Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

So, I gotta ask everyone; does anyone even play Ubi's games these days? I mean, they've made some decent games over the years, but with all of the shit the studio's pulled, I'm frankly a bit hesitant to show any kind of support for them.
I sometimes go back to play Trials...

You prompted me to look up recent Ubi games and I discovered they released a sequel to "Valient Hearts" in March. I may give that a try, though reviews say it's way too short and of course it requires Uplay... it's a single player 2D puzzle adventure game. I'm going to try pirate it for that reason, fuck Uplay.

My old stuff from them on occasion? Sure.

I wouldn’t touch Vikings, or whatever their COD competitor is for example. I genuinely got second hand embarrassment when I would see screenshots of their modern stuff. Thankfully I don’t see that too much anymore.

I still play Division 2 sometimes, but that game is ~5 years old. I'll also likely be stopping in the next few months as it's currently a giant shitshow and I'm not super interested in their shitty future plans for the seasons revamp.

That was the last game I bought from Ubi, and the only thing I might be vaguely interested in in the near future is Star Wars Outlaws, assuming Massive don't fuck it up, which I'm kinda expecting them to.

Huh, Valiant Hearts; that was one of my favorite games back in the day, actually. Might give that sequel a shot; granted, knowing how UbiWoke love to shit all over anything, I'm a bit... hesitant.

I would have played The Division: Heartland and I'll be honest will probably play The Division 3 when it comes out.

XDefieant was okay but the pace to unlock new weapons was way to slow.

The Division games are/were fun; I have the most amount of hours I've ever played in Div 1 and 2 combined, which says something. Too bad Div 2's story is... REALLY bad at this point. Also, haven't played Div 1 in quite a while; is it still decent?

Also, has anyone here played Far Cry: New Dawn? I ran a bit of it a while back, found it to be a bit of fun, and it's cheap on the PS+ store right now; anyone have any thoughts?

I probably gonna finish breakpoint at some point since I already bought it years ago, but that's probably it.

but yeah, up to a few years ago ubisoft was solid enough where I still could recommend some games (like breakpoint if you like wildlands, now that's it's patched etc), but these days I really wanna see them burn. seems I didn't hit the indifference stage yet.

I rather start buying games on the epic store than support nigger devs under a nigger publisher. rate me MATI.

I still play The Division 2. I don't give a shit about the story (none of the characters are interesting) but the gameplay loop is fine.

not necessarily free, but if you have netflix, it comes with the service if you play on a phone.

now and then i play some of their titles, old or new. i tried out splinter cell chaos theory and ac2 a while ago, that trial period for mirage though it was too fucking short, wd2 and wildlands are fun, but i havent played their games too recently, but that's just because of a different issue with me not feeling like playing games these days

What you didn't like "Somehow Palpatine Keener has returned"? Or the complete 180 for Kelso's entire personality? Or the 360 for Faye Lau's?

It's still fun to go back and play every now and then. Only real change is the Global Events have run out, and everyone at Massive is too retarded busy on Division 2, to go back and turn them on again.

There's a story for The Division 2?
You know...it really was fine when it came out. Basically take back DC and rebuilding it with the added flair of getting logs of the heart of the political system going to shit cause of the Dollar Flu. Fighting through and near all the federal moments and museums was pretty fun.

It was only after the orginal dev left to work on the Star Wars, the B team was brought on to be maintenance, and then told they had to continue the whole thing did it all go to "Oh look, that person we trusted for the last 3 years betrayed us....again....and the ghost of Keaner keeps corrupting people?".

considering they couldn't even figure out to automate the weekly shit while it was still their main game, I'm not surprised...

I might hop back on that game one day, then. Probably should try and find a way to finish it up entirely; never did get the Stolen Signal mission finished, for instance.

If only I could get lucky finding complete gear sets.

or the new characters like Wally the obese black woman hacker

The only good thing the new studio did was fixing the crash-to-desktop that Massive never gave a shit about.

As autistic as it may sound, Wally is what really ruined the overarching story for me. Seriously, it's a post-apocalyptic setting that diverged in the winter of 2017, but we end up getting this landwhale girlboss character that's basically just a walking "current year" caricature. Outside of blatant pandering, I can't even really think of why the devs shoved her in; everything she's done could have been done by one of the pre-existing characters in the setting, and she doesn't really contribute anything to the overall plot.

Also, how the hell is she a landwhale? It's a post-apocalyptic setting where damn near everyone else is working on farms and such; did this chick just sit on her ass all day hording food? I mean, she's a blatant pandering character, but it's still rather noticeable.
