Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

Well apparently someone leaked the vehicles from the dlc on 4chan.

Notice how the character model is never in frame, the vehicles are exclusively in first person, and you always go the same speed.

The vehicles are just helmets the camera is wearing.

Bethesderp needs a new engine so fucking badly.

People shit on CDPR but if you want to add a new car to Cyberpunk you can add a new car via REDkit, boot up the game, and it just fucking works. You can't even do basic shit in Starfield without some weird work around or hack.

I mean, we have already gotten official footage of the vehicles in 3rd person so it will be pretty bad if they remove it at release.

Anyways, apparently a modder has re-integrated the immersive elevators from Fallout 4.

Starlight Lounge
Two elevators outside Neon City
Two elevators at Star Key Station
New Home Tower Elevator
Rl039world (unknown location, untested)
Upper and Lower Elevators in the New Asia Business District
Jieneng Dai Group
Embassy of New Yawalu
UCVigilance
Main elevator of Earth colonization spacecraft
Earth Colony Spaceship Security Room Elevator
Earth Colony Spaceship Classroom - Cafeteria Elevator
DR011world (unknown location, untested)
RL036world (unknown location, untested)
RL010World (unknown location, untested)

They claim that it works for all elevators that are located in the same cell. So it won't work on the elevators that take you from the Neon Spacedock into the core.

It's so weird. The news reports in the base game make Trackers Alliance sound like a bunch of gung ho cowboys that don't give a fuck.

Then you get in there, and it's a fat fuck, some weird artistic european dude, two old assholes and a tranny who all cry about how one guy was "too brutal" at some point.

….. how the fuck is someone that stupid?
Radborn?! Who the fuck comes up with this shit?!
Oh wait until you hear what he had in mind for Salem and the "Radioactive magic being shot by radioactive wizards being hunted down by settler bigots in a modern day witchhunt" plotline, which was taken out at the last minute because some poor employee had to lie to him that the shitty engine couldn't handle radioactive magic(should have told him the engine couldn't handle the kid in the fridge either)

It takes special talent to make the vehicles somehow worse and jankier than the ones in Frontier
What are you even going to do with them? You have 10 minutes of procedurally created nothing reduced to 4 minutes of procedurally created nothing?
Let's see what they have in store for Shattered Space. At this point, it will either break or make this game permanently. Little bullshit DLC that doesn't fix the core issues is irrelevant.

I thought he said it was because they ended up removing the skyrim magic from the engine, which is what that quest was going to use. Maybe it couldn't handle radioactive magic to begin with, I don't know.

Maybe so, but I like my explanation better. I believe some limited magic is still in the game anyways, similarly to how Vertibirds are just reskinned Skyrim dragons. It definitely could be done if they felt like it, but I'm guessing there was a limit to how retarded some devs wanted the game to be.

Dunno if its worth having to play starfield in order to access that but surprisingly decent
Which Star Trek movie started off with Picard driving around in a dune buggy with Worf fighting off some guys Mad Max style?

Unless they let me do that with my buddy Sam Coe, no way Jose.

That was Star Trek Nemesis, the one with the young Picard clone, nigh-invulnerable evil ship of doom, a space battle where the ships "run out" of phasers, Data's death, and "B-4," a pre-Data Data android. God that was such a terrible fucking movie.

OOoh, right, no wonder I didn't recall anything that happened afterwards. Don't forget the bottomless pit on the Enterprise's lowest deck.

There's also no screen on the dashboard showing the map of the area.
Moving to another engine won't change their lack of vision.

I'd rather have the fade to black of Starfield than the risk of being in the infinite elevator from Fallout 4.

It's even worse than that, the rumor I heard is that the vehicles can only be built and used at settlements, so forget any ideas of loading up your lil dune buggy on your ship and taking it to new planets!

This would be absolute insanity for them to do. It would piss off the few fans they have left, and it's something that modders can probably "fix" with little effort immediately.

So that means it's definitely going to happen.
