I just hope she meets a decent guy and the kids get another shot at having a functional family. I know more than one woman who was able to give her kids that after their father decided he’d rather play hide the Vienna sausage with younger skanks. The kids know their biological father is a child and are grateful to have a real father figure in their lives. Even the kids who are now adults are glad they have a hospitable, non-chaotic and reliable place to go for holidays.

I'm not certain he's lost them forever in the sense that they'll never speak to him again, or that they don't love him anymore. They might even forgive him at some point, but what they'll never do is forget it.

Even if they say they forgive him, and they're able to communicate and even spend time together as adults, they will never forget that he was willing to put that stuff before them, to the point of being neglected. That's something that stings forever, even if you forgive them.

I have a friend with MS who was prescribed it for fatigue; he felt it gave him incredible energy and almost a high. I, on the other hand, was once prescribed it in lieu of adderall, because I wanted to try something different. Did jack. Probably because I was used to (and liked) the intensity of adderall, and, other than for ADD/ concentration issues and, at the time, severe depression*, I did not have a true systemic need for fatigue-relief. I needed focus and hardcore energy for effort, and modafinil did not provide that. *And, tbh, it also did not break through the impacts of alcohol over-indulgence, whereas adderall (and, I assume without knowing, cocaine) will.

Would probably be best to wait until most of them have left the nest. There are a lot of divorced people at my job who have gotten married recently, most of them with others who have adult kids. I think there are men and women both who may take on a group of younger kids, but honestly I think anyone who's indulged in the kind of degeneracy Kayla has should be spending her time making it up to those kids by prioritizing them over everything else, including dating. If her mental problems are treatable she should get help for that first too.

If she does date while the kids are still young it should be low priority and not in view of the kids. Frankly I think it's better to be a very dedicated single mom than to introduce a rotating door of mommy's boyfriend just for the sake of maybe getting them a stepdad.

Thank you for doing this. I realize keeping this list up to date is probably a lot of work, but once the case is over, this list will be incredibly important for when people on the list try to backtrack, act like "they knew all along", "the facts changed", "I couldn't acknowledge evidence on my own until a verdict was issued" or anything among these lines.
