Diseased Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

Percy Jackson is not just a poor man's Harry Potter, it's a beggar man's Harry Potter.

The only people that read those books are retarded Tumblrinas afflicted with Rowling Derangement Syndrome who would like to read Harry Potter, but who read Percy Jackson instead because of how progressive and inclusive and tranny-friendly Tumblr said it was, enjoying the series in much the same way that a Shelbyville man might enjoy his lemon tree.

The PJ series really is inferior to HP in every way. The biggest draw for both series is the escapism, and the PJ 'verse is a crapsack world in which free will is an illusion.
Pretty big ratioing, I actually don't like Rowling that much overall and think she's gotten way too online and opens herself to this kind of retarded bickering that does her and the movement she supports no favours.

Either way, Kaiserneko is the worst part of the DBZA and none of those guys really know what to do after riding the wave of being kind of funny on a youtube series a decade ago.
It's shocking to see just how far they've fallen. I have to wonder whether Woke really is a mind virus.

Hell, it started right with the second series where one of the major characters is gay for Percy. It doesn't even really add much to the plot if I remember, though it's been quite some time since I read the books. I do remember him also yelling at the fans about Annabeth being blackwashed. It's kind of a shame, really, I had been tempted to read his new series after the Roman stuff, but now I just don't want to.
Hades' son being a faggot was supposed to explain why he acted like an antisocial emo. Now personally I think second series was still tolerable (although seeds have been planted and the plot quality has noticeably dropped, especially in the last book).

Riordan meltdown in regards to Annabeth being a nigger was doubly funny because some ten years earlier he had publicly complained that they changed her haird color in the first movie from blond to brown and how big of a problem it was. But changing her into a nigger was apparently A-OK.

People who still read Riordan are definitely the same ones that cry and piss at Rowling being heckin nazi transphobe. They only ever cared about authors validating their views and are not about any principles that book writers should stay apolitical (because being apolitical makes you literally Hitler).

I still have relatively good memory in regards of faggy woke crap that was added in later Percy Jackson series (among other things author has removed spirit animal joke made by one of the hippie characters because it offended some native americans on twitter or something) but listing it all would take a while and this is Rowling thread.

This might just be my own biased opinion here, but as a nerdy kid who grew up reading about the various ancient histories, gods, and monsters of the world (and playing a lot of Age of Mythology), I'm so fucking over Greek mythology. It's boring to me now. I feel like it's so played out, because so much of the Western canon references it.

The characters of the Greek gods and all the big players are already pretty well-established, so really, even the world-building isn't very imaginative or clever. (P)Rick Riordin is just playing around in someone else's sandbox.

Meanwhile, J.K. Rowling essentially built her entire world from her own imagination.

I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but I would like you to list all the retarded and gay shit in the Percy Jackson books. :)

That's why you should always main the Norse in Age of Mythology.

To return to sort of the topic Percy Jackson had 2 movies which did not garner a following Rowling build HP into an empire. Percy Jackson guy can't even look at Rowlings shadow.

Ah, a man of culture.

Alright, here's what I can recall. This is mostly from Apollo Trials and Magnus Chase where Riordan dropped any attempts at being subtle (I've read first two books of both of these series but they were so gay I sold these off later):

- Apollo turned human has an inner monologue which is very on the nose about how gay marriage and love is valid and shiet after witnessing one of his sons he had with a man make out with Nico the son of Hades. It is written in a way that makes this read like he is lecturing the reader directly. (Apollo Trials, book 1)
- Two immortal followers of Artemis decide to sacrifice their longevity to raise an orphan girl as two lesbian moms (Apollo Trials, book 2)
- Jason, son of Jupiter and one of the main characters from previous series is introduced together with his girlfriend Piper daughter of Aphrodite, wanting to help Apollo. He consequently gets dumped by his girlfriend later in the story and gets killed in ridiculous way by the big bad guy. His ex-girlfriend later turns lesbian at the end of the series.
- Magnus Chase talks to one guy how a hawaian girl doll in his vehicle is cultural appropriation (Magnus Chase, book 1)
- Magnus reminisces about his hippy mother making jokes about having spirit animals because of their love of nature. This got removed in later book editions because it triggered tumblr (Magnus Chase, book 1)
- One of the main characters of Magnus Chase series is a valkyrie daughter of Loki who is also a muslim hijabi
- The aforementioned valkyrie talks about how she doesn't like to take her hijab off, how she has arranged betrothal to a cousin but she loves him, she stops during the middle of the mission to pray on a rug to Allah and also talks about how norse gods existing doesn't shake her faith in Islam because they are just minor gods and Allah made them (Magnus Chase, book 2)
- Another scene in the book has her ask Magnus for help to make her fiance start believing in supernatural. (Magnus Chase, book 2)
- Second book introduces a tranny shapeshifter, who's mother is Loki, he got killed and brought to valhalla where other warriors praised him as 'one of the good ones' after reviewing the footage where he died which pissed him off a lot. Later Magnus confronts him because he is confused about his gender (he switched back and forth) to which the tranny gave a rant about being 'transexual and genderfluid. You can educate yourself on the matter'. Magnus then has inner monologue about being surprised but not really because as a homeless man he met a lot of queer folk who got thrown out from their homes by their parents. The Tranny also at one point says that xe changed their gender right now, despite looking the same. (Magnus Chase, book 2)
- Magnus Chase later comes to conclusion that he is pansexual and attracted to the tranny.
- This is relatively mild in comparison but there's a mute elf in Magnus Chase books that uses sign language. Another norse god later gets introduced to also use sign language, talking with him how stupid the other non-mute gods are.
- This apparently wasn't written by Riordan but he gave a stamp of approval to some side book that stated that the demi-hero camp got renovated with gender neutral bathrooms.

Ah yes. The author who WISHES™️ he had Rowling's level of cred.

No, seriously. He tried to capitalize on when this entire TERF shit started by wagging his finger at Rowling.

"Unlike JoANNE, I'm much more open minded about you cash-I mean, people. So please, buy my book more so that I can finally be better than this bitch."

This all just sort of reminded me of a rather funny post I recently saw on tumblr, hilariously calling out Twitter of all places as if tumblr wasn't the actual ground zero for that kind of bullshit.
The notes on the post are even funnier with people excusing they/them pronouns in Our Flag Means Death and crying about how TERFs enjoyed this post.

All of the rest of this stuff is pretty fucking funny, but this takes the cake because if she's a serious, practicing Muslim then this position is comically incompatible with Islam in almost every interpretation, since its extremely clear in Islam that there is only one god, Allah, and every claim to the contrary is a total lie that at best represents either charlatans or demons. There's no 'minor gods', there's only Allah and pledging any kind of allegiance to a pagan faith like old Norse religion is absolutely forbidden from being considered an actual Muslim. This character would be the height of heresy within Islam, regardless of wearing a hijab.

As a side thing, its actually quite noticeable how Vikings and Norse Mythology in particular has been the subject of modern interpretations to try and make them hyper 'woke', you see this to varying degrees in things like Thor, God of War, Assassin's Creed, and that TV show Vikings where basically they get recast as being super progressive with a diverse assortment of genders, sexualities and races and suspiciously 21st century outlooks for a 9th century culture. Its a bit hard to figure why this is but I have a few theories, first of all everybody's kind of attracted towards the imagine of Vikings being big badasses with axes and tattoos sailing the world doing what they want, even progressive people basically completely ignore all of the extremely well attested violence, rape, slavery and conquest (including literal colonialism) because the mythos is all too appealing, so they tend to fixate on some of the studies and papers that suggest that Vikings had some elements kind of progressive like a potentially greater role of women in their society compared to Christian Europe (although this is vastly overstated, and the whole idea of things like Shieldmaidens is probably mostly just fictionalized and doesn't represent some kind of equal role for women in Viking society) or the fact that they were long distance traders who would have had contacts all the way down to the Muslim world or the Byzantine empire, which feeds into the idea that the Vikings were progressive and open minded compared to the rest of Europe, even though their interactions with these people were also often very violent and they were perceived to be barbaric by lots of Greeks and Muslims. Then you have Loki which this whole thing where the god has been completely mangled into some kind of misunderstood gender queer softboi even though this is based on extremely flimsy stuff in the actual myths like the Sleipnir situation, and when you actually read them Loki is mostly just a weaselly little prick who everyone hates because of his increasingly destructive antics who ends the world with his crap.

But the big elephant in the room that probably helps account for why Norse and the closely related Germanic mythology and history specifically has become such a focus to make more 'woke', is probably because of the associations it tends to have with actual, genuine white supremacists up to and including literal Nazis who are preoccupied with using a lot of the iconography and symbolism as well as the associations of masculinity, white racial purity and violence that they see in it. I think that means if a good progressive person wants to use something relating to Norse mythology as a result they get really concerned with not being seen to give any backing to the racist and nationalist undercurrent that's followed these traditions for a couple of centuries now, so that's how you end up with Valkyries being Muslim Hijabi women in something like this so they can indicate they're deffo not racist and are instead reclaiming back this problematic tradition.

Anyway, there's not many genuinely good uses of Viking mythology or history in the modern day, but the best that I would recommend is probably the Northman which takes a much more frank look at the violence, slavery and sexual exploitation that came with that kind of honour obsessed society.

There were actually certain verses in the Quran where Muhammad praised the three pagan Meccan goddesses: al-Lāt, al-'Uzzá, and Manāt as some minor gods in order to get the backing of pagan meccans, only to later backtrack and claim that actually he was tricked by Satan and retracted this completely which pissed meccans off. This incident is known as 'Satanic Verses' and was accepted as true until many centuries later muslim scholars decided that it makes their prophet looks bad. Salman Rushdie even wrote a book by this title (it was borderline unrelated to the actual Satanic Verses) which led to Ayatollah issuing a Fatwah against him which is still on to this day nearly forty year later.

Now, I agree that vast majority of muslims would still get pissed off by this but in theory there is some argument to be made by Riordan (although I doubt he is aware of it and it would likely end in him getting stabbed anyway).

That's true, but the nature of the Satanic Verses is the idea that Muhammed was mislead by Satan, or that the whole thing never happened to begin with, like the early Muslim commentators talking about this are adamant that he was mislead by Satan to state a falsehood and encourage Polytheism when God has to set him straight. Basically this character in the Riordan novel would be stating that she is going along with the devil that tricked Muhammed himself and believing what the devil says that there are minor gods that exist alongside Allah, I can't think of any school of thought within in Islam that would not consider this some of the grossest possible heresy.

Wow, this actually makes me pretty disappointed and really shocked. It's been a while since I read any of the books, but in the first series I really can't recall any of this sort of weird shit. No fags or trannies or anything remotely like this. Even the gay kid in the second series wasn't exactly front-and-center, the only other thing I can recall is the fag's sister being a strong independent warrior woman that hates men...but she also died, so it sorta evened out for me. It's insane how far an author can fall in about a decade. I actually enjoyed Percy Jackson a lot more than Harry Potter and was a big book series for me as a kid. Such a damn shame how this shit can just infect people like a virus.

Since we've had a nice long spell enjoying JK a friendly reminder that tomorrow she, like many others in the country, will be coping and seething because she sure as shit does not want a Labour government in.

I bear her minimal ill will but I know some following this thread do so I offer this as a cheery point. Mostly because my coping and seething will make hers look like a mature adult shedding a single tear while I scream and tantrum like a toddler.

I don't think that Rowling is particularly opposed to a Starmer government since they've shifted pretty hard on trans issues but she'll absolutely be retweeting everything along the lines of 'Labour has failed women in the last 5 years', like hasn't Starmer actually offered to meet her in person?

If Rowling is buying the "shift" then she is as foolish as her detractors say.

Stamer has offered to meet her in person, her response was to present a long list of women's rights organisations he needs to meet with first to which Kier's response was largely the same as what happens to any of his MPs getting death threats about saying similar things to those groups. He'll totally look into it any day now.

There's so much seething on Tumblr right now. I can't be bothered to cap it all but this one sums up the general feeling:

These people are fucking retarded and not in a funny "ha ha" way, but more in a "maybe eugenics is a good idea" kind of way
So battling allegations of sexual assault are now as bad as denying someone's gender identity that differs from their associated sex? What a world we live in now.

I keep seeing this - usually alongside overcomplicated, completely absurdist takes on how this is actually all a fake conspiracy to bring down British trans activists by connecting the dots between Gaiman and David "I hope people who disagree with my politics die and since I have an army of fans this is probably incitement to murder you, but I'm on the right side of history so it's okay for me to say this kind of thing!" Tennant and pro-trans politicians. (#believeallwomen except, as per usual, politically inconvenient ones!)

It's frankly really disgusting even for trans activists to compare being called out for raping multiple young women (young enough to be your daughters!) to what amounts to a political disagreement. They really have absolutely no standards for decency. Then again, a lot of them probably think being raped by Neil Gaiman would be the best thing that could ever happen to them - think of the validation! Sickening.
