Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

I just did the raids.
Story is cool. Mechs are neat. Fights are fun. Music is bussin'.

The horse bitch can fuck off and die though. Am I supposed to care for her because her soul is dying or something?
She tries to murder me, the person who killed her crazy king and the one responsible for putting the beast soul system in place to begin with to save her own hide from a situation she put herself in. She was unnecessarily rude and lashing out at her sister for pointing out the obvious "murdering people to save yourself is wrong", did nothing to alleviate her situation except sit in hiding the whole time for who knows how fucking long and thinks that she can step up to me?

Nah, fuck off. Just die. Your soul problem isn't my problem and should be no one else's except yours.
I thought it was funny that she thought she was even capable of taking our soul after we literally brought her whole interdimensional future kingdom to its knees almost single-handedly. Also the music in her raid was the worst of the 4 imo.

i forgot to fucking mention but does anyone else think the ending thematic is fucking ridiculous? the one that plays while we're building the train? i was physically cringing it was insane. it sounds like a song that would play in my little pony.
They did that like, 2 or 3 times if I recall; and it was so sudden and jarring each time I actually said aloud: "What the fuck is this? A Disney movie?"

Because I get what you're saying. It's out of nowhere, not warranted, not built up and was so sudden and incredibly cringe inducing.

WHM being billed as the newbie friendly healer is a cruel joke. I assume most players pick it up and go "wow healing is complete ass in this game" and never touch a healer again. You also do like no damage until you get Glare so soloing sucks.

If they moved Bene to 15 and Holy to 30 it'd be a lot better.
As others have said too, they need to get rid of fucking Freecure. The number of Whm I've seen casting Cure I long after they should have stopped is ridiculous. It would be nice if they made it into some sort of talent that encourages the use of Cure II.

Hell, I moved Cure 1 to some unknown corner of my Role Action hotbar right after I got Cure II. It's only around in case I get a low-level roulette. Even having Regen by Haukke Manor would work wonders for learning how to manage pulls. It's MENTAL how little agency you have as the one job designed to keep retards from licking floor polish

I'm either stupid or missed a plot detail, but have they really elaborated as to what constitutes a soul outside of it being aether?

This whole incurable disease shit seems like a retread of the shit that Nero went through in the CT series. Get him, Graha, and Y'Shtola in a room and this whole 'incurable disease' shit (which is delivered in such a hamfisted way I'm pretty sure a couple of Jews died upon receipt) would be resolved in like 3 seconds.

The aether that makes up a soul is distinct from corporeal aether because it's specific aether that comes from the lifestream. Memories also fall into this category. Because of that, souls are a more potent and unique form of aether. The theory is that if you mix together a decaying soul with a denser soul, it will replenish and probably even strengthen it. Think back on when we took Ardbert's soul. It was able to strengthen us enough to overcome the corruption of light aether that was turning us into a sin eater. As for why she needs a soul specifically, it's because like how the endless can only be sustained by souls, souls can only be mixed with other souls. You can't just pump it full of regular aether 'cause it won't work. Trying to mash another type of aether onto a soul would only corrupt the aether of the soul. That's how tempering works.

If only Sphere didn't spaz the fuck out whenever we tried to talk to her about another solution, we could have offered her to take the souls of all the furries, degenerates and retards and wuk lamat.

All she had to do is listen, a win-win scenario existed.

It's doubly bad because you run into MP issues spamming Cure II, so that makes new players think they need to fish for Freecure procs. The class just really teaches a lot of bad habits.

Remember to acquire the inevitable God complex that comes with the job. Life and death are in your hands. Also playing as a healer will highlight you how bad people play compared to other classes and youll get annoyed. Honestly as a heretic Astrologian, i can tell you that you will learn to hate others more while playing healer.

Can confirm, I'll play every healer at max level for faster queue times, and god the sheer paste eating retardation you see is insane. I honestly want to slap the living shit out of whoever decided to nerf the damage of the stack markers in Syrcus. The number of times I've seen max level players in normal raids stack the fucking markers and then wonder why I nope out and let them die is infuriating.

To add to that, if you as a healer try to explain or even give them pointers for their class(even at high level, yes people are still being retards that far up) sometimes they lashed out or they ignore you and keep doing the same shit.

Hell happened to me while playing as astro. I was being polite to a SAM player and telling him that he should use higanbana for consistent ticks of dmg and the person just lashed out to me saying its dumb cause it doesnt do any damage so the person didnt used it and i was dumb for even considering it(mind you SAM is my main dps class and although im not a pro, i do understand the kit of the class and how it works)

This happened months ago so if higanbana is useless now in DT then my bad.

It reminded me of when we took in all the light aspected aether on the First. Just this time it's lightning aspected aether.

Would have been an interesting "Oh, we go talk to these people. We alright did this once." Would still leave the conspiracy theory questline fully intact aswell.

Also I disagree on 4th track being the worst. 3rd trial music is easily the most boring. It suits the fight, its just boring with little energy in it.

Also, as someone who just recently started WHM as my first healer, keep those new healer tips coming!

A lot of healing in FFXIV is learning for yourself when to heal and when to let your tank sweat to squeeze in one more Glare/Holy. You'll probably greed a bit too much a couple of times but who cares, worst outcome is everyone takes the walk of shame and you learned something. Also, this sounds kind of like a duh, but, once you get Afflatus Misery, when you get your 3rd lily and you know you aren't going to need all 3 charges right away, spend a lily on Afflatus Rapture, the more blood lilies you get the faster everything dies. Whm really is considered the easiest because it's mana economy is very forgiving and you get a lot of instant cast direct heals that don't use MP.

Finally leveling a tank and good fucking God is Gunbreaker fun to play for me.

Also WHM is stupid easy to play. You barely even have to cast cure if you know what you're doing. Toss a regen and it'll do most of the work as long as your tank isn't retarded.

Edit: Of course the day I decide to level tank, it's all healers and dps in demand for roulettes.

WHM is a class that teaches you how to prioritize and how you should heal. I recommend changing the ui, especially how the party members are organized. I personally have:
>tanks
>healers
>dps

That way youll have clear info. Also i would suggest learning a little about how the tanks work, especially their invulnerability abilities, since trying to heal them while they are unkillable is a waste of heal. Also regen is your best friend or atleast it is to me. Do be aware and accept the sad fact that people are sometimes dumb and even if youre doing your job right, they go ahead and die cause they are dumb. Finally youre not expected to do big damage, but when youre not healing, youre damaging even if you do 10pts of damage. If you decide to.stay the course and walk the path of White, it will teach you valuable insights on the other class, how mechanics work and prioritization.

Speaking from personal retardation: For dungeons don't underestimate how good Holy is (the answer is very). I kinda ignored it early on, because it's unlocked around the time dungeon pulls start to hit hard and you'll think the tank won't survive without the constant heals if he pulls big, but Holy will usually effect mobs multiple times and it has a pretty good AOE and it's very cheap, so you can spam it from a relatively safe distance and not burn through your mana. You can basically turn off the whole pull for 5-6 seconds in total. If you want to be safe you can bounce between Holy and Cure2 on the tank, but just dumping a few Holies from the start then healing also works.

Toss a regen and it'll do most of the work.
I've gotten shit for keeping regen on 24/7 on the tank, because it's "a waste of a good glare cycle." I don't mind pulling my weight in DPS when I heal, but some people have weird priorities.

I've been Level Synched as a Sage. I now no longer believe there is a just and righteous god, just a crude abomination left behind to mock us and our efforts

Blood for the Blood God? Got it

Continuation is going to be a gateway drug

Perfect advice. Especially Living Dead, because it's special even among the invulns

Pray your roulettes don't land on Stone Vigil or earlier

Yeah, I just feel that the collective knowledge of the Scions, Nero, Cid, etc. should be more than enough to deal with this 'problem' because it's been really ill-defined.

So, we're comprised of aether, but we're made of Normal Aether and Special Aether. But Memories are different from both Special and Normal Aether because.... ??????????????

And let's not even go into the topic of dynamis (which seems to be entirely ignored and forgotten about and will probably be brought up as an asspull. You'd think that dynamis would factor in with a robotic 'emotionless' overlord and how people are based off of the HAPPIEST period of their life, but...well...)
