I'm of a similar mindset. Normally when I hear Daniel has gotten arrested or is in legal trouble I just assume he'll be gone for a week and then be thrown back out to continue harassing society. In this case though since the feds are involved I'm a bit more unsure how it will turn out since the feds at the very least secure actual convictions. That being said, with the way people like Daniel are handled I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him the least amount of time as possible with the least amount of effort needed. It seems like when it comes to public nuisances like Daniel the court knows they will inevitably end up having to deal with them eventually, but they'd rather save the time and money while they can before Daniel does something that actually requires a response.Basically. I'll eat my words if Daniel spends real, hard time in prison instead of just skating from jail to jail before being cut loose and sent on his way with a bag of happy pills.
