Fallout series

Not really. The thing is, the Sorrows and the Dead Horses deserve to be left alone in their home. Joshua Graham lets them defend themselves and try to claim his home finally in Zion, they need to learn defend themselves and he's the best teacher they could have for this type of survival.

Also, considering the story of Randall Clark, the Survivalist and Father of the Caves, and the final message of leaving Zion to the children of the tribe. Defending Zion from the White Legs is just the right thing to do.

Daniel is a faggot, he unintentionally treats the Sorrows and Dead Horses like they're animals, even when he means no harm, talking about innocence and their kindred spirit is not gonna do shit when you have a tribe of savages and killers wanting to hunt them to please Caesar. Having them run away from Zion, one of the few safe-ish places in United States after the war, and go to who knows what horrible place awaiting them is just going to be the end of their tribe in the long run. Running away from them is not the solution, it only makes the tribe of savages stronger.

Basically, Team Joshua all the way.
Hell, just ask Follows-Chalk why they fight against the White Legs. He basically calls you a fucking retard with his first remark and then lays out in pretty blunt terms why.
Well... because they're our enemies. What else would we do? They take our land, they kill our scouts, they poach our hunting grounds.

I just finished my main storyline playthrough of Fallout 3 and the epilogue shames you (You're not like your father!!) for sending in Fawkes instead of yourself despite him surviving. What kind of bullshit is that? I was supposed to kill myself instead of sending in a giant retarded radiation proof monster who did the exact same thing I would have done? What sense does that make? Bethesda writing is trash.
You should have seen how people reacted in 2008. It was even worse when Fawkes refused to go in because it was your "destiny".

what's even worse, the new ending (broken steel dlc) still calls you a coward for not wanting to die. calling the person who actives the purifier the "real" hero. someone at Bethesda (Emil) must have really been butthurt.

The player surviving the game was added in Broken Steel as a response to everybody calling Emil a mongoloid even back then. For somebody who apparently doesn't care about the quality of his work, it's a line going consistently downward since Bloodmoon, he's remarkably thin-skinned.

I just assume they were too cheap to get Perlman back for a line/he was too busy, since it's a rehash of the line for if you send Lyons in to go do it. Still pretty awful. Should've just stuck Todd in the recording booth and had him spit something out. At least that'd be funny.

Fallout tactics I'm just playing it now first time it's actually really fun and the voice cast is amazing
the guy who's ordering you around is literally voiced by none other than
R. Lee Ermey
also the brotherhood of steel makes a lot more sense they act a lot more like a military I think the problem with tactics is that it should have been more of an open world RPG tactical three person squad game rather than a mission based game

I noticed that and it actually pissed me off. I was doing a good karma run and was basically the savior of the waste and I get called a coward for not killing myself for no reason. Very rarely will I ever get legitimately mad over a video game but that got me.

Be a real fan like you all claim to be and only play 1 & 2. They're the most fun, well written games in the series anyway. Everything from 3 onwards should be a hard stop if you dudes hate bethesda so much. Even NV is just a nostalgia fag trap sponsored by Bethesda that most people unironically bought into :story: (the dlc was really good though and saves the game just barely)

Or I guess you guys can keep circlejerking the same critiques for 16 years straight without ever learning your lesson and blaming them for literally forcing you to play their mediocre games. Whatever you think is a more fun use of your time.

>"Real fan"
>"Only play 1 & 2"
>No mention of Sonora

While I much enjoy base game New Vegas, far as I'm concerned NV is merely a vessel to be filled by the Someguy Series.

Alright. I'll do that to be a true fan.

Still throwing shit at Bethesda though, fuck you.

Fallout 3's writing still would've been awful regardless but the whole ending wouldn't be jarring if they just made up some excuse for your companions not being able to come with you in the final mission
"We'll hold the line here with Liberty Prime, you and Sarah go inside and stop Autumn!"

That's all it would have taken.

Daniel is a disingenuous cowardly faggot. Even if I was a pacifist I wouldn't side with him, I would just do nothing and let Joshua do all the work.

I wouldn't call him a coward, as he's obviously willing to fight so that the tribals can flee to 'preserve their innocence', or disingenuous because I think he truly believes in he's doing.

He is definitely wrong to infantilize the tribals though, and that's the main point- it's not going to work in the long term because the outside world exists. It's basically like his lies to Waking Cloud on a greater scale, because it's all going to come out eventually.

He's not a bad man, but he's very clearly the *worst* choice for the tribals and Zion as a whole. It's no use retaining your innocence if you're dead.

As someone said awhile back, Graham tempered by a little Daniel-esuqe mercy is probably the closest you can get to what Randall Clark wanted for them.

Which is what you get when you convince Graham to spare Salt-Upon-Wounds. He chills off a little, realizes that he's been rationalizing his own bloodlust this whole time, and the Dead Horses take his lessons to heart.
