the funniest thing about all of this is that fgc autists love to customize their sticks. so much so that almost every manufacturer, quanba included, makes them user-friendly and easy to disassemble and reassemble. it was a huge marketing thing on my stick, they had it written on the box. Phil proving once again that he will find a way to fuck up even the simplest of tasks.

also can't wait for the coping on the Phil's Day Ahwf segment about being featured again. just another stupid detractor meme guys, this stick is great and there's nothing wrong with it.

I haven't checked dsp in years, because it's the same 24 hours on am endless loop. How is it that he is still only minutes away from being completely broke?
His entire brand is based on a carefully maintained Schroedinger's cat style situation where he's both, running a thriving (meaningful!) business AND on the brink of homelessness at the same time.

So a company is run by morons for not making their product with other companies products in mind? Am I hearing this right?
Arcade sticks are not like hand held controllers in this regard. It's not a matter of Xbox or PS5, that's just a PCB that interacts via USB. With arcade sticks you are absolutely able and expected to be able to swap out that PCB for something else for another console or universal or whatever you want. Same for buttons and the stick and everything else in it. It's 100% expected.

Some autists mod an Qanba Obsidian into abominations like this:

When Phil gets a new stick and he is equally as shit at SF6 as he was with the old detractor stick will be glorious.
You think that, but Phil will just blame someone or something else. "It's the Cannon bros fault! It's the PS5's fault! I need to be on PC! The Ken is using modern controls! I'm only fighting high tiers! Fucking Cammys! Pattern players that can't play a fighting game! My inputs dropped!"
Remember, Phil never does anything wrong and always does everything correct.

Considering that the Seatle minimum wage at a 8 hour workday would net him more then his demanded 100$ a day he still clings hard to play video games for a living. And to add to that his non videogame streams are netting him not much either
Imagine Phil at a job now though. At one point years ago he could've been a regular bitter office drone, but he's become totally neurotic and deranged from how normal people behave. It would probably take many months of adjustment for him to get accustomed to interfacing with society like a normal person again.

Plus I'm sure that to some extent it tickles Philburt's ego that he's considered a successful streamer. He probably gets a great deal of glee from every time he hears he outlived another one. If he got a regular job he wouldn't be DSP the immortal pigroach anymore, he'd just be Phil Burnell, that weird low paid guy with no friends who always eats lunch alone.
It's sort of like Wings said about himself: after you spend so long streaming you don't feel like you belong out among normal people anymore.

This is the life Philburt's trapped in now, a droopy middle aged man playing videogames he hates for tards on the internet. Not a life to be envious of for sure.

I wasnt saying that hes stupid for trying to change parts. But Him not checking how the sticks were different and then getting mad and calling the manufacturers morons is the usual MO we all expect for Phil. Also the OMNI rocks

Phil's special magical ability, other than his ability to survive literally anything, is to somehow get bugged copies of every single game and bugged controllers to go with them. He did nothing wrong, he did everything correct, and he's overall one of the best gamers in the country

Never forget the time Machinima offered to get him a gig doing fighting game commentary, and his reaction was near-offended confusion as to why they would even entertain the thought of him doing anything but playing games

This clown used a Swiss army knife for a tool, used his lap for a table while sitting next to a desk, and still didn't manage to finish what he set out to do. It's incredible to watch.

With how much he complains about lag, dropped inputs, etc I wonder if he has his TV on a setting that causes input lag in favor of picture quality. Not making excuses for him or anything, but I do wonder how someone can consistently fail in the same ways for so long with little to no deviation.

I guarantee that whatever settings were present on his TV when he first switched it on is what it has right now. Phil is firmly in the camp of “if it doesn’t work flawlessly with no user input other than plugging it in, it’s shit and the company fucked me”. He refuses to tweak anything almost from a position of morality.
