Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

But what would the Sino-American war be about?
China replacing the United States as the military and diplomatic center of East Asia and the Western Pacific
>day 900 of Operation Iraqi Freedom
>500,000 American soldiers are dead or crippled
>it has been years since the US air force was able to operate in Iraqi air space, the US has spent that time using long range cruise missiles to systematically destroy Iraqi hospitals and the power infrastructure, as they lack the ability to identify command posts, ammunition dumps, barracks, or even factories
>after losing a carrier strike group to Iraqi missiles and suicide drones, the US Navy was forced to abandon the Persian Gulf
>Turkish OSINT accounts examining satellite images found that half of the US strategic stockpile of military equipment is gone, and much of what is left are cannibalized or broken hulls
>CNN proudly shows transport ships being loaded with re-activated M48 Pattons, which have become one of the workhorses of the US army
>patriots triumphantly post videos of US Marines conducting trench assaults on motorbikes and electric scooters, as Bradleys are an endangered species and everything else are death traps in the frontline environment
>after the rout of the armored spearheads outside of Baghdad and Falluja two years ago, US troops have slowly started to creep beyond the Amara-Nasiriya line again
>suddenly Iraqis invade US occupied Kuwait, penetrating the thin screen of border guards and occupying the countryside
>the US army is caught completely by surprise
>US columns sent as reinforcements are ambushed and destroyed
>the US launches long range missiles at an Iraqi supermarket and post office in retribution
>it takes the US army 5 days to bring up troops to contest this incursion, now Kuwaiti villages are reduced to rubble by US air force bombing and artillery fire
>the US Foreign Ministry calls on the international community to condemn the heinous Iraqi war crime of attacking peaceful US soldiers
You forgot
>US lobs dozens of missiles and drones at Baghdad for the hundredth time, fails to hit anything of military worth again
>US neocons on Telegram STILL won't stop talking about whether Kurdistan, al-Muthanna governate, or al-Basra governate, will be the first "new" US state

Copelord is apparently hung like a parrot 🦜. He was goaded somehow by NAFO-ists into posting photographic proof so people could see he was not smol, but in fact he was.

While Russisn mil bloggers on Telegram (a few have perished in recent months) have some sense of realism, twice convicted pedo Ritter, McGregor, suspected rapist and failed cop and fugitive from justice Dougan (seems to loathe Ritter?) tend to be away with the fairies. They're coverage is schizo like the pajeets who tend to platform them. Incidentally pajeets seem to love both Israel and Russia (which is a bit of a contradiction given how Iran and Russia are butt buddies these days), a love which isn't reciprocated.

They are even invited to schools to talk to children.

Yes, those previously convicted of pedophilia too. Just imagine: a released pedo have a talk in a school in Flydefecatesburg.
One reason Scott Ritter loves Russia is unlike in the US 'twice convicted pedophile' does not make him a target for scorn or more kinetic contact, but instead he's respected. The Chechen authorities put on a notable reception for him. Ritter addressed thousands of Kadyrovites in broken Russian about his efforts to foster friendship between Russia and the US.

Vlad Vexler suggests that this thrust into Kursk is a consequence of the West not arming Ukraine to a sufficient degree, noting Anders Puck Nielsen's surmise that not arming Ukraine sufficiently will lead to escalation.

William Spaniel on Ukraine's thrust which has taken c. 625 sq km. (I note myself that when daily killings of civilians occur in Ukraine, the UN sleeps, only now when Ukraine are some distance from Kursk's nuclear power plant that isn't even a target do they pipe up, perhaps thinking a retarded trade for the Zaporizhzhia NPP is afoot. (The turd world DEI UN senior bureaucrats see Russia as key to their multipolar BRICS fantasy and UN Sec Gen Guterres is probably bouncing off the wall in rage) Perhaps there's an idea that Ukraine might trade its Kursk salient for Russia's push into Kharkiv Oblast and other northern ideas with the northern border to be removed as an area for military contention, but overall any trade for Zaporizhzhia would mean a small enclave of Ukrainian control completely dependent on Russian occupiers for the power it needs to maintain its cold shutdown status, 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Suggests that Putin will have to choose between peeling off from the mostly volunteer force in Ukraine or drawing on the annual intake of conscripts who only serve in Russian borders, but that volunteers as now are a far more efficient option as using conscripts will spread the strain of the war to a new group, but using the volunteers in Ukraine will likely terminate Russia's bloody summer offensive. Suggests also that Russia did not expect the US to be okay with this and left its borders fairly weak. Now that UA has broken the defensive lines in Kursk, UA can head in various directions as has happened with smaller salients. Russia will have gather more of its own forces than there are Ukrainians to erase this salient. Spaniel also notes that Gen Gerasimov ignored reports of a Ukrainian build-up. Overall suggests that the specific choice of Kursk is not important to Ukraine.

Putin instructed the head of the FSB, Bortnikov, instead of Gerasimov, to lead the operation against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. (https://static.moscowtimes.ru/image/article_960/ad/Security_Council_Meeting_2019-11-22_1-2.jpg)

Putin has appointed FSB head Alexander Bortnikov as commander of a "counter-terrorist operation" after the Ukrainian army's invasion of the Kursk region, according (https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-august-10-2024) to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

"Putin probably appointed Bortnikov as the head of the 'counter-terrorist operation' because Bortnikov had previously established himself as an effective manager during crises that threatened the internal stability of Russia and the Kremlin regime," the ISW summary says.

It notes that Bortnikov was engaged in negotiations and provided guarantees to the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, during the rebellion last summer.

Basically like the Belgorod thrust, it'll be treated as a counter-terrorism operation. There's to be no war declaration.

Sarcastoaurus notes that the forces sent to tackle the Ukrainian incursion are forces involved in Ukraine already, not green or fresh.

  • 2 VDV battalions (from strategic reserve)
  • 79th Motor-Rifle Regiment, 272nd Motor-Rifle Regiment, and the 138th Motor-Rifle Brigade (all from the northern Kharkiv sector)
  • 15th Motor-Rifle Brigade and 1 Motor-Rifle Regiment from the Belgorod Oblast (due to latest developments, the last might have to return to where it started from)
  • 810th Naval Infantry Brigade (from the Avdiivka-Pokrovsk sector)
  • 38th Motor-Rifle Brigade and 64th Motor-Rifle Brigade.
Also the Russians are blaming the British. While Uncle Sam has power, perfidious Albion has the evil cunning. It's cute that 19th paranoia still itches the Russian bear.

Everything is a Putin 4D chess move to these people

2022 withdrawal from Kiev attack was a brilliant plan by Vlad Daddy to achieve... something (nothing was achieved except that Ukraine's morale rose exponentially)
2022 AFU offensives that forced Russia to retreat over the Dnieper in Kherson oblast, and pushed Russia out of Kharkov oblast to the Svatove-Kreminna axis was a brilliant plan by Vlad Daddy to overextend and exhaust AFU so Russians could hit the flanks and put huge numbers of AFU troops in kettles (this never happened ofc)
2024 attack on Kharkov was a brilliant plan by Vlad Daddy that was busting through nonexistent hohol defense lines and was going to capture the city and win the war in days (this... didn't happen lmao)
2024 AFU invasion is a brilliant plan by Vlad Daddy to achieve... something (nothing has been achieved except Putin looking shellshocked on TV and Russia being embarrassed for the 5000th time in this war)

Fire at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant

Energodar We note from Nikopol that the Russian occupiers started a fire on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

Currently, the radiation indicators are normal. But as long as Russian terrorists retain control over the nuclear plant, the situation is not and cannot be normal. From the first day of the seizure of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, Russia has been using it purely for blackmailing both Ukraine and the whole of Europe and the world.

We are waiting for the reaction of the world, we are waiting for the reaction of the IAEA. Russia should be responsible for this. Only Ukrainian control over the Zaporozhye station can guarantee a return to normalcy and complete security.

Desperate Russian gambit or just coincidence?

So Russia set a big pile of tires on fire behind one of the ZPP cooling towers to make it look like shit was about to melt down (even though the reactors are all shut down) and then say hohols are causing a nuclear catastrophe like this basic bitch ploy was somehow gonna work lolololol

Zisters... not like this...

tfw you realize vatnigger thinks nuclear explosions look fundamentally different from non-nuclear explosions in all cases

(they don't, any explosion big enough can create a mushroom cloud shape, nukes just create much much much much much bigger ones)

They just keep moving goalposts and never own up to shit. Superior force btw.

Fire at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant

Desperate Russian gambit or just coincidence?
My guess would have been trying to figure out how to non-destructively shut down the reactor before doing it at Kursk, but looks like it complete Soviet false flag tire fire. lol.

Has any M1 Abrams even seen combat in Iraq? Despite Washington parading them around for years in the US and West Germany, all the videos from Iraq only seems to show M60 Pattons engaging in combat.
Yes. Google has plenty of results.
interesting you are asking dumb questions both here and in the Russian thread.

I think I was Poe's Law'ed

It certainly didn't help that eager Russian correspondents have been broadcasting these convoys' locations:
:story:
This is like something out of a comedy. "Here is where the convoy is in real-time with a clear and unmistakable landmark showing its exact location. Also here is a bonus shot zooming in on some of the things on the convoy for more information."
