Plus, the BEST part is that AR lower can host dozens of uppers 😀

I'd get the type 97 if i were you. Uses AR mags, is chinky, will make (certain) Americans jealous that they can't have one. Also you have to have a long barrel on your semi auto rifles. So a bullpup will still be relatively compact even with the longer barrel. Get the type 97 that has the 1913 rail on top, not the carry handle.

Type 97 has a vibe to it but the gun alone costs more than an SKS and a crate of cheap ammo. Would make a good 2nd or 3rd gun though. And the usual concerns are parts availability and reliability. I hear it's picky with mags.

I do like the lumpy vibe. Keep in mind though we have a gay 5 round magazine limit. Im actually not certain how that works with AR mags, do they pin them or something?

From what I was told you can use 10 round AR mags as long as they're labeled "pistol" mags. Canadian gun laws make very little sense, bros.

Man that is so fucked because they banned another magazine with the rationale that it could be put into a pistol, I think the 30 round for the ruger 10-22, because it could fit in some prohibited pistol almost nobody owns. I hope they don't throw a pop quiz at me a couple years from now because I can't remember all this bullshit.

.50 Beowulf was practically made to give Canadians "5 round magazines" but I think the mounties got wise to it since then.
Not like Alexander Arms put much more work than that into it.

You can get 10 rounders for for AR type mags. With the SKS you're limited to 5 rounds. And its not even a removable mag.

That is very true. It doesn't have to stay a A2/A3 it's entire life if I don't want it to. The AR-15 is like a PC in a way, highly customizable. You can take a store bought rifle and mod it to hell and back. I can turn that A3 clone into a quad rail space clone with a 11.5 inch barrel if I really, really want to. Here's the PSA rifle btw (gun on top)
