Goddamn, I love this autist. If you know how to properly call someone a fucking leaf then you probably are a racist and know all the other dog whistles lmfao.

"The performative and hyperbolic hatred of Canadians online in this way masks the more serious racial bigotry in the mind of the person espousing nominally anti-Canadian platitudes."

I do not believe for a second that Null has never heard a parent express regret for having children, that's something he said without thinking to dunk on Ralph. It's an unfortunately all-too-common sentiment, and I find it's usually alcoholic parents who express this to their children because they're the perfect storm of prerequisites to say something that damaging to a child. A lot of alcoholics are bar-hoppers or party animals, and you simply cannot sustain that kind of lifestyle with a newborn. Even that's not generally enough for parents to express it, but with an alcoholic they are frequently in a state of lowered inhibition, so they have ample cause and opportunity to say some pretty heinous shit to their offspring as a way of venting or as some misguided confession.

Peter Dinklage got what he wanted the dwarfs are now badly cgi'd in the new movie. Actual dwarfs are stating that Dinklage purposely made it so dwarfs who wanted to work were unable to get jobs.

The new trailer released this morning:

This movie was always gonna suck, they cast a brown mutt woman as SnowWHITE and the evil queen who is supposed to be jealous of her beauty is a so much prettier than her. This destroys the entire premise. It's honestly gotta be ragebait at this point.

The Capitol police paid for an ad spot on twitter and now you get to enjoy the fact that they are going to be 30% women by 2030 which means politicians will be easy pickings after that.

This is a general suggestion: the MATI co-hosting experience.
In short: elevate the lolcow section of the podcast by taking on (one or two) co-hosts/guests who are forum users themselves who can add additional commentary or fill in knowledge gaps.

It would be silly to expect one to maintain the site and know all the lolcow lore by heart, so why not outsource offer a position as rotating co-host? It is no surprise that there are people on the forum who are very active or knowledgeable about a single thread who's insights could make for good entertainment for those who aren't in the know.

This idea has numerous challenges of course. Vetting of co-hosts and discussing topics beforehand takes extra prep time and last minute scheduling issues would be the major ones (I could think of while writing this post). And of course the co-host would need to be comfortable being 'voice-doxxed'. But nothing has ever been done without taking a risk.
As an incentive for the active forum user to take up this offer, a special "MATI guest" profile badge could be given as reward.

For some streams now there has been talk of 'taking the show more seriously' and I think this could be a unique direction which would make MATI even more distinct from other podcasts.

The difference - and I think this might be true of almost all parents - is saying “why did I ever have you” when in an argument or angry at them, and saying “never have kids” when quiet and alone and talking “heart to heart”. Words said in anger are often untrue; words said carefully and deliberately when sober and calm often are.

rekieta sounds EXACTLY like DSP, except a higher pitch, most likely because they're both going on long rants that can be summed up in a few words.

The people want a return of cooking with kay segments Jersh! The people demand it Nool!
josh said that she DCMA strikes anybody who goes over her stuff, so thats why he stopped that segment

Shit I’ll do it. My voice fluctuates through 20 different varieties depending on who I’m talking to so you’ll never be able to trace that shit back.

We can call it Donjulios shitshack experience where I talk about how to solve all your problems with tannerite gnomes and how to prepare your home against household pests that glow in the dark while using the carcasses to grow better corn.
