Sony hate thread

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Haven't they abandoned the Vita so hard that you can play pirated games through PSN, sync all the trophies and online shit like it's nothing, and still not get banned? That's part of the reason why I'm looking into it as the only Sony thing I'd consider buying.
Yup its piss easy, you can do it entirely in the vita with the consoles web browser. The only thing that's gotten people banned is using trophy unlock hacks, so as long you don't try to artificially increase your trophy e-peen you can use pkgj and nopaystation to download roms straight from sonys servers.

Part of the calculation for this has to be pure spite towards Valve as well. Sony like all the big developers absolutely loathes having to give 30% of their sales revenue to Gabe in order to engage with the PC gaming market.

Why would people not trust putting any info and linking their Steam account to a company with a history of at least 8 hacks + 5 massive data breaches?

It's a mystery.
Just line up for your ear tag you retarded cattle. It takes less then 5 minutes and you'll be back in the feed lot slurping down the slop in no time.

MOD EDIT:
For context, Sony is frequently subjected to data breaches, including full doxes with account names, passwords, and addresses, and the PSN service they are enforcing is not available in every country which has PC Helldivers II players. The PSN user agreement includes draconian practices such as the ability to ban users for entering false personal information.

In case you thought you hated Sony enough, a new update came out about Helldivers 2 on Steam. They are now requiring you to link a Playstation Network account to play Helldivers 2 on Steam. For extra hilarity, it was just announced yesterday that Helldivers 2 is the 7th highest grossing Sony published game in history but if they don't count the PC sales, it wouldn't even rank in the top 20.

I don't know if this was mentioned here, but this happened right a bit after Sony patented this:
GMqvDc7aYAAwMac.jpeg
It almost looks planned. Also, the article in the tweet actually mentions pictures of how this actually works, & it's basically Sony literally going "wrong-think" & "thought crime" enforcement territory now.

Edit: For those who want more information on said patents. Here's the official Patentscope WIPO links to the 1st & 2nd patents. Now, to explain this system further, it's called the "HARASSMENT DETECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD" (basically wrong-think Gestapo). What it does is that, it will actively record the in-game emotional data of users to see how they behave with each other. An example as per this MK Ultra tier Pet RPG emotion chart from the 2nd Patent:
DlJacZSaEDSSGrEAhOUoE0iBeKDaK2EDMd1zDWX9V9s78WfcW8D8nfF1AePVCJcSstUvkjNzOg_NebhQsPmL5Q.png
Sony could detect when a player is "harassed" (in the same way how mothers always keep getting "raped" due to Xbox Live Voice Chats) from due to their rising heartbeat & other similar emotional changes.

This is my personal autism on this, but going by this chart from the 1st Patent, it basically measures the heartbeats through the controller & the VR headset.

The publisher would use that info to take appropriate action & take the thought criminal behind the shed &.... I mean, "quell the issue without making the "victim" go through manual steps".

As per the patent, Sony would relocate the victim in the game to be away from the harasser or vice versa, basically, it's a virtual witness protection for a heated virtual verbal barter, prosecuted on the possibility of it occuring, let alone actually occuring to begin with. Additionally, it would also cut off communication between both parties to protect the victim from further "harassment", kinda like an automated shadow-ban combined with what could essentially be a virtual restraining order. We can expect the publisher to punish the perpetrator by banning them entirely.

One more thing, going by both the patent's application dates this isn't actually a new thing, but Sony supposedly planned this shit since October of 2022 (the 2nd one with the emotions chart), & September of 2023 (the 1st one with the neuron activation VR headset).

Another thing, apparently this is last year's Sony Patent:

Edit: This wasn't from last year, this was Sony's attempt to fagify PS4 once.

Well north of 90% of the accounts I'm seeing aggressively trying to defend Arrowhead as poor widdle indie devs who had no way of understanding their agreement with Sony, are rocking troon flags and pronouns.

Weird.
They signed on when they were a fresh studio starting the original helldivers, not helldivers2.
Sony wasn't nearly as shit as they are today, and they had all the leverage, so they got the rights to the franchise in return for the funding (for helldivers 1)

I doubt an ArrowHead exec in the early ~2012 could know how fucking insufferable big tech would get by 2024.
There was no sign of even dust on the horizon at that time.

Unsurprising, I saw a study once that said that troons are among the most enthusiastic and cultish corporate consumers. Probably explains why trooning is being pushed so heavily.

The prospect of women but with lower impulse control makes corpos wet.

If people want to see true change happening in the gaming industry, they should start putting their money where their mouth is. They should stop watching youtube grifter videos that are designed to outrage them without providing any meaningful solution to the problem and only just exist to get clicks and money from their outrage. Leaving a bad review or going to twitter to voice your outrage won't solve your situation because Sony sees your complaints and they only see it as noise that will pass because it doesn't affect their bottom line.

If you want meaningful change to happen, here are the things you do:
1) Start requesting refunds of Helldivers 2 using @mindlessobserver's breach of contract template.
2) Save all of your correspondence for a class action lawsuit.
3) Pirate all Sony games from now on or buy them used so they don't get ANY of your money.
4) Read @mindlessobserver's thread on the PSN terms of service and share it with other Kiwis. (Link)

Stop waiting for the gaming industry to change it's bad practices to appease you. Stop watching youtube grifters that only care about making money off of you. Start requesting for refunds and organize for a class action lawsuit. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THIS WORLD.

iirc as long as you're not using a plugin that automatically unlocks all trophies, you're fine. Bear in mind you can no longer create a PSN account since 2022 on the device btw.
SIE is also aware whenever you run a pirated version of the game because of the key (which was generated by someone who owned a legitimate copy of the game so technically it's a duplicate) phoning home. But yeah they never gave a damn as far as I did remember.

Vita Slim has an onboard 1 GB memory so you don't need to look for a proprietary memory card in order to install the hack and use the sd2vita cartridge to store the games.
I remember using this guide back in the day but it's been such a long time (not to mention I moved to the Switch since 2020) that I can't confirm myself if it's still up-to-date.

I assume the online features for Soul Sacrifice Delta are also out of service, I had great memories with this game.

>helldivers dies a few months before the release of EDF6

Sorry, but the better game wins again

So we're at the point where Nintendo is the least prudish brand.
The main difference is that Nintendo remains a Japanese company with its HQ located at Kyoto.
I don't doubt things would be different if the american branch tried to usurp power and succeeded.

Holy shit. It takes less than 5 minutes to make a fucking sony account. Grow the fuck up. If there were less toxic faggot "pC mAsTeR rACe" people playing the game, maybe they wouldn't have bothered doing this in the first place? The moment something slightly inconveniences PC gamers, they chimp out and act like they're a member of some underground resistance movement or something.

It's cringe, and gay, stop it.

I'm not a sony fan, but It would be pretty funny if they refunded all the PC players, removed the game from PC, and ported the game to Xbox though.
Why make an account to play a game you bought that didn't require it before? Sony said they're doing it for "security," which means they want to oversee that community to revoke access at any time. Fuck that shit.
