I bought a PS5 because I skipped the PS4.
So my thinking was it would be fine because they will probably stop the dual releases soon.
Well that was a few years back and new PS4 games are still coming...

It's bad regardless, but I haven't seen EA or Ubisoft block people from playing online for not subscribing to their system. Their shit is mostly to get people to pay monthly for an access to a catalogue. Which is basically what PSNow is. It's a completely different form of service - God I hate that word in this industry - to the conversation at hand. If you wanted a better example, you should have brought up Games for Windows Live.
Again, you make it sound like Sony is smart enough to realize this. With the economy as it is and even the state of the industry as is, they're in such a way that they're too large to survive. They will try to get blood from rocks. I mean, Microsoft might still beat them to the punch, but they're kind of floundering in a different direction right now.

I bought a PS4 because it was cheap and at the end of its life cycle. The PS5 was announced literally the week after. So I was thinking it would be fine because they would do some dual releases and then I'd just have to live with it.
Well that was a few years ago and I'm laughing my ass off.
The ineptitude of Sony to commit to the PS5 has made the PS4 the best console ever.

I've made a solemn vow that I'm not playing one more fucking game that prevents the player character from running in certain situations to make the presentation more "cinematic". Any time a developer exercises that kind of authoritarian control over something so trivial, I know exactly what the rest of that game is going to be like.

When you do this type of shit for a gaming system, you have no one to blame but yourself. Never heard of anyone doing this for any other gaming system, not even for a top of the line PC.

History is merely repeating itself. Like I said much earlier in this thread, when Capcom went multi-platform the Sonyggers were crying hard about feeling betrayed there too. If there's anything that the fans (and Sony) know how to do, it's cry and stomp their feet when something doesn't go their way.

Good on them, well Square. Square and Capcom are 2 of the only publishers atm who are starting to realize what is happening and the industry is shrinking. I think Square will shutter all non Jap studios like the old days and good it worked for capcom. I hope this accelerates FF16 coming to PC but most of all I hope this makes them convince disney to allow them to put KH on steam. I just want to fucking play KH purchasing it from Steam and not that fucking Epic store.

Well that's WoW, which is pure addiction in video game form so that's not a surprise. I would also not be surprised if some woman fucked a guy for fixing her computer so she could get back to her Sims game. Unless there are multiple stories of this happening, in which case....damn. But these 'PS5 secured' pics are common enough to where it became a meme for a reason.
Though to be fair, there's an equal amount of Nintendo fans soy-facing over their wife's boyfriend buying them a Switch and it has me wondering, which is worse? Letting your wife fuck another guy for a console, or fucking some nasty old geriatric man/woman for one?

Sony Ponies on suicide watch. LOL. Looking back at it, going full PC was probably the smartest decision I've made. My PC is decidedly High Low / Low Mid tier, but it does exactly what I want it to do. I can pretty much play anything from early 80s to around 2018 at Medium settings, and I'm pretty solid.
Expect the PC demographic to grow over the next few years or so. Youtube is always recommending me vids of people building their first real gaming PC, so yeah. The demo is growing. Eat shit, console cucks.

I thought iPhone/Mac owners were vain, uppity consumers. PS5 consumers/fanboys manage to stoop even lower. I know it's a joke (at least I hope so) but it shows how far people will go for a piece of plastic that will go obsolete in the next few years. They deserve what they get.
