Comrade Bob isn't even hiding his authoritarianism anymore

Elites have material and situational advantages that often make them part of reform efforts, even when the commoner is the spear. It also gives them significant advantages in slowing reform efforts. The elite in the United States are why there is global warming skepticism, because they fund propaganda via think tanks and media outlets (both mainstream and alternative). The elite in the United States milked homophobia and every other harmful "culture war" position to maintain political influence over budgets and foreign affairs. Pick any long-term problem you see facing the United States, and there are elites actively arguing against doing anything about it, because it will cost them or someone higher up on the totem some of their power. Being privileged neither confers virtue nor vice in itself, but rather broadens one's horizons and amplifies one's influence.

I doubt Bob can make anything resembling a coherent framework from his positions. He fantasizes about trivializing the influence of whites in the Midwest, because he perceives them as racist and homophobic, but says absolutely nothing about the racism (and you don't have to limit yourself to the anti-white variety) and homophobia present among minority groups. He is skeptical of the plebs, but he doesn't oppose the civil rights activists that resisted oppression from the State. He romanticizes the elite, but despises the rich, educated Republicans that oppose his party.

I wonder what he thinks of Pinochet.

And this is the attitude I hate the most of losers. And rest assured, it's only losers who keep on being this spiteful. When the Republicans lose, they are not immune.

The last thing you want to do when losing an election is to start lashing out at people for daring to stick to their ideals and voting third party. What the fuck is the big deal? In Canada we have three major parties (We are not immune to this either. The Liberals have BAWWWW'd several times before about NDP stealing votes and letting Harper win.). If you failed to sway these people to your side, it's not their fault, you just failed to appeal to them.

Honestly, Bob is legitimately infuriating and I try not to take cows personally. He's the kind of person who talks about change but when it comes to changing his party's tactics, he demands the world change to them.

It makes zero sense in this case because about three quarters (over 3 million) of third party votes went to Gary Johnson, and Trump would be the second choice for the vast majority of people who voted for him i.e. third party voters hurt him far more than Hillary.

Trump probably would have won the popular vote if Johnson wasn't in the race.

Blaming Johnson supporters may be partially the result of the "All Trump supporters are racist, nobody would vote for Trump for reasons other than racism" line of thinking. Basically, admitting that Johnson voters would prefer Trump's policies to Clinton's would be an acknowledgement that somebody could have a reason to vote for Trump other than because they want to make America white again.
