Shooting 5.7 as a civilian is faggoty in general. The entire point of the caliber was the SS190 and civilians can't buy that. Without it, it's inferior to 9mm in basically every metric except ammo capacity within a similar footprint but if 18 shots don't solve your problem 21 probably won't either. So basically you're paying a larping retard tax for no benefit. I don't pay too much attention but the three guys i've seen shooting 5.7 at my local club are all idiots so there might be a pattern here.

He does remind me of the type that would buy a cheap AR and put a bunch of dumb tacticool shit on it. That's what I did with my first AR but I was self aware enough to realize it was dumb. Even if you do aim for the head it may not be a kill shot. You can hit jaw or some other non lethal area When hunting they want you to minimize the amount of suffering the animal has. It's why you should never aim for the head when bow hunting. When my cousin goes out she takes aim at the same area's you would if your elevated or at eye level as you would with a gun. At least that's what I've seen of the photo she takes of her deer.

That's why you gotta T zone if you go for the head. It's become trendy to intellectualize it and say cranial vault, but you're essentially aiming for the nose/eyes, for humans facing head on, in order to blow out the brain stem. Remember that bodies are 3D targets. Plenty of hunters take medium game with headshots, not with bows, but the simple fact is that most people aren't good enough shots to reliably do so. It also creates more of a mess when you're going to the game stations because you have a fucked up mangled head you have to preserve.

The woods where I live are generally dense. You're usually not shooting deer much out of bow range unless you have a feed plot or something. I could easily headshot deer at those ranges, but it's not worth to me because there is the risk of last second movement spoiling the shot. I've had it happen when killing livestock for other people. They don't trust me and have jerked around as I'm literally pulling the trigger. It sucks. When you're talking about a squirrel, I'm blowing it's head off every time. I take them at close range, don't want lead in my meat (I use lead free as much as possible), and the skull is small enough that even a shot that slightly off is annihilating the brain with skull fragments temporary stretch cavity.
