What Pat's doing here is stealing his ideas from a chapter in Freakonomics, where they postulate that the decline in crime starting in the early-mid 90s was a direct result of Roe v. Wade (this theory is based on one of the co-authors' earlier research papers which is also frequently cited by pro-abortion activists), the idea being that the drop in crime started about 1 generation after abortion was legalized, with the babies aborted in the 70s and 80s not being around to turn into disadvantaged youths of socioeconomic factors who commit crimes. I doubt Pat has actually read that book, because it's more about the effectiveness of devil's advocacy and how you can easily make strange connections between various things rather than actually proving any points, but that's a commonly-repeated argument from the book. Remember, no idea in Pat's head is ever original.Patrick has a theory about serial killers.
