Now looking at how he plays it, I think Phil's basic problem is he reminds me of when I played L4D and got into games with some asshole that would run way ahead of the group and then bitch "WHERE IS MY TEAM?" when they got bodied. Like I'm not a Helldiver's expert but I would think going off on your own constantly, kiting tons of enemy into a giant train behind you, would be the opposite of how to play a game like this.

As a Helldivers 2 enjoyer, I'd kick piggy for the way he plays; after asking if he is the guy of course.

Never uses his stratagems,(Think kill streaks that do big game changing stuff) runs from his team, doesn't respawn them, doesn't do objectives. Also can't aim for shit on top of his total lack of situational awareness.

I could tell the second I played that game that DSP was going to hate it. The roll feels a little less forgiving than dark souls, and it feels like you have a smaller i-frame window. I really hope he rage quits crab souls because I hate hearing him talk about soulsbourne "clones".

He talks about soulsbourne games as "copies" and "ripoffs" instead of, you know, a sub genre of action games that is distinct from other types of action games. Just because one series of games inspired a genre, it doesn't mean that genre doesn't exist. Smash bros basically invented their sub genre of fighting games, but DSP has zero issues playing multiverses and calling it a "platform fighter" and not a smash bros clone

If he wants to play an RPG but he's been whining about "RPG overload" well that's not really an RPG, it's more of an action RPG you see; and if there's an action RPG he doesn't want to play, well that one is just an RPG. And if an indie soulslike comes out, a game that literally advertises itself as "the crabbiest soulslike" in its trailer, but Phil wants to play it, well it doesn't matter that he has scorned indie soulslikes for years, this one's on Gamepass and some whale probably told him he'd pay up for the game so Phil's gonna play it.

If the media loves a game, it’s either shit or “Great, but deeply flawed”.

or Stellar Blade are bad games and didn’t play them. It was clear they were shit! He was right all along!

ALSO if the game doesn’t enough KHANTRIBUTIONS it was clear YOU don’t like it and it’s killing the business.
