All I know is when the Reddit brain worms were making their way through my skull, I said to my mother that I never consented to life, and before I could finish that stupid fucking thought she gave me The Look. She didn't say anything, but I understood in a flash that it was incredibly stupid to be so dismissive of this incredible life she had given me, suffering and all. She had a tough upbringing and always felt I was the best thing that ever came out of her difficult life. How dare I say something so callous.
