"Media literacy" is a term used by leftists to describe the phenomenon of them reading too much into works of fiction. Like when they see a woman with short hair in a film, the "media literate" take is that she's "gay coded". It's literally them knowing how to "read" media.

It's their way to play both sides of the "death of the author" critique. The author is dead and any interpretation is valid, until you disagree with them then you lack media literacy.

As a long time viewer of his, even though I quit reading comics around Morrison's end of X-Men, it's just been weird seeing this as he was always something to listen to to stay in touch with this part of pop culture and what they're fucking up. Now in the past week or so Jon Del Arroz has become the "Ultimate Universe" version of Zack just doing simple comic talks.

I remember when Zack was able to get joint custody of Zackson, and would visit him in Austin. He would visit his daughter in New York every year and she seemed normal. It seemed like with Jawbreakers and Iron Sights those first years, basically up to Expendables, Zack had cleaned the slates financially and had some money put aside. He seems to still be living at his marine friend's house on the border despite wanting to move back to NYC, seems like Luna is gone or he's just moved to his own house in town.

It just comes across like everyone is pushed away now, he doesn't want to review comics and pushed them to community posts but his inability to actually get books out without the justifiable problems of Chyna Virus is making it seem like he's got a pill problem or something financially fucked him up in the background. Maybe he got some border hopper knocked up. When he's not railing against the other nerds he's picking the lowest hanging fruit in Tee Franklin as if to just say he's still "doing his job."

In many ways, Zack's starting to remind me of Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs fame, a conservative blog that became known for disproving the Dan Rather fake memo about George W Bush in the Texas Air National Guard, but as other conservative blogs started popping up into Obummer's years, he got jaded and nasty, and went completely lefty loony even before TDS happened.

Dixon and July are smarter than Zack. They are far more aware of the audience overlap than he is so they will not rock the boat in a way that hurts them. Same goes for the FNT crew and the Drinker. Eric July proved somewhat milkable but his thread is died and got locked. Liam is a certified lolcow in his own right but is only productive in bursts. His thread went 5 months without a post recently. As of right now, this is as close as we'll get to a thread for Ethan and Zack.

All that is to say that if anyone in the sektur has a mental breakdown or legal trouble or chimps during a stream or is identified in the background of a scummy porno movie, this is the place to talk about it.

Also potential increases due to the flim's budget. I pay around 30 dollars to see a movie nowadays. 15 for the ticket, 20 for popcorn & drink and that's for a small of both. Movies are now having budgets to 50 to 100mil. Zack is a retard if he doesn't think reshoots doesn't contribute to price increases.
