You do know that people need to "own" the game on Steam to leave a review?

I don't know whether or not this is a requirement, because I've never attempted to astroturf reviews.

There is a work-around for this by malicious people:

Buy game, write review, refund game without playing it.

All that's required is ~$40 to rotate through a set of prepaid cards.

When it came out every staff position on their discord was being doxed and their families threatened that became very clear.
That and that we're on day 3 of it being flooded with fucking spam and people coordinating raids on random shit like tekken tournament streams.

a PC will never be as simple and easy as a console

I've been a console player since the early 90s and have always prefered the convenience of console + pad over PC. I had a few years dabbling with it at the turn of the millennium but jumped on the xbox/xbox 360 consoles again because it was easier. Since the early days of the PS4 i've played fewer games, thinking I was just getting old. After buying the PC and remembering how easy it was, changed everything.

@Ibanez RG 350EX is spot on the money, consoles are a lot of fucking about; signing in, downloading shit, flicking through 10 tiles to find a game that needs an update...it's all so tiresome. PC loads up in seconds, I double click the icon to play the game or, at worst, boot steam up and blam, i'm in a game.
Even downloading mods is easy after figuring out Nexus mods, which takes about as much time as downloading mods from the menu on Skyrim et al.

Why play consoles with no games, expensive hardware, expensive games, paid online, constant updates, meta-dats scraping spyware, censorship, shite UI's and, the worst of fucking all, social shit like "black out for BLM"?

Sorry for the rant but seriously, fuck modern day consoles. By the end of the this gen, a new company will enter the industry and offer a cheap console that can play all of the games at decent settings. If anything, Gabe should try the Steambox again; £250 console that plays all Steam games using Linux and pull the rug from both Sony and Microsoft.

The benefit of dealing with the complexity and bullshit of PC gaming is tons of control and freedom and flexibility. Consoles continue to increase complexity, while conferring the player with none of those benefits - in fact, you're more dependent on Sony with a Playstation 5 than you were with a Playstation 2.

Have you MET the people that use Uber Eats? What's the level below normalfag? Because that's what they are.

And it's not just restricted to food either. I've had to pick up fucking car batteries from AutoZone and tampons from Walgreens. Lazy doesn't even begin to describe what they are.

I can kinda understand a car battery.

The player base was steadily dropping off already (which is to be expected after a really strong release). However you can see an uptick pretty much every week-end since release, and a drop-off on Monday. Except this week-end, where the player count went down on Saturday, and again on Sunday. (The little [A] flag marks the account linking announcement).

You don't even have to look at the month-long data, the week-long data shows how much it has fallen. Last weekend had the game building up speed on Friday and then fall off after Sunday ended with a peak of 166k. This weekend peaked on Friday at 119k before the announcement circulated and it never surpassed that the rest of the weekend. That's nearly a 30% drop from just the announcement, I wonder how low it will be in a month when they make the link mandatory.

sony doesn't have the catalogue for it unless they pay for more exclusive (cutting into those profits) for games most people don't give a shit about anyway, the only other alternative is streaming via psnow or whatever, which bigger and more tech literate companies already tried.

You need to play a game for a minimum of five minutes to actually review it. Maybe not a big ask for the truly dedicated, but I think the simpler answer here is there are this many pissed off people.

They're now review bombing Helldivers 1, a completely different title.
