Elden Ring

I feel dirty, but I started using Mimic Tear instead of switching weapon type; I don't have the carry weight to go heavy shield and facetank and I'm not giving up Greatswords.

I have twice the levels in the Ash buff as I do in the player buff - I can't stop running into those Ash buff materials even though it's Scadutree buffs I want - and that combined with the Mimic copying my high resistances means it is an unstoppable meat shield that draws most of the 3+ attack chain aggro.

It is frightening how effective Mimic Tear still is.

One of the biggest complaints of the main game was the reuse of bosses and these japniggers went and reused even more vanilla bosses.
I don't know if I should consider them based for having the balls to put another Ulcerated Tree Spirit, Wyrm and Drake after so much complaint, or faggots for wasting the player's time with more rehash.
Also, the amount of reused mobs around the DLC world is too much. Seems like they spend all their budgets on the new bosses and didn't have time to make new fodder.

On another note, it seems I got lucky, there are a lot of people having performance issues, but I had none so far, and my PC is over 2 years old by now (I actually bought it for Elden Ring, so it's as old as the vanilla game).

I never would have thought the plot would be that
Miquella is a magic James Charles
wtf is this? theres a 95% chance that a FagHag got in and decided to ruin every plot point for this bizarre ship with a canonically dead character, it honestly took the wind out of my sails to finish the dlc.

Guys just come out and say you think it's too hard.
Honestly, it is just the Souls cycle at this point. "These bosses are too hard I'm not having fun!" Then use an ash or whatever? If you want bosses to just roll over for you then why not just cheese them? Because you want the clout of beating a hard boss the 'right' way.
How big of a difference does collecting the tree fragments make?
A not inconsiderable one.
I've just reinstalled it and am going to give it another go, but the open design is very frustrating
Grace literally points you towards the first dungeon. Regardless, running around and exploring is exactly what you are supposed to do early on. Don't worry too much about it.
wtf is this?
We have known Miquella had the power of homo compulsion since vanilla. It's not anything new. The idea that Miquella compelled Mohg into homolust has been around since forever.

Yes. Took the Poisoned Hand back to base game to see how it does, it has no right being that damn strong, but I'm not complaining.

Only thing I've found to be more fun are the Dryleaf fists. I wanted a kung-fu move set, I got a kung-fu move set.

Now I wonder what other fist weapons there are. I hope there's a sleep fist, sleep is underrated and punching some soldier in the skull until he goes to sleep seems funny to me.
I really, REALLY want some one to mod in new starting class with the new DLC weapons with the rest of the DLC weapon sparkled around. The beast claw/Dryleaf fist would be really fun to level up and play around with through the whole game.

I swear I don't remember people being such massive whiny pussies before. Bloodborne had some hard as fuck bosses and people just tried until they beat them. They didn't cry and rage quiet or review bomb the game.
The only boss I really struggled quite a bit on so far was Messmer, but all I had to do was upgrade my blessings so I could have an easier time beating him. It’s all about adapting. Radahn was really hard pre-nerf as well but I still beat him. These games have a lot of ways to beat bosses. Faggots can’t adapt.

Yeah it is pretty lame that you just fight mostly Messer's soldiers or those shadow niggas. Sure main game wasn't any different, but I had hoped they'd do something different with the DLC. I honestly wouldn't mind them bringing in enemies from before to help the variety, but they didn't even do that for the most part.

I feel dirty
There is no real shame in using it. It is a part of the game and it is a game that doesn't even register you attempting anything else. I think they started and stopped that with Dark Souls 2? There were specific rewards for different challenges and also small rewards like Alonne performing a sudoku if you took no damage. No other games really recognized player skill in the same way to my knowledge.

Faggots can’t adapt.
DLC does shit out materials readily and you can upgrade a lot of weapons, but honestly I do understand the complaint of how bosses are designed now. Especially if it's people coming from older games. Demons Souls and DS1 you couldn't even respec so you had to make do with what you have. DS2 you could respec but it was costly and a good weapon still could carry you through the game and same thing with DS3. I don't think as many people played Sekiro and Bloodborne in comparison. ER is more structured like Dark Souls safe for some gimmicks from other games. In ER your performance mostly depends on Ashes than a weapon, as I understand. One good ash of war could carry you through the entire experience from what I've seen. DLC works a tiny bit different where some encounters can be harder and have much more visual noise than any other game. Honestly I played this DLC liquired up and my intoxicated brain couldn't process most shit happening sometimes. Thankfully I managed to just Lion Claw all my problem away.

I've hated that shit throughout elden ring and it's at its worst here
I would love to see someone trying to explain what you are supposed to do in this situation without a shield. And even with a shield, it's bollocks because you can't block 100% of holy damage and you need a stamina of 4000 to tank all the combo.

They obviously want players to take damage. The attack is essentially unavoidable and it was by design. Just like Malenia's waterfowl dance that you can only evade using a cheesy unintended straffing.

You can run back right away but most of these bosses also like to do this thing where they run much faster or teleport toward you right away, so by the time you get to a safe distance oops you're already gonna get the next anime combo
I still managed to beat the DLC but god damn from needs to get off the white powder lol

Slap prayerful strike on his weapon and watch him bonkheal through 90% of the game.

The Radhan fight is an embarrassment. It's impossible to see anything that's happening, it's just a shitload of particle effects and gay anime shit.

My assumption is that it’s troubled dev cycle. The Barbarians of the Badlands wasn’t a fake leak and got canceled for whatever reason. This is also the last game where FromSoft has Bandai-Namco as a publisher so my assumption this was literally just a 6 month rushed development where they reused scraps from the cancelled DLC padded out with old content and the new bosses were just modified old bosses with one or two being unique.

I’m like 80% sure the Lion Dancer was from the Badlands DLC.

The entire thing smells like Dark Souls 3 where Sullavhan and the Soul of Cinder were supposed to be the Twin Princes reincarnated after an eclipse. The Nameless King was a Lord of Cinder and what not.

What you are saying doesn't make sense. This DLC is fucking shit but it's not a product of laziness, to the contrary. The amount of time spent on these animations must have been enormous. The gameplay is garbage because I don't think they have good boss fight designers left on this company, or they are making games exclusively for Twitch retards who beat these games at lv1 and =0 weapons.

Dancing Lion and now Commader Gaius?
It feels like Tranimura is trying his best to make the most retarded spergboss possible.
The timing to dodge the charge attack on Gaius seems so fucking precise it feels random. I really don't get how anyone could find this shit enjoyable.

I hope their are working on Sekiro 2, because that shit was almost perfect when I comes to boss fights. I simply cannot understand how the same company goes from making Sword Saint, Father and Monke, to the shit in Elden Ring.

What a beautiful weekend this has been.
the sun has been shining, bees humming and birds chirping.
Children laughing away with their friends and deep in the background the faint muffled cries of cope for a 62% rated fromsoft shitter classic lmao
I can’t believe it’s almost Monday already, I wanted it to never end.
