Thursday morning I went to McDonald's and ordered an "egg and cheese bagel."
I know that the "round egg," the McMuffin egg, is made fresh, and the scrambled eggs are made from a powder. Regardless, I decided to trust the the process.
First of all, I liked how my sandwich was wrapped up. If felt unique.
I got a nice, soft bagel. It wasn't a traditional chewy Jewish bagel at all. If you could compare a Vietnamese Bahn Mi's bread to a traditional French baguette, it's much softer. This was comparable to that; it was like the bagel version. Very pillowy.
This sandwich gets at a 10/10 on texture. It's nice, soft, and buttery. It's warm and stays warm. There are two slices of melted American cheese, one on each side. Inbetween the two soft bagel halves is almost one full inch thick of scrambled eggs that span one side of thr sandwich to the other.
It's all topped off with a zesty, creamy sauce. You don't know where the sauce ends and where the cheese begins.
I love eating this thing.
The first time I got it, the teenager working the cash register dropped a free packet of strawberry jam in my bag.
I realized she was trying to tell me something: adding jelly to this sandwich is delicious.
She was correct.
When I was eating it on Thursday morning, I thought to myself that it was good now but I'll actually crave it later. That was true. I really craved it today and loved eating it again.
I really recommend this.
