Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

They really hate men, don’t they?

Yes. And, by extension, they hate Star Wars fans. And they've created a corporate culture where none of these decisions can be questioned. Failures will be blamed on advertising, or on cultural changes, or trolls online...never on the fact that they put people who hate the fans and the IP in charge.

The only correct coping mechanism is to stop caring and move on. At least there's plenty of good sci-fi out there to watch.
I’m so glad I gave up on this slop when Andor got gay. The girlboss smuggler video game is going to be just as bad.

Still plenty of fanmade mods to look forward to though. It’s just anything that’s made by Disney that’s trash.

I had the Darth Maul bodywash in my shower for like 15 years. Only used it twice but it was so cool looking.
I found my Darth Maul bodywash while moving once, and I was like, fuck it, I'm using the Darth Maul bodywash. YOLO. If it's worth like $4,000 unopened now I guess I fucked up, but eh no regrets.

Fucking, what does that even mean? So is it even going to be called "Episode X"?
It means if it doesn't do well enough to justify a sequel they're gonna be like "yeah we totally meant to do that"

I'm tired of "new age" female writers adding witches to every fucking story. We get it, you worship evil, you're so edgy...
To allow them a tiny ounce of fairness: Force "witches" were a thing in the old EU, except these were badasses that rode Rancors as war steeds and used them as attack dogs. Naturally, the new ones are fucking lame.

I’m not going to watch the show, but I saw a clip being passed around and I just had to praise the Acolyte for its excellent world-building.

The black lesbian space witches are doing a gay ritual chant and count “one,” “two,” and then “many.” This is an allusion to the real life observation that primitive languages spoken by near-human primates lack proper number systems. They typically just have a word for “one” thing and a word for “many” things. Since it’s sci-fi, they added a speculative “two” to the futuristic Bantoid tribe’s language. High hopes for the future!

Just thought that was a nice bit of attention to detail in an otherwise abysmal production.
It’s shit like that makes me wonder why this cult can’t be just a dark side cult. You have the whole concept of the Force being a Thread which can be pulled upon but has consequences for doing so. While sounding cautious, it is antithetical to the Jedi philosophy of being in balance with the Force.

Are the Jedi right in removing the children from this cult? Are the Jedi snuffing out different Force organizations to maintain dominance? Why is this cult exclusively women? Do they have gendered perspective on the Force?

All interesting questions but we know that Disney would never explore them or if they do, they won’t provide satisfying answers.

Not to mention that everybody in Hollywood are Kabbalah talmut Jews for the millions time. Why else do you think that old media and folklore portrayed witches looking like old Jewish widows?

This reminds me of the Disciples/Cult of Ragnos that's led by a literal girl boss named Tavion, a student of the former Dark Jedi Desaan. At the very least, she doesn't berate an entire gender for some socio-political shit unlike the clowns running Lucasfilm who can't stop their mouths on how "tHe FoRcE iS fEmAlE."
.....what?

Fucking, what does that even mean? So is it even going to be called "Episode X"?
Ma-Rey Sue again? Good luck trying to sell action figures of this plank of wood. In fact, literal planks of wood would sell more than this "bargain-bin Skywalker."

But the witches of Dathomir were just one of many Force-using cultures - not unlike Miralukas, Kel-Dor Baran-Do sages, White Current, Sorcerers of Tund and many other. They did not have any special powers that a trained Jedi or Sith couldn't master.

Daisy's career has been so non existent that she's still clinging to start wars. This is in spite of the fact she was the one catching the most shit out of the entire cast for how awful the ST was, and clearly not being happy with any of it even if she was less vocal than Boyega and Oscar. It's sad at this point.

I don’t care how much money they're offering. Getting type cast as "the star wars person" is not a good idea. Particularly when you don't have anything else in your catalog of any worth.

Funny enough, if Moses was still around, he'd have stoned them to death.
''Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live......''
-Exodus 22:18

Insert ''something something witches are spiritual women who stand up to patriarchal religions'' or some other BS.

The way I see it, General Grievous had the proper response to witches in Star Wars:

There's a female Sith Lord that I absolutely adore. She's Legends continuity now, and only appeared on the PSP/PS2/Wii versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I'm speaking, of course, about Darth Phobos. Born on the ancestral Sith burial world of Korriban, she was a ruthless and cunning woman who slew many of her fellow Sith. She developed a fanatical cult that spread fear and terror across the galaxy, inspiring countless failed assassination attempts against her. She was so reviled that a joint mission between Jedi and Sith was responsible for ultimately killing her. Even so, the horrors she left in her wake were enough to make the Jedi use a holocron of her as part of the Trial of Insight at the Jedi Temple in Coruscant.

I vividly remember being an autistic preteen staying up unfathomably late on school nights with manky earphones popped into my PSP as I was reading the biographies in the character compendiums. That entire autistic sperg above wasn't taken from Wookiepedia either; that's entirely from memory! Fact check me and tell me how accurate I am, if you so desire. Nothing that Disney made in the years since acquiring Star Wars ever evoked such wonder from me, and I loathe the day when they decide to make Darth Phobos canon again and turn her into an edgy girl power icon.

No no no, don't give them more ideas!

The only compensation for me on this franchise on life support is that by exiling the EU, people like me can still appreciate Star Wars of the past before Disney acquired it and leave the canon to Lucasfilm's remaining consoomers and the retarded execs & writers who are too busy promoting their agenda.

>evil twin sets a book on fire
>entire stone fortress somehow catches fire
>generator explodes
>all the witches are suddenly dead
>a catwalk splits in half over a deep pit and the twins are on opposite halves
>the fortress is shaking and rumbling like it is going to collapse even though it is built into a mountain

What the fuck was even supposed to have happened here and how?

It entirely fits in with a critique I mad last week. The writers don't give a shit about any details or reality to the world. The problem is you need to understand details and have a reality to tell a story. This gets far worse in the context of a fantasy setting like Star Wars where you need to understand the larger context. They don't give a shit or are even trying to. They probably just went, "Anakin had no father, lets do that." No thought to the large or wider implications. As for them being evil or not. The actors have said there is no good or bad in Star Wars. So we can gleam that there's no standards. It's just deconstructionist degeneracy.

Genuinely surprised Disney hasn't given up on the IP yet. This shit has to just be bleeding money like a severed artery.
What was the last successful Star Wars product? The one about the Prison? Andor?
Depends on what your definition of successful is. That people actually liked and had positive reception towards? Andor. That actually made a return on investment? Mandalorian, pre season 3.

Oh no, the reason they did that is because the idiots writing this genuinely think black people can't do math. Mike Mearls, who is currently set to shit up some Chaosium products after lying about his productivity and contributions, thinks the same thing. It's extremely common for them to be more bigoted than the fanbase the keep scapegoating to justify why they don't deserved to be all fired and blacklisted, and their unions broken by Pinkerton fists to their temples and boots to their faces.
