Because I find it very hard to believe that just one fucking setting was all that was holding him back from being a 1900+ Master ranked player. I'm not the most tech-minded person I don't know what HDR is I don't know what refresh rate means I don't know any of this stuff and I doubt Dave knows either.

To be fair changing certain settings can make your game experience smoother and even help you improve. Like for example in shooters where if you raise the sensitivity and arent completely shit and can adapt. Youll have an advantage over others will low or standard sensitivity. In case of dsp, no, he just happen to be from a bygone era of fighting games and age has caught up to him as his reflex and eye sight have deteriorated and it doesnt help that he has grown accustomed to the "cinematic game" type of games where they basically play themselves or has to tell you what to do along with a big marker pointing you to the direction you need to go. Remember he is what the target demographic was for God of War ps4 or some shit.

Which is fine if you want to do 1080p @ 60fps, but you can't capture 4k @ 60fps, it's pretty clear about that. There are models that do that, but it seems like he did not get said model.

Could have also just gotten the Elgato 4K X which does it, but Amazon consumer that he is, he probably just searched for 4k capture device and bought whatever popped up. I have this capture card. It is produced in Taiwan and aim at the customers who don't want to overspend. It does its job for capturing 1080 60 FPS, but the graphic quality is still not as good as Elgato series.

This card basically let the hobbyist to capture their gameplay and upload to youtube for shit and giggles, or the streamers who just started to stream.

However, Phil is the BIG STREAMER, there is no reason for him to use this card at all. I guess he want to spend the leftover money into his wrestling game addiction

Yeah don't get me wrong, if your goal is 1080p60 you're probably solid, but this dumbass is all about 4K all of a sudden, and I've learned the lesson of "not all 4K adapters are the same". When you get that wire or USB hub that spits out 4k30 for a desktop monitor, ooof.

Now if he just dials it back to 1080p he'll be fine but he's Phil so who knows.

It's not that the TV didn't have HDR, the capture card sits between the console or whatever and the TV. so If the old capture card didn't give the TV HDR and this one does, hes not necessarily wrong.

Although I think I heard him say he was using his old cord, which wouldn't work so he's still probably wrong.
