Those wild-eyed expressions have been poking through for a long time and it's easy to see a quick-tempered boss lady pigmy. Isn't the point of first offense is that the defendant either didn't know the law or did a stupid mistake at the heat of things that shouldn't ruin his life? A lawyer that consistently blitzed in drugs doesn't really apply to those.

Highly doubtful. Under Minnesota's sentencing guidelines for drug offenses, Nick will probably get a suspended sentence if found guilty.
That being said, that will require him to keep his nose clean for about 4 or 5 years.
For a degenerate like Nick, that is practically a death sentence.
