Well, no. That last part is simply not true. 2019 Rekieta was remarkably productive.

By 2019, Nick had stuck it big on Youtube, starting with Weebwars (Maddox was before then, but it was only an appetizer). His earnings on Youtube were far in excess of anything he could have earned as a small town lawyer. I think lot of people, if given the same opportunity, would have made the same decision to begin transitioning away from active practice. It simply makes economic sense. I can't really fault him for that.

What I will endlessly mock him for is throwing all that away to become a degenerate faggot. IOW, basically what Metokur said.

Another thing is that he used to do a thing called "show prep," and it showed. So I seriously doubt he was anywhere near as much of an alcoholic in 2019 as he is now. I don't thinking he was lying around the house all day drinking. The shows then would have very different, and he wouldn't have taken off.

Watching Sean, I think he could learn a lot from 2019 Weebwars Rekieta in terms of show prep. Though, FFS, don't emulate anything from late 2022 onwards.

It was often said at the time that Nick was a better commentator than a lawyer. Emphasis was. Now he's shit at both.
2019-2021 Balldo was on top of his game.
He only really seemed to fall apart around the latter half of the Depp Trial, you could see something went seriously wrong, but he held it together for a little while longer.
When all the cuck shit came out and the Lolcows Wine Moms started Balldowashing is when he really started to loose it.
I gave up watching the train wreck around Thanksgiving last year, I had no idea he'd sunk so low until about a month or so ago when I started watching the thread again.
He's gone down fast over the last 6 months.

It seems to me the Swinging shit was the start of it.
The only Swinging the Balldo's should do now is from a fucking tree.
Leaving their kids neglected so they could turn in weird BDSM cokeheads.

Fuck them.

There are so many cautionary tales that Rekieta could learn from, and that's just regarding the drinking.
Considering Aaron is an Anthony Cumia clone, this one seems particularly relevant:

Lady Diane had been a fan of the O&A show for decades, she worked for a brewery and became a massive alcoholic. They'd spend years talking to her when she'd call in telling her to get her shit together, they arranged for her to go to AA, they even eventually hired her as a paid intern to find purpose. Nothing worked and she ultimately lost her husband, her son, and her home.

Eventually one day, she calls in from the ICU suffering from a complete psychotic break from the alcohol. She barely still knew who she was, but she thought she was back on a Navy ship from her youth. You can hear Opie and Jim's hearts sink as they realize how lost she is. Hearing her repeatedly exclaim in confusion "I'm on a ship! I'm on a ship!" is brutally tragic. Pretty sure she died soon after that call.

This is exactly the direction Nick is heading with his drinking unless he turns it around. He's going to be sitting in the ICU, doing imaginary livestreams to himself, thinking he's still in his office talking to Drex, asking the doctor when he can see his wife or children, and he'll never be able to turn it back.

He needs rehab yesterday and even then, it's probably too late.

One thing I don't really understand about these lawtubers simping for Nick ... it's entirely possible to be someone's friend, stand by them and give them your full support while also admitting "oh yeah, this one's a doozie and he's fucked up good this time."

It's not mutually exclusive. I'd have more respect for these people if they said "hey you guys fuck off, Nick's my friend, he's messed up big time, I make no excuses, but I'm still doing what I can to help him and you can like it or lump it."
Im really sure this was where Andrew tried to be for a while before things started escalating. But he started distancing himself around the Eric July stuff.

Sean tried to maintain decent distance with Nick for much longer, up until the whole shower superchat when Nick blew up at him.

Basically what Im saying is that there were people who stood around that line of "im your friend but youre being stupid", but Nick chased them all away. I mean, he even chased Coomelot away and Coom would suck Nick's dick figuratively and literally.

Nick went to law school because he didn't like working regular jobs. After several years out of college, he decided to go to law school. His parents paid for the law school and fully supported Nick's family financially while he was in law school. They after he graduated they spent further money setting him up in a law office of his own. It lasted about three years and 28 cases. Then he shut down the office and moved home to drink full time.

Nick has in recent years been clear that he hated law school, held his professors in total contempt as life failures for teaching and didn't like practicing law. I mean that is why Nick has said that Rekieta Law has never been a law channel.
I don't know what your point is. You just admitted Nick was at one point a lawyer, which was my point. Who gives a rats anus how he got there? Plenty of people hate regular jobs. Plenty of people hate their schools and teachers. Nick was a lawyer, regardless of quality. If your point was he was a bad one or pathetic one, yeah. However, there's a world out there where YouTubing never took off and Nick is still a practicing Lolyer to this day. Maybe even a good one. That's not what happened, but had streaming not taken off, I don't see any other choice he would've had.

If your point is that Nick isn't Chadis Daddicus, yeah he turned out not to be. That doesn't mean for a time he wasn't trying to be one. To a degree, you could make the argument he was getting there to being that kind of person. That's how he got popular in the first place. He didn't get popular because he pulled the veil over everyone's eyes. He got popular because he was genuine. He didn't go to law school to inflate his ego. He went there to find a career to support his family that would work for everyone.

Of course that person now is long gone. However, that's why addiction is classified as a disease. Nobody starts out as a narcissistic, child abusing, drug riddled alcoholic. There's something that gets them there. There's something that got Nick there. Yes, it's all his fault. But saying deep down inside of him is this degenerate yearning for drugs, swinging, and cucking is fucking ludicrous. Personalities and one's psychology don't work that way. That was Freudian shit and he was dismissed as a crackpot decades ago.

Considering Balldo would stay up getting Anime Sucks Cope and Sneed level fucked up till the early hours, and then climb into the Mustang or his Lincoln a few hours later and attempt to drive his kids places, this is the most likely option I can think of, apart from "Balldo overdoses on stream".
Looking at the states he's been getting in recently, and then realizing this dude is getting into a car mere hours after being in those states, a serious Nicky Catsouris level RTA was inevitable and only a matter of time.
A huge rail of coke before he jumped in the car may have made Balldo think he was fit to drive, but looking at his most recent streams, that motherfucker was likely going to kill himself in his car driving in those states.
If he was lucky it would be after he dropped the kid off if he was unlucky, with the kid in the car and possible head on into another car full of people.
I believe this happened on a regular basis, but I'm amazed that he never got a DUI/DWI. Even when he got pulled over by the cops when his house got raided, that was right after the cokestream, right? He had to still have been at least somewhat buzzed or drunk at this point if not higher than a kite. I don't know how he managed to get away with it for this long.

so where was nick getting the coke? is it that easy to get without being laced with fentanyl? would this be a question he would have to answer as part of a plea agreement?
Somewhere in Minneapolis most likely. They will press him in the plea deal to give up the source. And he'll snitch or go to trial and face the 25 years.

Excuse me if this was already covered within the thousands of pages but I have a bit of curiosity about the housemaid.

When did she leave? Why no replacement? An employee usually gives a month's notice before leaving, it's weird that they would spend a long time without one.

Why did she leave? Did the degeneracy scare her off?

If she left without proper notice, did the rackets try to absorb her into the swing?
We have some idea about all of these, but it's mostly speculation.

1. When did she leave? Aaron claims it was before he got there, so at least 6 months? Who knows if he's telling the whole truth or if he even knows the whole story, although I think this is plausible.

2. Why no replacement? Well, it is a small town and there are probably limited options. There are any number of reasons why it would be difficult:

a) Just a limited number of candidates. Maybe there just wasn't someone willing to do the job, or just weren't high on Nick's fuckability scale.
b) It's a small town and word travels quickly. Maybe there have been rumors circulating in the community for awhile and no one wants to get close to the family because of the shady shit going on. Maybe it goes as far as the previous nanny warning people to stay away from Nick.
c) Good old background research, it's not hard to find info about Nick online that makes him look like a nightmare to work for.

3. As for giving notice, maybe this whole thing was more of a handshake deal, who knows. I doubt Nick is a great boss or understands anything about professional behavior; listen to his stories of when he had a job, he's not well-versed on standard practices.

4. Swing? Honestly, how do we even know she wasn't the human-fleshlight prototype? On her pinterest she has posted Narc-recovery and coping shit, are we sure their relationship was strictly professional? There is almost no chance that Nick didn't at least hit on her, forget about 2am shower texts, god only knows what disgusting shit he would be saying. If she wasn't part of the swing, it's certainly not because Nick was unwilling.

In my opinion, the $3,000 snack bill is highly suspect. I feel like this is probably the nanny trying to supply the kids with food they could eat without actual preparation because the parents can't be trusted to make dinner. On the other hand, Nick said the nanny doesn't clean and if they are making these batshit insane purchases it makes me feel like he couldn't just fire her, in which case maybe the nanny was supposed to be his personal whore.

If my nanny couldn't clean the house, make dinner, or even keep a budget I would fire her. Unless I just wanted to fuck her, in which case all of the poor caretaking skills suddenly become irrelevant.

My personal favorite schizo-headcannon? Nick was moving April in before the nanny left and this instigated her leaving. Maybe Nick was trying to build his anime harem and the nanny didn't like it; maybe Nick kicked the nanny to the curb to upgrade to next year's model. Either way, once April's dirty clothes started to to appear atop the laundry piles the nanny was gone.

Nick already snitched on himself and his wife, he has a mouth for it. The cops just have to check his insta to get a lead on the dealers and whores he sees in Minneapolis.

I doubt it was Nick alone wanting to watch his wife get plowed by the BBC team in Jamaica.

FIRST OF ALL, no black penis has EVER fouled Our Wife. If there was swinging taking place, it was with WHITE penises/couples. The only reason they went to a resort in Jamaica was because Rekieta, the swine, is turned on by humiliation. Kayla, like the princess she is noped right out of it. “No black penises for me, Nick! Suggest it one more time and I’m flying home!”

She is equally responsible for the neglect of the children and people need to stop trying to defend her.

She is a sweet, confused woman who has been gaslit for years by Rekieta, to the point of taking crazy pills.

Get some help. She won't sleep with you.

Yeah, well… That's like your opinion. And it’s WRONG!

2. Why no replacement? Well, it is a small town and there are probably limited options. There are any number of reasons why it would be difficult:

They originally “found her” through their church. I’d reckon that by the time she quit, the Rekieta’s were widely rumored to be out of control in the church, so there likely weren’t any candidates.

It also came at a time where Nick was earning a lot less, so…

I think Nick is a lot more hooked through the Balldo by the scotch bottle than some people think. The physical difference in him is fucking frightning, look at those year by year side by side pictures.
Months before Rekieta's arrest, I sporadically watched his gradual dissolution on this thread with some interest and a measure of pity. I was familiar with Rekieta mainly from Comicsgate and the Vic lawsuit and had followed the panel discussions he chaired during the Rittenhouse trial, but rarely watched his streams afterward, mainly because I'm a recovering drunk myself and watching someone getting blitzed in real-time isn't my idea of a good time. It's actually painful to watch since it reminds me of all those times I acted like a drunken buffoon in public, at least those times that weren't in a blackout.

Regarding outcomes, Rekieta and his wife will probably skate on most or all of the charges if only because they have enormous resources. A poor man would fry. But even so, the legalities of it don't change the reality of his situation: his relationship with his kids has been irreparably damaged, his wife is likely estranged, and he's an alcoholic--an alcoholic who is currently refusing to seek treatment because Rekieta's fucked-up mind thinks rehab will somehow weaken his legal position, which is insane.

No rehab means he'll keep drinking. If he keeps drinking, his mind and body will fail him, probably sooner rather than later since the process tends to accelerate toward the end. If he's really unlucky, his mind will go first and he'll end up in an institution somewhere, wet-brained and idiotic, then vegetative, then dead. It's a fucking hard way to go.

Nick already snitched on himself and his wife, he has a mouth for it. The cops just have to check his insta to get a lead on the dealers and whores he sees in Minneapolis.
Agreed, however, for prosecution is always better to have a rat to point at the dealer while on the witness stand. So they'll still want him to give names and be part of his plea deal most likely that he needs to name them personally.

Hi Aaron. Didn't know you had a kf account.

Balldo apparently follows his drug dealer (brainlet advertises on their socials) on other platforms, I forget which as I don't use socials. Along with other hookers and lot lizards he follows.
Edit: @break these cuffs beat me to it

<SNIP>
the only way to get rid of alcohol is to have a very religious society and a strong religious ban on alcohol, like islam, so everybody is indoctrinated from birth to reject alcohol as sinful and forbidden.
Biblically, drinking is not a sin (sandies and their Satanic verses not withstanding), drunkenness is. The Hebrews were instructed to give "strong drink" (fortified wine or a tincture akin to laudanum) That doesn't even mean intoxication, remember the Canaanite wedding? The word(s) in Aramaic and Greek point to habitual drunks, the Coverdale, KJV all the way through the RSV (I believe) translated them as "wine bibbers". Nick is a wine bibber; a.k.a. A drunk assed narcissist.

I don't really watch Anna because she's annoying.
This old boomer has had to learn so many names and spent so much time on Urban Dictionary to figure out the references and vernacular. A whole different world of autism surrounding this shit.

Actually, prohibition in the US in the 1920ies worked.

A lot of people like to pretend that it was a huge failure because it didn’t magically make alcohol consumption disappear overnight. But if you look at statistics, alcohol consumption fell pretty dramatically.
Worked? Yeah there was a national drop in consumption but the vast majority of the population lived outside of urban centers then. And the rise in organized crime along with its brutality made the Mafia with their absolute control of unions, every sort of criminal enterprise until about the eighties. Giuliani's use of RICO effectively emasculated the Mafia's grip on major crimes. So maybe an asterisk on "worked".

For people out of the loop, the blue one is prosecutor and the grey one is the defendant (he won BTW).
That moment was unbelievable! Cummings' defense attorney Carey Morrisey is the special prosecutor on the Rust shooting cases. After watching Hannah Gutierrez' Trial, and this one, Baldwin is fucked. I now return you to your normally scheduled train wreck voyeurism.

Edited to autistically add a couple of tidbits.

by all the evidence floating around from the docs :story:

"A gun under ther bed is normal for household protection."

Kayla: "Never cross [my 7 year old daughter]. She comes into [my room] every morning: "Mom, I love you, can I snuggle you, can I hug youuu?" ... Of course child, because if I say no you might murder me!"

Nick: "Yep. She's exceedingly violent."

Guys I got it figured out:
"Your Honor, I was not neglecting my children—I was maintaining a safe distance from my daughter's threatening aura."

The gun under the bed was obviously to keep the innocent parents safe when their daughter monsterfied at 8 in the morning while the coke helped them function knowing they could die in their sleep at any time.

Nick and Kayla are the true victims here but we just can't tell because we're still in the opening act of the IRL horror flick.

Judge Pussy Liquor is gonna be soooo mad when the 7 year old rips Her Honor's face off at the CPS hearing. 😢
