The game is fine if you have something like a stream or series to binge while grinding, but the grind for a few characters and weapons was pretty terrible. I got the worst stuff done at launch and since then they've made it about 3-4x easier to get, so if you're really in the mood for something very similar to warframe, I guess it's worth a try.

Do keep in mind the horrible anti-cheat systems, though.
 
Wanted to go so sleep but played for almost 2.5 hours. Never liked Destiny and Warframe was a convoluted mess, but this was fun so far. No idea how bad the grind gets and how much content the game will get, but I probably will keep playing for a bit.
 
How worth it is the game? I'm honestly kind of shocked to see Nexon devs actually apply player feedback. I wouldn't even be against throwing some money at the game if I like it enough, support what you wanna see and shit. Still, I've been hearing some horror stories about how the current endgame amounts to "stand there and tank unavoidable damage from aimbot-tier gunfire".

Yeah, that's gonna be a thing. You can not dodge anything that's hitscan. Ever. And some factions really love their hitscan units.

They've been good at listening to their community, but they also keep making dumb decisions that shouldn't even have been made in the first place. I guess if you have the patience for developers that keep tumbling down the stairs while apologizing for every step they break their face on, it could be fun? The latest content release was especially dumb, but I'm too sleep deprived to go into details other than that the seasonal content is as of right now SOLO only in a co-op shooter.

I might consider it. To give them some credit, Warframe endgame is basically just taking bullets to the face too, just with either a tank frame like Revenant, or with shieldgating.
 
Sitting at 6 hours. Having fun. But I already can see the grind that awaits people who want to unlock different characters. But I put over 500 hours into LoL so whatever.
 
Honestly all the devs have to do is say you can transfer all the cata/enhancers from the regular version of a Descendant to its Ultimate version without any lost and thr grind would be instanlty worry free. Would remove my issue about upgrading a character and feel like it's wasted if/when I get the ultimate version.

I just didnt care and Upgraded the regular Bunny.
Unless the Ultimate Version has Extra Polarities(I didnt check that actually) the only thing different are better Base Stats for Ultimate Units.

Got a few days in, and admittedly I'm not really sure if I'm gonna heavily get into it. Bunny already reminds me of why I got tired of Warframe -- you have to play solo just to get to play the game, otherwise you'll just be trailing behind metaslave #5293 nuking the entire map with 3x your movement speed. You then get to see their intelligence when not a single public lobby understands Hanged Man mechanics, or even bothers to read the chat when you explain it. Hailey seems to be just about the same thing, but for bosses instead.

I've never understood the design philosophy of "grind so the whole game turns into pressing a win button", and I'm the kind of autist who likes playing Disgaea. Maybe a new difficulty tier will fix some of this, but I don't really think I like what direction the game's going in at the moment.

This is exactly why I've put the game down for now. Bunny is a cancer on the game and she invalidates every character except a few specific builds used for nuking colossii. You should see the retarded cope from Bunny mains on sites like reddit.

"she's only good at killing mobs" (literally 99% of the game)
"she's a glass cannon" (only if you're a fucking retard who can't put a single HP mod on)

I picked this game up because warframe was getting stale with all the insta-nuking characters, but a day or two after release people already started spamming bunny everywhere. Bunny is worse than anything I've seen in warframe since I started that last summer.

I'm not against characters that are better than others in specific tasks like farming, but this shouldn't require invalidating the majority of characters in a game primarily about collecting characters. Enzo and Sharen improve farming by expanding on existing mechanics, like having the invisibility to hack panels for bonus drops instead of having to destroy them; that didn't require the second coming of Wukong.

Why not play a game that's actually good if you're going to play anything at all? I don't see the point of playing a game only to grind, especially some always online skinnerbox. Even mindless "podcast games" must have better candidates than this, the only thing of value the generic anime waifu game with guns #61997 brought to the table was that Fleek review.

Because the game WAS fun before the stale meta. There aren't exactly many warframe-like games out on the market. If you care so much what games people play, maybe suggest something "better".

I would play anything that engages me enough that I don't need to play streams or podcasts in the background as I slave away to unlock some dumb skin for a shitty anime waifu skinnerbox, but that's just me. If you want anime tits and flashy outfits, Stellar Blade has you covered and every single cosmetic is unlockable much quicker.

I have 3 monitors. I watched the x-files while playing the game. I had a decent time doing it. Why are you even here if you haven't played the game?
 
I like the game, but ran into the same issue that made me quit warframe (well besides that warfarme is fucking pozzed) - people rush through everything and kill mobs/bosses before I even know what's happening. It's not fun or challenging.
