The Siege mold and it’s offshoots makes him look squat and it’s due to his compressed midsection and small head.

Actually Megatron's head and midsection in the siege mold and it's offshoots are bigger than other figures in the same size class by a ridiculous amount. Seriously, put him next to Optimus. The issue is he's ACTUALLY SQUAT. He doesn't just look it! The figure's literally slightly shorter than optimus. Also has no wrist swivel/cheap ankles in every variant of the siege mold. That and the earthrise version does away with a smooth alt mode transition/has weird yellowing plastic. I still like it though, the siege one I mean lmao.

And they never make him white (unless it’s that Devastation-inspired repaint) they do the unpainted grey. White, light grey or silver, that shit they’ve used since TR for Megs has got to stop.

Unless they're literally gonna start making smaller versions of figures as actionmaster homages which would be kinda cool.

Siege Megatron was outdated at release, crap articulation, joints that revert to the certain positions, heavy backpack, hollow feet, no wrist articulation and a lot of plastic wasted on a doofy sword. I’m really considering Super7 G2 Megs both because of the comic accessories and because I just want a Megatron with presence, there’s an empty spot on the Decepticon shelf and it’s been empty for the entirety of my collecting days.

Seriously though the optimus and megatron 2 pack thing being "sdcc PREORDER" exclusive is insane to me because that 2 pack is clearly part of the amazon pre-war line thing they did down to having the same packaging and naming scheme as the rest of them. I don't think so, but they retooled reflector's torso for xaaron to make him, so he's got a megatron torso.

I watched diamonbolt. I used to be fan until i got bored. For what it is, it's pretty informative for a beginner but holy shit is hasbro incompetent. Not just that japs make better version of their toys, but also they keep making 50 g1 toy sets and leave almost every other series in the dust. I don't need million paints of cliffjumper just with different colour. Also letting some toys such as ratchet be exclusive to some shitty amerimutt store that mutts themselves barely visit is peak retardation

The Swoops I ordered came in just before my birthday. Going to have to give them a cleaning and after that I can paint two them up. Though I do need to pick up some new markers for some finishing touches. Son loves the fact that the Dinobots are all finished now. Just have to print off some new weapons for them.

By the way, not sure if it'll be a problem for some people, but one of the shoulders on the dual insecticon pack is a bit floopy. Sometime tonight I'll have to see about fixing it. Party Wagons have been alright to mess around with. Much larger than I thought they would be.

Chris McFeely is one of the best. Don't know if he's done any dumb shit in the past (as far as i know, he hasn't) but his videos are great. Stupid quips or jokes on wiki images never really bothered me too much, it's the OTHER baggage that gets lumped in by the people doing that once they get sucked into the eternal current year purity spiral. Shit like editing pages to say a character is "nonbinary" because characters call them "it" which is a complete distortion and blatant intentional misunderstanding of the " characters viewing a severely malformed being and refusing to even acknowledge them as the same species" is what pisses me off. That, or changing a page on a character to say they're ACTUALLY female or trans or whatever due to like a one off statement by some writer that didn't even make the character said in some interview once, you know shit that'd be a rando little trivia blurb otherwise.


What kinda genuinely peeves me off about Transformers youtube guys the last few years is a lot of them that had their own unique stuff going on that set them apart from others (and still do to some extent) kinda blatantly sanitized themselves to get more free shit or clout in the same vein as most political youtube grift type shit. You can see what I'm talking about when they start calling some bizarrely tame stuff being "weird and creepy". I still watch these guys and like their stuff but when you do shit like isolate a statue clearly implying the ground's shaking due to devastator ripping open a wall is some kinda sexist/sexual thing because a female character fell over and thus "needs rescuing" or some shit that's gonna make me go "what the fuck are you thinking man that building is fucking collapsing people are gonna fall over space robot man or woman".

Untied to earlier points, but still important and kinda related; The reddest of red flags in general with Youtube people, transformers or not, is when they start treating the pre-lockdown world as if it's the same as 1920s or earlier. As in either just time wise, or America race/sex relations wise. 1990s-2000s stuff being treated like it's some kind of horrible thing that needs to be forgotten or "moved on from". Figure review channels aren't without their own drama, be it shit like the infighting that led to false pedo accusations over out of context skype call jokes Jim covered back when it happened, or the bizzare culture around "stolen figures". Not actual STOLEN figures as in people stealing each others figures, mind you, but like factory samples leaking out to the general populace instead of getting fucking dumpstered. I view the warring of the people that acquire those just as fucking horrible and stupid as the people who get free copies of figures months before release from the company themselves but apperently the narrative is the factory sample guys are worse than the "pre-release" guys. Gets me fucking angry knowing that a lot of the figures that have come out the last decade have just been like squatted on in a warehouse for months with their release dates being the most convenient inconvenient spots and then they never restock the shit people actually want, or bar it behind some one time exclusive package deal. People seem to be getting sick of it because I've noticed some figures that manage to restock never selling out after they do.

Also if it werent for factory leaks I wouldn't have found that clear rhinox that was a neat test shot sample thing but apperently the reviewer youtube guys are OK with factory leaks when it's stuff like that, ESPECIALLY when they buy one off an ebay seller, because it has some kind of "value" to "speculate" (squat on for a few months to 2 years then scalp for 1000s on ebay you know their game by now).

I just realized I forgot to bring up actual cool transformers review shit. I sometimes find channels like this guy ,as weirdly rare in the algorithm as they are, where they just bang out like a review of SEVERAL figures they either recently got or just have owned for some nebulous amount of time, and it's under the 10 minute mark a good chunk of the time which is always a bonus.
