IIRC, her boyfriend/fiance used to sit in on her CG streams looking for all the world like a wax dummy. The only thing I really remember about him is that he got made fun of on the thread whenever he showed up.
I'd put my money on some kind of liver disease. I had a good friend who died of cirrhosis and he looked similar to Rackets a couple of years before he went terminal.
If he develops a huge belly that resembles pregnancy more than a beer gut, it's almost certain his liver is failing.

I always thought the Kickstarter boycott was one the more nonsensical things CG ever did. I am surprised it is still a thing. It's even dumber if Zac is using it now.

Wouldn't surprise me. I know he had Narwhal on one of his streams recently and Narwhal created his campaign on FMC and IGG. And didn't on KS only because of it being a lot of work. Tucci recommended he give KS a try since he thinks his stuff could probably do very well there. Palmiotti's recent campaign was also on KS. Baron meanwhile does campaigns on all three.
I suppose EVS and Malin can't or won't do anything to affect/attack them.
I forget where I saw it at, but I recall reading somewhere that it's believed EVS has some sort of special agreement/rate with IGG which is part of why he pushes them so hard. Anyone know if there is any truth to that?

Nah, it made sense in the beginning since the reason Meyer got kicked off the first time was clearly bullshit and it was pretty reasonable to assume anyone in their camp at the time would get the same treatment, so giving them any support then would have been silly. It got stupid when Malin continued to try to enforce the boycott and called anyone who did otherwise a traitor even though Meyer was openly supporting Kickstarter projects by then. Kinda weird for Meyer to go back to KS to crowdfund, but if they don't kick him off again, I suppose that's a win for him.
I recall seeing the same thing and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case since CG brought in a lot of huge campaigns in the beginning. Doubt that's still the case now with all those late as fuck books

I might be misremembering, but I think Kickstarter wronged Malin somehow as well, so I don't fault him for trying to boycott it - short of the social shunning and shaming, particularly when they don't go after Tucci for it. Or hell, they don't even bug JDA about his use of Kickstarter.
It isn't as if Indiegogo is super CG friendly anyhow with their shadowbanning and other shady issues. If EVS and those guys were really trying to be ideologically pure and make a point, they'd go with something like fundmycomic. Instead, they're making a tradeoff in order to reach a wider audience while they rip on other people who are doing the same thing.

Maybe at the very beginning it made a little amount of sense, but it absolutely stopped making any amount of sense a long time ago.
Now they are trying to apply this as some of loyalty test to CG with no practical purpose behind it. It's fucking gay. Plenty of non-woke comics have been successful on KS. I think what happened with Meyer back then was a fluke, and I always felt as such. I remember I pointing out several times that Iconic does fine on there, but Ethan just didn't care.
Ooooor.... they'd stop being enormous MANBABY FAGGOTS and work with the system Eric July set up for himself, and is looking to expand for the use of others. Doubtful July would pull any SJW bullshit.
But they can't think outside the box like that because "nigga outsold my comic."

Of course, in order to avoid shitting up the reputation of the good thing July built, that would probably mean they would have to get their fucking comics out on time, and maybe adopt the Iconic/Rippaverse model of having them ready to go before taking money, and... you know what? And out of all of the reissues, variant covers (shit I don't miss about the 90s) and worthless bumper stickers, I still count only 2 new issues delivered within the past 23 years. I bet if Comic Book Hut's Space Whale had been funded he'd be getting ready to outpace Cybersnail by now.

Yeah, Meyer had the misfortune of inadvertently becoming the face of a movement that was shitting on a lot of pros who had the pull to kick people out of their club and were petty enough to do it. Tim was lucky that he got out early and separated himself from that shit show so he wasn't weighed down by CG drama when he started crowdfunding there. Just another guy making big-breasted superhero comics on KS which are in a surprisingly large supply there. Wouldn't think so with the way CG goes on about that site.
But at this point, the boycott is all spite. Malin can't let go of the fact that he got told to fuck off years ago even though guys like Clint Stoker were able to get on once things cooled down. If they were smart they would have taken this unofficial unbanning as a win instead of keeping up this years long purity spiral to zero benefit.
