The early Kino Casino streams were funny but cringe in many ways. PPP made it wayyy too obvious that he was an outright troll and was only in this for the laughs. Pressed guests too hard and didn't give them enough room to speak, and generally came off as trying too hard to make people look bad.
Today's stream was actually great. I'm seriously impressed with how Ashton and Andy have improved as hosts. Andy still can't figure out tech which is fine, it's plays into his character. Andy is the lovable idiot who puts guests into a sense of comfort and ease, and Ashton hits them with well worded questions that makes the guest panic, but not run. You can tell when PPP presses Aaron how Aaron feels like he has to respond as quickly as possible to PPP's comments. Makes him come off as desperate to look good. He knows he's a scum bag and he hopes that by appeasing Ashton he'll win the audience over. But that's the trap, instead he just looks like a dumbass who's desperate to look cool and not like a fucking loser. Desperate really is the word.
The appropriate response to PPP pressing you is saying something like "why do you care so much?" and reversing the direction of the questions to highlight how PPP doesn't actually give a shit. But the guests being pressed are too dumb and desperate to look good to pass up an opportunity to get on their knees and give Ashton exactly the answer he's looking for. Ashton doesn't care if you say "yeah I did bad things" or "no I didn't do anything wrong", he just wants you to answer. That's the trap, and the only proper response is to not answer. But the combination of Andy putting the guests at ease and the guests being too retarded to realize what's going on is what really makes the guest tie their own noose, Ashton just hands them the rope.
When Kino Casino started I didn't really think it'd go too far. I thought it'd be obvious to any guest what the ploy was. This stream totally proved me wrong, and it was really enjoyable to listen to! Just don't let the success get to your heads. Or noses, rather.
