Agreed. He was the least interesting thing about his show, which is where he made a huge mistake declaring himself a personality streamer. He was far more coherent and focused before that. He was at his best when he had guests on. In hindsight, that was because he was always a non-practicing lawyer and needed others to give him actual law opinions to bounce off of.

The Dax skinwalking only seems to have happened after The Worst Day. I recall him starting to throw in his painfully unfunny, low effort sex jokes near the end of Johnny Depp. It's a big part of why I stopped tuning in. Minnesota is a bad state for taxes. Most people of a certain age and a certain amount of money will end up living (in theory) just about half the year outside the state in a place (Florida, Texas, etc) where they are protected from the taxes (and the weather).

Being in the state for over 183 days (or any part of a day) puts you under the income tax. But beyond just the 183-day rule, there is additionally a very complicated and somewhat unadvertised points system by which you can also end up owing the income tax. If, for example, you vote in minnesota or get an in-state fishing license in minnesota or you declare yourself to be a member of a church in minnesota (but not elsewhere), if you do all your banking in minnesota institutions, if you have a drivers license in minnesota and on and on and on. The system is such that if they want to get you with the state income tax, they will get you with the income tax.

There are also alot of good bankruptcy and real estate protections in a state like Florida that especially can make owning an expensive house attractive.

I believe Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services (KCHHS) requested the hair test. It is listed in the CHIPS leak under Findings of Fact 16(e). The timeline suggests to me that testing was done at the request of KCHHS / CPS, not law enforcement at the jail.

My impression is that, since it isn't illegal to take drugs, the police have no direct reason to test you. However, drugs et. al. are enough to keep your kids from you.

Your assumption is correct. It's the "manosphere" way of podcasting, which Nick seems to belong fully now.
