $963 million) in financing, secured only against its assets, which we interpret as spinning off debt incurred for the acquisition of the company.
On a pro forma basis as per LTM[1] December 2023, Embracer Group, including the expected sales proceeds from the divestment of assets from Saber Interactive and Gearbox Entertainment, but excluding Asmodee, will have a Net Debt-to-Adjusted EBIT of around 0.6x. On a pro forma basis as per LTM December 2023, Asmodee will have a Net Debt to Adjusted EBITDA of approximately 3.9x. As part of the transformation and ahead of each separation the full capital structure, including both equity and debt, will be reviewed in Asmodee and “Coffee Stain & Friends” to create the best possible long-term foundation for each entity as a separately listed company.

To put it in plainer terms. Embracer group spun off Asmodee with a fuckload of Embracer's debt in an attempt to shed damn near 1 billion dollars in liability. So the publisher for Marvel Crisis Protocol, Starwars Shatterpoint/Legion, Arkham Horror, etc. just got fucked and they're one of GWs biggest competitors. Asmodee is also the North American distributor for CMON(ASOIAF) and Para Bellum(Conquest)... another two of GWs competitors.

I'm sure the board at GW is definitely concerned right now with people bitching about femstodes one way or the other(this is sarcasm).

Those days are well over. Plus ESG has more to do with the internal running of a company and nothing to do with pozzloading the neghole of the lore.

These are self inflicted wounds of companies who thought that Twitter was the real world and like and retweets would lead to sales.

A lot of companies are about to get a reality check and the next 18 months will be fun to watch.

If you see anyone YouTubers talking about ESG or Blackrock look at what finacial experience they have. My bet you’ll find pretty quickly that they don’t know what they are talking about and are just repeating what over retards on YouTube are saying.

Guy is absolutely right and really touched on the heart of the matter.

Agreed, but my god does it feel like it never actually happens. Basically, I need a capital W WIN to start feeling like woke equals broke for real. Kotaku is peanuts, I need to see Ubisoft die, I need to see Microsoft die, I need to see Games Workshop die, or at the very least, do a course correct so savage that necks snap. Till something real happens, I just will keep seeing "Go woke Get broke" as a cope since it usually translates to "Go woke, lose millions, get promoted" as of now.

Of course they don't know what they're talking about. They don't have to. Repeat talking points, get views. Expecting them to do anything basic like... look up how the financial industry works, what's happening with regard to the actual business of the company and competition, etc. that's too much work. They've got to get onto the next thing or figure out how to stretch the same topic into another video or five. And the bulk of their audience doesn't know fuck all either, just look at how many people don't understand their basic income taxes they've been filing returns for years on, receiving tax refunds, and they still don't understand the difference in something that they actually interact with and impacts them directly... but will then gnash their teeth at the idea of a tax write-off as if that means someone gets free money or isn't paying taxes at all. The closest most people get to this shit, is wondering why the interest rate on the savings account at their bank is so low, shrugging, and then immediately moving on.

Boycotting GW is easy for me because they're expensive as shit.

and its not like Arch+people like him even stopped covering Warhammer there are rumors where apparently Arch had stopped caring about 40k ever since 8th+Primaris but he only covers it for a free paycheck. That video highlights that its lucrative to just complain about Warhammer and still stay apart of it highlighting that even if you pirate all the rules and 3D print you just end up killing non GW games faster as GWs market share remains the same in the community sense.

Arch and others tried moving to Battletech but realized the owners of battletech are bigger wokies than GW ever was and the same goes for other people. Its easier to remain in the 40k sphere and just ignore 40k lore you dont like and push your own little right wing community focused on it than trying to leech onto a new IP. The entire mentality is very ingrained in 40k and will be impossible to remove (as much as GW would like to the locals of Nottingham even referred to their HQ as the nazi building for years). I dont see a boycott working but I do see 40k splitting more and more into extreme fringe fanbases fighting over who really controls the fandom mentality wise.

The right wing grifters who made videos just to jump on it all have good points but the issue is all these guys who make videos on this shit are utter faggot narcists that makes me hate them more. Quartering and Critical Drinker just making videos becasue they saw blood in the water was the worst of it especially when they got the lore all wrong.

And here we go. Because someone working at a company for almost 3 decades quits and cashes out some(but not even all) of their vested shares... it's "dumping" and supposedly think the company is fucked. Utter fucking bullshit. Even the "amid boycott" is a fucking joke. It isn't a boycott when they're still selling out of new product while it's still on preorder.

Why do these all these guys use the most abhorrent AI generated images for their thumbnails

This video made me think of tier list for faction in the books:

A: Guard, Marines of both sides. Inquisition. Even if some are shit there is so much there are great examples.
B: Necrons. Dark Eldar. Orks. Fun both as villains and main characters.
C: Mechanicus. Sisters. Tau. Not bad but usually less interesting version of Guard.
D: Tyrranids. Very boring overpowered generic threat.
F: Eldar. Boring whenever they appear.

Should read Ork novels one day. Heard good things about them.
