Then the cops demand the door code. Nick says no, and tells them they're gonna have to do a dynamic entry.

For some inexplicable reason Sean says "good" as to the last part.

Anyways, they go dynamic. Now you got people on both sides talking about how traumatic that must have been for kids.

As far as I'm concerned, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department did not traumatize Nick's kids. If the kids were traumatized by what they did, NICK FORCED THAT SITUATION!

Aside from the fact Nick shouldn't have all that shit in the house in the first place, a reasonable person, ESPECIALLY a lawyer, would realize that with a warrant, they are gaining access one way or another (a point Sean seemingly agrees with), and that just punching in the door code would avoid a lot of unpleasantness for the kids

Sorry Sean, but that part really irritated me. I'm critical of the police at times too, but this total "fuck the po-po, never give 'em an inch" crap seems little different than Nick's gay "ODD."

You've been around for awhile, so you probably already know this... and here I am typing anyway:

Sean, like many others, are thinking of Nick in terms of how they would advise their client. A lawyer's primary concern isn't based in morality, and not even in the law really, much less the "spirit" of the law. Their interests are inherently self serving as it extends to their client's needs and their job is essentially to argue to make things go their way. This is why we are seeing such hypocrisy and other... slip ups(?) in character like Kurt "resenting" the pastor who acted as a mandatory reporter. Self-interest is at the heart of what they do and they care more about their client/friend Nick than his family as evidenced by their behavior to this point.

Although it can be depressing, it isn't surprising that any "based" lawyer whose modus operandi is not to cooperate with law enforcement in any way could sometimes find themselves in opposition to laws that are meant to protect other people (children included).

Sean isn't wrong, legally.

Confused. Are you (or Sean) actually asserting that not allowing the police entry when they have a valid warrant is the correct thing to do legally? Non-compliance of this kind seems unnecessary and more detrimental all around.

For example, while it may not be wise to speak with the police, physical compliance (pulling over in your car and providing license/registration, opening the trunk of your vehicle, getting on the ground with your hands behind your head, sobriety tests, etc.) seems like the better option... unless they want the police to apply force (as in this case).

There will be time for arguments and technicalities later in the courtroom.

I do not like cops. They are essentially mercenaries who enforce laws they may not even agree with in exchange for a paycheck. They are the footsoldiers of the status quo. And a great number of them are addicted to having power and authority over others.
So what is your grand idea for how we enforce law? Anarchy? Genuinely curious.

It's a job someone has to do. There's freaks in every profession.

She deserved a dressing down. She maybe even deserved the max sentence.

I am questioning the judge's reasoning for the decision, and feel it was highly improper. I am not disagreeing with the sentence itself, nor even the judge explicitly condeming the defendant's vile behavior.

I also seriously question Nick's seriously deficient representation in asking for no custodial sentence at all (that was clearly not happening and should not have happened), and for not preserving the issue for appeal when the judge said it, because he instead chose to wait until he had the female judge as a captive audience in an elevator before smugly insulting her.

Considering what we now know about Nick, I think a female stuck alone in an elevator with him making hostile statements would be threatening.
I still think Nick has giant Mommy-issues. That one picture with his Dad at the charity events in Tuxes screams that he’s massively disappointed in his son, but is paying for his lifestyle. I think his mom has told him no before and it’s why he moved closer to Kayla’s family. I think Kayla is the opposite of his mother, Celeste seemed to work during Nick’s adolescence, but not to the degree where she was absent.

Kayla as a whole is someone who I can’t pin down. From Nick’s telling of her life she was a cheerleader/ theatre kid for most of her life, got a useless degree, married Nick after he wore her down (knew him in HS, he was her gay best friend in college), went through a lot of miscarriages, and shilled a CBD scam on one of Nick’s early shows.
She came across as a granola girl retard to me, the type who’s not smart enough to sniff out a scam. She listed off her anti-depressants her first or second stream. My assumption was that was weak, but I want to know if her appeal to Aaron (if his account was true) just a cry for sympathy rather than a real cry for help.

In Nick’s case I’d take a guess at him having Meth sores and scabs. It’s extremely common and I am sure even if some of you have no interest in drug culture or live in a heavy narco area, you could spot a meth face from a crowd.
Humans naturally detect facial characteristics that suggest another human is a threat. Nick has all of that shit. He is obviously a fucked-up psycho you would be well-advised to avoid.

I decided to scroll back through locals and collected some more. I figured it would be dead, but this comment made me scroll back to over 14 hours ago...

THE STATE HAS NOT ALLEGED THAT NICK REKIETA WAS USING COCAINE
IF HE WAS USING COCAINE IT'S OKAY BECAUSE HE WAS TRYING TO BE A DAD AND STREAM FOR US AT THE SAME TIME

This is the most insane thing I've read. I really don't know what else to say other to say enjoy the rest of these comments.

"Nick had something on his nose... he eats donuts... that could have been powdered sugar"

:story:

This fucking nigger.
Nick could fucking get busted jerking off in public hiding in a bush at a childrens playground and this clown would try to argue the kids were too young to understand what was happening.

That Complete Random is such an enabling Balldo guarding cuck.

What about Mr Tough Guy, the clown who's always threatening people, I forgot his name, he said anything yet?

I'm hoping it rises to the level of an Audit the Audit feature.

"As for Mr. Rackets, he gets an F, for maintaining a rude and confrontational demeanor throughout the encounter, fundamentally misunderstanding the legal authority granted by a search warrant, and failing to assert his fifth amendment rights. I would encourage Mr. Rackets to further his education of the law and his constitutional rights in the future."
I could see EWU doing it, but I’ve only really seen Code Blue Cam cover Noah (who’s a retard from La Crosse) and that crazy woman from Stevens Point with the suspended license. This story only keeps growing and Nick isn’t really doing anything to diffuse it.

I don't object to the idea of law enforcement officers existing, but in my country (U. S. A.), there are a lot of problems with how that idea is currently implemented. I don't want to derail the thread with my political sperging, though, so I'll leave it at that.

That arraignment was terrible for Balldo, it showcases his hubris and shows hes learned absolutely nothing. Hes a lawyer allegedly and commits the most egregious sin one can while talking to police, representing yourself and not getting your own lawyer. I for one cant wait for the bodycam footage to drop and channels like codeblue and EWU pick it for their breakdown series
Oh my god. I bet EWU is already trying to get the body cam footage.

"What's new EWU crew. Today, we're going to take a look at the case of an attorney famous right here on Youtube. He rose to popularity covering cases like Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, but his life took a turn for the worse when he started using DRUGS. You won't BELIEVE how this story ends"
