I do think Harris will flunk on a debate. She's got a lot of weird habits and her laugh is really off-putting. Plus her plans are actually bat shit insane. So the more she talks the worse she looks. Even if she gets her "notes" and earpiece chances are she will not perform well.

Trump is experienced and hopefully not as aggressive as he was in 2016, he showed great restraint with Biden, and his plans make sense. All the topics they want to discuss are in Trumps favour. The economy? Trump is favoured, no one wants quotas and price controls. Immigration? Trump wins hands down, most voters want better immigration controls and Trump will drag Harris if she brings it up with her history as "border Czar". Jobs? Trump. Foreign policy? Trump.

All policies are firmly in Trump's favour and the drones at the Harris HQ know this.

Which is why the Harris campaign is suddenly asking for new rules and a different set up. They need to hit Trump with the slander and dirt slinging as they can't bring up policy. They need to talk about his court cases, his lawsuits, his bankruptcy. Everything and anything to distract and paint a picture of Trump as a big loser who will drag America down. Pretty much the same old same old from 2020 backed up with biased questions and hostile moderators.

I'm gonna guess that the Harris campaign will figure out some way to avoid the debate and use the MSM to run cover for them yet again.

One thing I don't blame RFK for but it just shows how much latent power Trump has, RFK seems much happier now, as though he couldn't handle the pressure of the campaign. It just puts Trump's constant willingness to do anything into better context that he is built for this.

@Sweeter and Savoury - I was watching clips of 2016 - while I know people didn't really like the soundbites, Hillary wasn't exactly sobbing in the corner, she was more than willing to go toe to toe with him. I think it's a little unfortunate for the dems that she was the best they have for going toe to toe with Trump


With Kamala - one thing she was able to work on so far is surpressing the cackle panic response and bringing her level of word salad down a bit. But that was with a teleprompter speech in a room of true believers. I don't think this will hold when you suddenly have a debate to deal with or a discussion that requires going off the script for a hot minute and an opponment keen on that debate.

While not all will watch - I think this practice of doing open interviews with youtubers and Elon helps give Trump something, even if people just dismiss his debate performance.


My personal thought is Trump should do the one debate, even if Kamala gets all the handicaps. In all honesty the Dems going for her are going to vote for her anyway. Hit her with asking why *he* was willing to open dialogue with independents that would have had a much easier time in her camp, Why didn't they support the Gold Star Families of the Afganistan pull out or go to Arlington to pay respects to the 13 dead?
