Bad Plastic Surgery - all the pics

Give it 10 or 20 years and every housewife and middle aged middle manager will have fillers and botox, it'll be as pedestrian as a haircut.
It already basically is. I don't think you realise just how common it is for women to get these sorts of minor procedures (also ones like microneedling, laser dermabrasion etc) past about thirty years old. It's creeping younger, but the trend is already well established.

And no "but men prefer natural women" whining either, it's just not true. Men say the same thing about makeup, "we prefer when women don't do it, so you're actually only doing it for yourselves", but if you go to work without any the men will gossip about how haggard you look the second you leave the room. It's about confidence, if you look good you feel confident and if you feel confident you're happier.

Teenagers are getting cosmetic procedures because they want to look good now.

funnily enough they dont even look good now. all of these plastic surgery trends tend to make women look horrible.

Gay but her decline makes me genuinely sad.
Outing myself but grew up watching her show and movies because we’re roughly the same age, she was absolutely gorgeous and charming and witty and charismatic.

Will admit I was jealous of her as a young teen, and may have asked for her hairstyle and color at some point.

She’s trying to become a nail tech but she failed her boards on her first try!
Have no idea how that’s possible, there’s some brain dead nail techs and cosmetologists out there but they’re licensed.
She went from memorizing full scripts along with choreography in Hairspray, to not retaining basic ass hygiene and service procedures.

Thanks Dan Schneider.

i grew up watching her on nickelodeon and i was, without hyperbole, shocked at those images posted of her. this is probably the first time ive seen her in 10 years. jesus it is bad.

Filler and Botox are gonna become more and more normalized and cheaper as time goes on, we're just at that awkward stage between it being only for the wealthy, being horrible butchery like silicone fillers, and it being for everyone but overdone and obvious.
Back when synthetic hair colours were becoming a thing they looked like you dunked your head in bootblack or if done incorrectly you'd be bald from the bleach. Hair plugs just 20 years ago were multiple grafts in one hole and it looked like you'd been done with a woollen thread and a crochet hook. Lip Fillers in the 90s were silicone and caused it to look like you had porridge in your lips or it was an implant that scarred into place. Teeth whitening used to cost a serious money and make your teeth so brittle you couldn't eat a piece of stale bread, now it's done at home.

Give it 10 or 20 years and every housewife and middle aged middle manager will have fillers and botox, it'll be as pedestrian as a haircut.

already are quite common, and unless the economy goes into the dumps it will be even more common. very unfortunate. really hate these trends and wish women would actually be an individual rather than bughvie and just say no to them.

Men do prefer women they think are natural, it's just that straight men are absolutely clueless about tweakments and make-up. Men like big tits but they've no idea if someone actually has big tits or is wearing chicken cutlets, doesn't change what they know they like. Haggard is also relative, again the straight men are clueless and think that the actually no make-up look is a something wrong look, and a clean girl make-up is no make-up look. Especially if they never see women doing their make-up.
Don't use faggots irl or in media as a measuring stick for what men know, some are just as clueless and some can clock a tinted moisturiser from a change in air pressure.

Men prefer natural, but not if "natural" involves any imperfections.

People generally perceive women not wearing make up or ageing naturally as tired, ill, or having something wrong with them, rather than just not being 20-something supermodels.

I am going to outlaw the removal of women's noses. I've had enough of this beak-shaming for ten lifetimes. Some faces are not made to have a button/pixie nose, and a big nose can be a very beautiful, striking feature.
I agree with this, strong noses can be very attractive. Noses with bumps match the forehead shape and look strange without them.

I hate that bumps are automatically treated as a problem.

Jessica Simpson's been looking different.

In her Instagram she uses filters so much I can't even recognize her in some pictures.

I know she's overfilled her lips and on Ozempic. And done some other things to her face I can't quite identify.
Here's her in her prime for comparison.

It's natural ageing combined with botox and absurd amounts of lip filler. Lip filler should be banned and doesn't look good on anyone.

Normal changes of middle age:
  • She has naturally lost the fat around her eye socket, which is what makes middle aged women appear "tired".
  • The outside third of her eyebrows have drooped
  • She has lost fat and collagen in her whole face, giving rise to the beginnings of naso-labial lines
  • Her lips are lower down with age
Artificial changes:
  • The botox has frozen her forehead in the droopy eyebrows position, making it look worse.
  • She can't smile with her eyes any more, making the smile look sad and painful, and increasing the tired look.
  • The excessive lip filler is making her lips droop even lower, exposing her bottom teeth (like Blaire White).
  • The over-plump lips juxtaposed with the otherwise thin tissue in the surrounding area makes the natural ageing stand out more.
In short, she needs to stop the botox and filler. She could probably benefit from a fat transfer and surgical browlift (since ageing is not permitted in her job).

As a woman who knows absolutely nothing about makeup, even I get fooled by "natural" makeup. It's easy to underestimate just how much makeup can do when used by a practiced hand.

If I get fooled, makeup is done correctly IMO. I am pretty perceptive so sometimes I still notice, but I can still appreciate it. And even if a women does not wear makeup I don't mind it. Everything is better then being caked in it.
The only time I'd remark about a woman not wearing makeup / looking different is if they usually wear lots of it and it dramatically changes their appearance.

From actual 10/10 to microcephaly. Why are Koreans like this?

Korean beauty standards are the worst. They seem to have a hatred for strong jawlines, even in men.

The worst part of shaving down the jaw or any other part of the skull is that there's no such thing as "extra bone". Bone isn't one solid piece. It's porous. You can't cut part of it off without compromising the structural integrity of the bone. Doctors can patch it up with some filler material, but your body can reject it like any other implant or foreign object.

Male skull post-ffs.

Do you think it's going to create a warped vision of what aging actually is and what old people are 'meant' to look like. It certainly seems like it's going that way.

Meanwhile old men will just go out like this and see nothing wrong with it

I'm also a woman who knows nothing about makeup too and you're right about that my bad. My personal opinion on natural makeup from having a short natural makeup phase in high school is that for most natural makeup looks step 1 is to already be attractive. If someone is really good at makeup they could completely transform their face regardless of whether they're attractive or not though.

Has anyone mentioned the downright Islamic practice of calf muscle blocking/ "chopstick leg" surgery?
Removing nerves to stop calf muscle growth:
Beauty seekers who aspire for a pair of “manga legs” or “chopstick legs”—thin, long, and white gams as straight as chopsticks, like a manga character—“calf-muscle blocking surgery” has become trendy. The procedure removes some nerves on gastrocnemius muscle in order to slow its growth, leading to slimmer calves.

Compared with procedures like Botox, which require regular shots, calf surgery is lauded by online influencers as a "simple" one-time process to get rid of several “unimportant” and “rarely used” nerves with lasting effect, and allegedly no side effects. A hashtag related to the procedure attracted over 260 million views and 24,000 comments on Weibo in a couple of days in late May.

However, health experts pointed out that after these nerves are removed, people cannot walk as fast, or run or do other active sports that requires the use of calf muscles, without falling; moreover, their lower legs will probably recover to original size or even become deformed because of compensatory growth in other parts of the calf.

The procedure originated in France in 1985 as a way to treat club foot caused by spinal cord or cerebral injury. It was first performed as a cosmetic procedure in China around 2005, but is no longer offered at legitimate plastic surgery hospitals because the removed nerves cannot be recovered and the impact is irreversible, according to the Beijing News. Despite those warnings, two Beijing hospitals that the newspaper visited had received a flood of reservations for this service during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 12 to 14.

First there was foot binding, now this. The Chinese really don't like the idea of women being able to walk properly, do they?

Them doing weird shit to their own bones, nerves and muscles for vanity reasons doesn't surprise me one bit. Koreans get botox injected in their traps to kill the muscles and get this angular "90 degree" neckline. Funny how up until the 20th century a sloped neckline was considered feminine and desirable.

Plastic surgery in general. Blepharoplasty, skin tag removal, mommy tucks, breast reduction. For example lots of people with hooded eyelids have them get droopier with age until they actually start to affect their eyesight. They get blepharoplasty and the end result often still leaves them with hooded eyelids, just ones that don't actively cripple them. Plastic surgery isn't always comic villain facelifts and arab nose jobs.
Like you said, good plastic surgery will not be noticed by the average person. But nowadays having obvious work done is a status signifier among new moneys and people who want to be like them. People with bad taste basically. The high class types of course all get surgery too but they don't aim to transform themselves into racially ambiguous instagram mutts.
One my relative had this eyelid surgery and I can confirm it doesn't look uncanny if done correctly. I thought one gets at least the twilight sedation for that, but no, they just inject the area around with local anaesthetics, like those at a dentist. As is obvious, one can't look away while it's done, you just gotta sit through all of it being fully aware. I'm likely to have this problem too in the future, guess I just gonna deal with not seeing shit. As says Björk in Dancer in the dark, when she throws her glasses from the bridge, ''I've seen it all.''
