You don’t hate the dodgers enough. You think you do but you don’t.

Edit: I just remembered I heard about this from the MATI cast and you’ve probably all already seen it.
The worst part about this promotion? You weren't there to flip merch and the giveaway cards.

Usually bad sportscasting is just bad but they were something special, so bad it was funny.

Lol.

"But why are they all just standing there?"
"Because Stanton caught the ball."

Nostalgic for clips showing the SkyDome in the old padded blue.

The new renos are hideous and they swapped out the 90s electric blue color palette for more of a Yankees navy.

Also Matt Chapman was in the clip. Glad the Jays didn't overpay him to stick around. Chapman actually played against the Jays in SF last night.

Despite 3B being a complete shitshow between Cavan Biggio (now a Dodger), IKF (career year but is now out for two months injuring his knee during stretching warmups), rookie Addison Barger (went 0-for-a million twice, now in AAA), Ernie Clement (swings at everything, gets Chuck Knoblauch disease, good contact hitter but coaches don't trust him), I'm glad he isn't another aging vet signed to a millstone of a deal.

i'm a little surprised they haven't reached out to someone like longoria for a cheep 1 year deal. i know he's not what he once was but he wasn't awful awful when he was healthy last year. (then again i might just be biased since he was my favorite player growing up)

IKF was mostly holding down the job with a career year offensively and defensively until he had a mysterious Maicer Izturis-type "I hurt my knee on the dugout steps" type injury a few weeks ago and is apparently gone until well into August.

Ernie Clement, an A's/Indians castoff, is actually one of the best contact hitters in the league. He doesn't walk but doesn't strike out.

The problem is that he's a 28 y/o minor leaguer who doesn't fit into the upcoming rebuild. He'll start against a LHP and get two hits, then immediately get benched against a righty the next night. The coaches and the analytics guys seem to hate him.

He'll also make some great plays at 3B, then completely airmail Vlad at first way too frequently.

The only reason he's playing now is because the other 3 guys ahead of him on the depth chart are no longer on the roster.

With Paul Skenes being announced as the NL starter for the ASG in his rookie year, I’d like to ask anyone who crusaded against Elly De La Cruz being in the ASG last year where they’re at on this.

What makes Skenes more special than Cruz? Can’t be the team he’s on, because both players are in middling franchises. Is it position? One can make an argument about positional importance, but this is a team sport.

Maybe it could be statistics? At the break last year, Cruz was hitting 325, on base 363, slugging 524. Combined 887 OPS with 41 hits, 4 HRs, and had hit for the cycle in his 15th career game. Yet he didn’t get into the ASG. He was setting Cincinnati on fire as well as the league, but Orlando Arcia and Dansby fucking Swanson got the vote. And people defended that! But no one is questioning Skenes.

Make it make sense.

Obviously it's because Skenes is white and Cruz is black.

Skenes currently has the look of a guy who could pitch a no-hitter at any time, and would if they let him finish a game.

Also, hot girlfriend.
Dude is a monster and I love watching him throw.

I'm a sucker for the ASG as is I like the friendly fun pro level stuff (once a year) but definitely he earned his spot and I'm glad he got to start.

The draft is tonight. Cleveland took Australian infielder Travis Bazzana first overall out of Oregon State. He hit .407 with a .568 OBP and 28 homers this season in 60 games.

There were some straight up studs coming out of college this year. Charlie Condon (3rd to Colorado) from Georgia went .433/.556/1.009 with 37 HR in 304 PA.

We'll see how this translates to wood bats.

Did your team get a good draft pick, goyim?

This guy is a Jew and a Russian sleeper agent too.

Now get to work lazy baseball player bums. Who said you could have a break? How are we going to make money with none of the playing of the baseball? All star break, oi vey.
