Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

MW2019 was my favorite COD until the bullshit cosmetics showed up.
Don't forget about Warzone. The game had such a bright future ahead of it, but then they drop the ball with the 35$ microtransactions that completely ruin the aesthetics of the game, and focus all their future content updates for a shitty BR mode nobody wanted. Even earlier than that, they actually removed 2/6 announcers for absolutely no reason, because apparently they swore too much(Griggs and the Warcom announcer). It was the taste of things to come.
I haven't even kept up with any potential BO6 news, that's just how checked out I am. I'm more interested in XDefiant, and seeing how Ubisoft will fuck their golden goose before it even lays another egg.

I'm so sick of wokescold nannies ruining everything.

I hate how the MW2 opening cinematic credits is unskippable.

That said, MW2's menu, tutorial level and credits has more personality than all of MWII/MWIII combined. At the time, MW2 was considered to be a Michael Bay video game. Even so, it knew the importance of show, not tell with its level design and gameplay loop.

I still play DMZ and Bootcamp.

I cannot stand regular WZ MP because it's all sweaty kids and bullshit constantly.
I cannot understand for the life of me why anyone would like WZ, Multiplayer and Zombies are fun but Warzone is just land and die to some third-worlder most of the time, its dogshit, guess im a bit biased in that regard since im not really a fan of Battle Royale games,

Is DMZ remotely playable if you're solo? I remember it being completely full of premade 3-man/6-man squads.

I don't get why anyone likes battle royale shooters in the first place, but that might just be perspective from a solo point, I guess. You run around an empty map picking shit up for 15 minutes, then get instantly killed by someone sniping a kilometer away from you.

Combat is high stakes, so it's a lot more of an adrenaline rush. I didn't play it a whole lot, but I remember fights I had to this day, like the time I laid down some C4 and then baited a truck to try and run me over. I don't really remember any particular Domination or TDM matches.

Not even that, you can pick up weapon caches to obtain pre-loaded weapons you created from Create-A-Class. Doesn't that invalidate the point of "battle royale" to scavenge for supplies to survive?

They tried fixing a lot of issues that came up in warzone 1s life with 2.0

Loadouts didn’t drop for free, to buy a loadout took $20k when 2.0 launched. This made people go ballistic they couldn’t get meta guns in 5 minutes. Current warzone is back to cancer of 1s end of life.

CoD YouTuber Ghosts619 returns from a hiatus with a long description about Jesus Christ. How out of left field.

Pretty much the main reason why I've never really tried Warzone in MWIII; I played a few matches to try and complete some challenges, and I got destroyed by sweats pretty quickly.

It's a shame, really; the Multiplayer of these games used to be fun, but the devs keep shoving everything into Warzone while letting the rest of the game rot. Campaing is nothing but lazy shit taken from Warzone, Zombies is just a reskinned Warzone/DMZ thing, and Multiplayer... would be fun, if we could get a decent connection. Oh, and not have to deal with the broken-as-shit SBMM.

Did it ever get confirmed that the SBMM affected your damage, by the way? Because I don't know if it was just me, but I often felt like I'd do more damage and take less at seemingly random times; it's bizarre.

Also, I do apologize that this is a bit late/if this has already been posted by someone else, but I found this video for MWIII upcoming Season 5:

What do you guys think? I admit, some of the guns and such do look a tad interesting, but after the tranny pride bullets fiasco, I'm keeping away.

Looks like some WaW cut content has been restored
You were supposed to shoot Chernov to put him out of his misery during his death scene, or stand by idly and let Reznov finish him off. Not sure why it was cut, but I guess they wanted to make his death scene more emotional. This original vision would have been rather ironic, as you first see Chernov refusing to execute dying Germans.

Check out the comment section, it's full of pussies crying that this would have been "too much". Boy, I sure hate being uncomfortable in my gory WW2 game where I can burn a jap to a crisp or reduce a nazi zombie into a legless moaning little stump crawling around! I'm wondering if these are zoomers or trannies, I have never heard anyone complain about the violence in the game back in the day, it was just assumed that you had to deal with it because it was going to be there(WaW was also one of the gorier titles as well)

Anyways, here is some more cut content that this guy restored:
Ultranationalists executing Loyalists during "Safehouse" intro

Original training mission in COD4, which would have taken place for a cut Private Carver in the Middle East(fun fact, this is actually playable in the DS version of the game, which is apparently based on the earlier draft of the story. It's a goldmine for other early cut content, and should give you a good idea what the game originally was going to look like)

You were originally going to go inside the submarine at the end of "Contingency" and fire off the nukes yourself in MW2. This entire sub area was recycled for MW3, and likely what inspired that mission in the first place.

Don't you know? Killing your allies regardless of situation - especially if they're communists or communist allies - is bad, but killing Nazis is A-OK. It's how weak-minded these fucks are these days; shit like CoD: Vanguard is how they view WW2, these days.
