*looks over Greg's posts; finds out Greg has been banned over his anti-Charity stance and making statements one would not expect from someone who had to put up with Tommy Wiseau for an eighth of a century and would presumably have a higher tolerance for the insane shit people like Chris pulls.*

Ah. I see.

God I hope they convince Christopher Walken to star as Tommy.

Daniel Day Lewis. No other way.

Imagine the kind of things you'd need to do to become Tommy Wiseau as a method actor.

So, I watched The Room for the first time last night with Null. I was very entertained by the whole experience. People at the theater had memorized the movie and brought spoons roses and footballs to toss around during certain scenes. There were just so many things wrong with the movie it was unbelievable.

You know, I'm looking forward to seeing The Disaster Artist. Loved the book and I've always been more entertained by the behind the scenes drama than The Room itself.

Randall Munroe knows the truth about The Room:

A little bump there.
So I'm probably kinda late here, but I read a Reddit sleuth deducing that Tommy Wiseau is from Poland. Interesting stuff there (like info about his aunt and uncle), and I've always suspected it.
Why? It's been said that he hails from somewhere in Eastern Europe, and Tommy himself said that his alias initials are the same as of his real name. Polish language is the only one besides English, German and Dutch (might have missed some there - but Polish is the only language fitting the region) that uses the letter W. And according to the finds, his real last name is actually Wieczor.
Then there's his accent. I knew it sounded familiar, and it matches the way many Polish speakers speak English. So why hasn't anyone been able to pinpoint it? No one has any flipping idea how the Polish accent sounds like when speaking English. People would probably assume it's something similar to Russian, but our accents sound nothing alike. The thing about us is just that stereotypes about us have always been non-descript - like every group out there in America has its own unique stereotypes about them, but all we got at most was something generic like we're just dumb. So I find it pretty funny now, if Tommy was German or Russian people would've been able to tell that immediately by his accent because everyone knows what those sound like.
So yeah, there's the trivia for all of you. :story:

The Room is probably my favorite thing ever. Since its introduction into my life I've shown it to every girlfriend, and me and my friends watch it on my birthday every year for the last 3 years. @DeagleBoipussy420 can confirm this as my irl friend. I think I jizzed when The Disaster Artist was announced and I've read it twice so far.

I've seen and heard a lot about The Room but have yet to watch it. My roommate, ironically her name is Lisa, wants to watch it once I score a copy. Thus my quest to score a copy of The Room has begun. I'll be back. Thanks to Ms. darkhorse816 for the thread.
