This reminds me of Riot Games' old "anti-fun" balancing philosophy; it's just not fun if you get 1shotKO'd, or stunned, or ganked...

Which is sad cause a hero shooter with a customizable loadout was exactly what I was looking for...

As if Sony didn't have any more :lunacy: and :optimistic: about this game, they are also selling an $85 Concord "Limited Edition" DualSense controller:

This controller also doesn't have any special in-game bonuses for it, and looks tacky AF. At least the Forza Horizon 5 XBox controller, as tacky as it was, actually has rubber grips on the back for comfort, and also has some in-game bonuses for FH5.

They also said that Concord will not have a Battle Pass on launch, but since Tekken 8 snuck one in post-launch, and this game is going to be dead on arrival, expect them to do the same and sneak one in post-launch.

It's not just the white dude being number one, but the whole top 5 consisting of the characters who are the easiest on the eyes. I have to imagine that this was the primary consideration over gameplay style to players when not even the designated sniper penetrated the top 5.

Could also be that the sniper is just trash. IIRC someone said that the ttk is super high and the sniper isn't even a 1 tap to the head. I liked sniping in Destiny and there's no way in hell I'd touch a sniper in any game that can't kill with a headshot.

Could very well be the case. A lot of games make sniper classes shit on purpose now responding to complaints that in a lot of early/mid 2000s shooters that snipers were too OP which they kind of were in a lot of cases.

Yeah, Vale the sniper was asscheeks. I'm pretty sure most of the pronoun shit was performative. Outside of fat manlet Daw being maybe a pooner, the strongest characters were the most heteronormative ones...

The top five are the easiest gameplay wise too. Bunch of simple damage dealers. Teo seemed like a straight white male. Gameplay wise he played like a Halo guy. Haymar's a Destiny sorcerer. Huge burst but long reloads. Lennox is the best one of those. He had two guns and both could one clip kill. Basically McCree. Also had a self heal. Jabali's the odd man out because he fucking sucked. Basically Zenyatta with an LMG loaded with chewing gum, very little damage and a triple jump no one used.

Roka had a Jango Fett thing going on and rockets with a lock-on. She was one of three characters that were fun to play, and Moistcritikal used her a lot so she got popularity bumped. Also had a few poses going "look at my ass" and a lot of confidence. The only woman in the world that seems to like how wide her hips are.

In general what I wrote at first checks out. No one played tank or Healer, even with how busted Daw was. There's just very little variety and very little reaaon for people to venture outside dpsland. I played a bunch with the same people so the player pool was more of a player puddle anyway. Inb4 they try to claim a playerbase of "literal millions" on console.
