Another way he could have gotten a script is via Shift work sleep disorder (notice the diagnostic criteria does mention a sleep study but it 'may' be required, his coverage may not have asked for one) in which case it would actually have been a somewhat legitimate script since he used to stream at ungodly hours well into the morning, even if his doctor were doubting him all it would take is for him to show them when his shows started on Youtube and claiming he was so busy taking care of his 5 crotch goblins for a script to be doled out.

I just don't think a scenario where he goes for a sleep study and his drunkeness is mistaken for narcolepsy is likely at all, either he is genuinely narcoleptic and had a proper study done, or he's a lying liar who lies and has gotten pills in one of the many ways you can get prescription drugs for more 'off label' uses.

It's not the drunkenness/passing out that would be believed to be narcolepsy. It's that the impact of consistent high drinking and high tolerance and late nights/all-nighters and uppers that can't keep up (whatever, could be coffee could be anything up to coke) that will make people unable to keep their eyes open in the daytime when they are not drinking and not understand* why they literally can't prop up their lids.
