I don't think the police claimed the kids were unwashed, the bad hygiene/smell was in regards to their clothes.
I really hope that's the case, that would make this situation even worse.
Still, how do you have 5 kids and not have a decent amount of clothes for each one? Even if you have youngers ones who are used to having a parent pick out their clothes and make sure they're changed, past a certain point the kids, left to their own devices, would have to just pick one out themselves...assuming the drawers and the shelves were stocked with clothes.
It's because the washing machine and dryer were in the crack den where mummy and daddy were shooting up different white substances into different holes
This explanation honestly sounds much more plausible, which makes things even sadder: They must have burned thru all their spare pairs but were too scared to go near the machines(or worse, they didn't even know how to use it themselves)
Nobody should ever live like this, but it's ridiculous for how well this family had it, to degenerate to such conditions. Hopefully this will put a fire under their asses and teach them real quick that they will have to be more independent from now on.
EVS is now directly blaming the children.

Something tells me might be the kind of guy who spends an entire week with the same pair of underwear and thinks it's normal.
Even a child knows that they have a social obligation even in their school to not come in filthy, starving and disheveled. Not only does it make them look bad, it will make the other kids start talking and earn them nicknames. I bet that has already started, I doubt the classmates care about the context of the situation, nor that the Rekieta kids would be happy about it.
But sure, that must have been their own decision they came up to on their own, all 5 of them, all to make their dad look bad on the internet as an epic troll. What did poor Nick do to deserve such hellspawn?
