This may have been asked before so forgive me, but is it possible that Nick's father is bullying Kayla into taking the fall in order to keep Nick out of jail?
If Nick goes to jail, Bob may have the power to withhold payments from the trust to Kayla and the children, leaving her destitute and alone. If she takes the fall, Nick keeps getting payments and promises to wait for her if she gets jail time (He won't, he would likely use his resources to divorce rape her.)

I have cursory looked over the court rules and there seems to be a Pretrial Release Initiative that mentions these "Interim Conditions" as pre-trial release conditions.

So what you are saying is that these conditions were changed/revoked during the bail hearing and that he was able to post bail without conditions? But he has court ordered drug testing, so there do seem to be conditions still.
