The slobs were involved long before that, just not publicly. We don't know when exactly screenwave started but it was sometime during the movie because all of the blurays of the movie are distributed by screenwave. If i remember correctly the slobs were hired on to help him with nerd videos while he was working on the movie.

Yes, Hollywood broke James because like a fucking retard he spent all the gofundme money traveling between his house and Hollywood. He could have saved money by filming it in his home town. He mixed and mastered the audio in his basement because he ran out of money, no surprise it's bad. It's mixed like a youtube video and not like an actual movie. He also didn't finish all of the movie shooting in Hollywood and ran out of money so some shots were filmed in his basement. He went about it all wrong.

According to his biography he has Asperger's or Autism. It was hard to read. If you haven't read it yet. I wouldn't, he didn't have an editor look at it. It's filled with weird spelling mistakes and punctuation, and is hard to follow. I had to get a summary from the subreddit.

I think big boy Ryan made his first appearance on the Cinemassacre site all the way back in 09 but I don't think he was any more involved with the videos than someone like Kyle Justin or Bootsy was. I didn't think Screenwave was involved until after the movie because I don't remember there being many AVGN videos during the movie's production except maybe one or two pre-recorded episodes, hence why James says "I'm back" first thing in the Schwarzenigger games episode as a joke, it was his first time making an episode since the movie. We all know that Mike was releasing some classics on his own for the site during the movie.

Also I disagree entirely, If you have never read James' book then you must do so. It's so bad that it's fucking hilarious and you'd think James has a humiliation fetish with how he embarrasses himself on practically every page of the book.

You should watch the horse video. It isnt good at all, infact it is one of his worst in years, but it is the first video since 2020 where it feels like he is trying to do something. Does that make sense? like he fails miserably at what he is attempting to do but it very much felt like james himself may have actually had a new idea. Probably not likely but it is worth watching at least once regardless.

Between Scott showing up on the countless different Cinemassacre podcasts multiple times, to him having a 1 on 1 interview with James asking him very simple questions, to one of the slobs showing up in a Scott video, and then his merch. I can't help but believe these aren't just a bunch of coincidences.

NGL I actually did manage to listen to the audio book on one of my long ass drives. It was absolutely fascinating. The stuff about his school and college life is infinitely more interesting than anything he's made on the AVGN and makes me wonder why his feature film (AVGN the movie) wasn't about his college life. The film of the "roomgoers" destroying the dorm would have been infinitely more entertaining to watch than the avgn movie. I wish that lost media would turn up someday.

3 weeks since the Neighbor Nerds South Park video and no new uploads. The Horse Prince AVGN episode will go down as the first AVGN ever to not hit a million views. And the Castlevania episode is still struggling to hit a million.

Undoubtedly shit is going down behind the scenes. What will happen? Course correction? Will Screen Wave/James double down? Sudden announcement of retirement or James making a statement "I'm slowing it down to take it easy because kids." Just use his family as a shield again. And I'd prefer he just slowly retire and make videos about things he actually gives a fuck about. I would be fine with one quality AVGN per year.

He never really updated on content quaintly and things have just slowed down over time. Maybe a new James horror show here and there, and a few AVGN's now and there. It's not likely a time that he'll just come out and say it's done or any changes., the only time he announced any changes was during the movie. Otherwise it's on his own schedule, which is whatever he does.
