I can't get a proper read on Vivek. I liked him well enough during the debates, especially how well he handled MSM cucks trying to call him a conspiracy theorist over Jan 6.
He definitely did the right thing stepping down and endorsing Trump so he didn't piss him off (like DeSantis who has now likely been burned), and he's still out and about talking to people with different views, inviting protesters in to events and offering them a chance to speak, etc
But there's something about it that comes across very... businessman. Which isn't necessarily bad (Trump is a businessman at heart too) but it doesn't have quite the same genuine feeling to it like Trump and RFK Jr (who I disagree with on some issues for sure). I'm not sure how much this matters but for now I'm cautious but keeping a close eye on him.
He wears shoes too big for his tiny 'jeet feet.

Re LBJ: I do not know why LBJ is remembered so fondly now. But what made him effective as a POTUS were the three following things merged together, not that I'm saying I'm a fan of LBJ because I'm not:
  1. He had a good memory.
  2. He used tactics like intimidation and twisting people's arms.
  3. He had been in politics so long he had dirt on everybody.

Too bad the debate won't be a town hall. Seeing a wasted Harris answer questions from the audience, where most would likely be her supporters, would have been fun.
If Trump backs out, since he's turned the other Debates she's chickened out of into Town Halls, there will be IMMENSE pressure on her to turn the ABC one into a similar Town Hall.
I voted for trump twice, but damn this year I don't plan on voting at all.
The president of the united states is the press secretary for the Federal reserve.
"How do you do fellow conservatives? You know what would be really neat if I can't get you to try to blow up a federal building? Staying at home and letting the drunk globalist retard spouting communism win. That would sure stick it to the man1"

I don't think Trump will back out unless the debate is turned into Harris speaks and Trump gets tomatoes thrown at him.

Any chance to expose Harris to the public is win. The more she talks the faster her polls drop. The more the voters know the faster her polls drop. The more she goes hyena the faster her polls drop.

As long as Trump lets Harris ramble, bray, cackle and talk about her pinko agenda the better.

I don't know how old you are, but if voting changed anything it would be illegal
or they will rig it.

Ron Paul Libertarian to the bone here, Fuck Cuckservatives, and fuck you for linking me with any one who was handled into violence or legitimately uses violence for political means .....

The #1 thing he could do to damage her the most would be breaking the illusion. If she gives one of her vapid non-answers, all he has to do it get the idea that she didn't answer the question or spewed out word salad into the public's mind to end her. "I don't know what he said and I don't think he does either" destroyed not just Biden's career but his legacy.

"Oh is it my turn to speak? I was still waiting on her answering the question. Does she need more time to think of an answer?" Or something similar, just something to get it in the mind that "wait, she didn't actually answer the question / she spewed out pedantic bullshit" will cause a tailspin she can't recover from.

Is tax on "unrealized gains" a tax on potential profit?
This may have been answered in posts I scrolled past in order to catch up, but here is my understanding:

Unrealized gain would be the net difference if someone liquidated their entire portfolio on a particular date. With that in mind, I suspect the plan would be to have someplace on the tax return for people to report their portfolio value as of December 31, subtract the original purchase price (cost basis), and slap a tax on returns reporting a positive number during that calendar year.

I can't see this being very popular with anyone outside the "Tax the rich!" group because it taxes gains that exist only on paper and might never be realized in the future -- especially if any part of the portfolio is later sold at a loss in spite of showing gains in prior years. Further complicating matters is that tracking cost basis can be a pain for stocks held before the point when brokerages were required to report/maintain that information for clients.

There's an insurance code for every random thing you can imagine.
I used to do programming for healthcare-related IT and I can confirm this. When adding sample codes to a demo version of the company's software, I found a code for "Late effect of injury due to war" or something like that. I know the codes have changed since then, but there truly is a code for just about anything no matter how obscure.

I've been thinking about this the whole day and it's likely that the Democrats aren't expecting to win presidential elections but local elections.
Even if I'm not sure this is the case, I know Dems are using state ballot proposals on stuff such as marijuana legalization and abortion rights to motivate their voting bloc to come to the polls and vote even if they ultimately decide not to vote for Harris/Walz.

- RFK Jr really doesn't like that Kamala's getting away with no press pressure. His Uncle and father prided themselves on speaking for their policies. He was taught that of you can't defend a policy or idea it must not be a very good one.
I remember when people were respected for being able to defend and articulate their stances, even when one disagreed with those viewpoints. Sadly, this is now a vestige of the past in today's polarized "Feels over reals," mindset.

I'm glad to see him acknowledge this so frankly because it was definitely a very notable weakness last time. It wasn't terrible, but some really clear bad apples in the bunch.
For those who remember Mr. Trump during The Apprentice's run, he had a handful of people he called his "eyes and ears" -- people close to him whose opinions and observations he could trust implicitly -- give him feedback each episode.

I think he lacked this kind of close-knit group of people in his first term. though not from lack of trying. It didn't help that some of those he appointed/trusted during his first term ultimately proved to be untrustworthy. For him to admit that this was a shortcoming he wants to address should be re-elected shows he is at least capable of identifying shortcomings he wants to address and improve in a second term.

I have to stop you right there because everyone seems to have forgotten that lifelong germaphobe Donald Trump was all for expanding absentee voting and mail-in ballots at the height of the pandemic right before 2020's primary season (March/April 2019). Hell he bragged about it briefly, against all of his advisors who were screaming that he wouldn't be able to undo it for the general and it would be used to screw him. I know because I was involved with the screaming at the time and he was hearing none of it. Fast forward six months and there's a clown-car of lawyers like Rudy Guiliani and Sidney Powell telling you bald-faced lies about krakens and hacked voting machines in a pathetically vain attempt to undo that fuckup. There was even a shootout between the CIA and Delta Force over a secret server in Germany or Italy or wherever. All because Trump couldn't see how stacks of anonymous ballots left on a street corner in the ghetto would be used to screw him.
The CIA was actually purposefully feeding her false stories to discredit her.

The best JFK theory I ever heard was that it was Lyndon Johnson who ordered the hit because his history of shady shit was about to go public, and by becoming president he could delay and bury the story.

People really underestimate how bad of a president LBJ was. He destroyed black families, ensuring niggerdom would be a institution. He helped pass both the Hart-Celler immigration act which opened the floodgates for immigrants which would never integrate and the Higher Education Act which started the ball rolling on the government paying for college loans which led to the meme of US Universities today. He pushed the 1968 gun control act which was the second worst gun grab in the USA history. He escalated Vietnam. He literally worked with Israel to false flag the USS Liberty because he wanted to deal with Nasser's Egypt.

Fuck LBJ. What is it about Democrat presidents with acronyms being absolute cunts?

Tucker and RFK Jr discussed that too today:

- RFK discussed pretty in depth how he got in touch with Trump and claimed besides what he's already discussed - one of the things that surprised him was that Trump was very open about being fed up with the Neo-cons he dealt with last time.
- Tucker and RFK discuss his uncle's assassination - they compare notes - Trump backed out on releasing the Kennedy assassination info last time and Mike Pompeo was the one who advised Trump not to do it - saying it will be a "disaster for America" - Tuckers pretty on board team "It was the CIA" but Kennedy says he just wants to know what really happened.

IIRC, most of the mst3k crew is like that. I know Mike isn't. Maybe Joel too. But seeing who Joel surrounded himself with for the revival of mst3k, he's probably like them.

Unless they say otherwise, I assume everyone in the entertainment fields (books, movies, music, video games, youtube, tv) is a hard core leftist.
I've always thought Mike Nelson was our funniest American so when I found out he's not just Conservative but also a big time Christian, that surprised me. He had a podcast called Radio Mullet where he talked a little freely about his morality and another one with his pastor, it's all very positive stuff. He says that being Christian when you're in Hollywood is practicing the humility of sitting in a room with people openly mocking who you are and what's in your heart (bad paraphrase). Bill Corbett's podcast was really vicious smug lefty guy and friends, and Frank was cohost on some political show on Sirius, forget the guy's name, another smug lefty.

it really makes me wonder if trump losing in 2020 was the right decision overall, those 4 years of biden meant all the fags like romney and co got voted out or retired letting the new class come to power. like Vance and Rufo were still anti-trump in 2021 and him being re-elected probably would have meant neither getting redpilled. in general it took biden to get trump for many people, musk and zuckerberg being two great examples.
There is a major aspect of trumps 2020 victory everyone's overlooking. He's only allowed to serve 2 terms as president sure but there is still a major sleeper advantage of winning that third one.

fraud vitiates all

Trump has an addtional angle to overturn ALL of Bidens administration and can use that as a cudgel to force congress to strip the parts he doesn't like instead.

This means Trump gets 2 terms and he gets to subtract one term from the democrats.

The economy is fucked beyond repair. It's basically overloaded with money and inflation. You'd need a massive hammer to bring down the high cost of living.

Low interest rate and net negative government spending.

You'd need to reset the currency to get out of the pit, and they'd be able to play kingmaker with who starts in the new system a noble elite and who will be a serf for the next 10 generations.

This was intentional. Currency 2.0 will also allow them to turn off your ability to spend / receive money at will. Picture Mastercard's ability to say "no, I don't think you should be doing business online" but it's everywhere.

The idea that Kamala will do so bad at a debate is odd. We have seen how she does with a friendly (but not as friendly as abc will be) moderator with Pence.

Will she amaze anyone? No. But she will give her practiced answer to a question she will be told ahead of time and stick to her canned answer and do "a woman is speaking" and "thats what a felon would say" canned responses to Trumps jabs.

Just watch how she reacted when Pence tried to get her off track. She stuck to the scripted responses like a robot. She will do the same again and the moderater will join and chastise Trump for his "lies".

You are NOT getting another Biden moment here.

This year, I hope he encourages voters to vote however they need to -- early, in-person, absentee, etc. -- to vote for him. It will make it that much harder for the usual shenanigans to work against him.
this year alone, mail in ballots for various primaries and state/local elections are being delivered late past the deadlines. usps says its because theyre updating their mail system but no ones know for sure why. in some cities ballots arent being counted despite having a valid post date because its coming weeks after the deadline.

good thing the courts are upholding the laws accepting mail in ballots days or weeks after election day.
