Patrick Sean Tomlinson / @stealthygeek / "Torque Wheeler" / @RealAutomanic / Kempesh / Padawan v2.5 - "Conservative" sci-fi author with TDS, armed "drunk with anger management issues" and terminated parental rights, actual tough guy, obese, paid Quasi, paid thousands to be repeatedly unbanned from Twitter

Jennifer continues to deny that which is increasingly obvious

Defamation requires malice in Patrick's case, I didn't see any malice in that newsletter plus Brian provided receipts.
Pretty bad that he was only offered 20 copies. That's 20 copies they have to put down as "sold". This means that his deal wasn't a six figure deal like he claims it was and that they didn't do a large print run. The person below getting only 3 means an even smaller print run.
Those copies aren't also "free" publishers expect the author to shill his books, something Patrick rarely does because he knows no one buys them. You can't even sell used copies unless it's a gag gift or given them away for a food donation.

My guess is it's a typical low five digit deal as he was already getting some small checks for royalties.

If that's how it actually is, that's embarrassingly bad all around. Even Amazon self-publishing lets you buy infinite copies at manufacturing cost, which is actually the cheapest way to get printed bound books I've found.

Amazon is good for paperback, but the quality isn't there for hardcover for my needs nor do they offer everything I need for my CoC game so sadly wont be going for them. They do offer a decent amount of royalties for ebooks though. I heard it's around 25% instead of the usual 10-15% you get with legacy publishing companies. I also don't like the way Drive Thru RPG does things because for maps and stuff you have to resize them to fit in your book so you can print them inside there which means defeating the purpose of having hand outs.

Manufacturing costs is nice too because usually it's at 50% the cost. Large print runs that can be dirt cheap.

Wow he's extra verbose today! It's like he got a really detailed and fact-based reply about a thing he's doing!

you know he's fucking losing it when his template replies aren't template anymore :lit: the brian keene newsletter and the state's rebuttal must have been a wombo combo to his ego.

Every second hand store, every thrift store, every used book store I look for copies. I can’t bring myself to buy them new, but the “used” sections online keep calling to me like wolves baying at air raid sirens ….
Just buy one from Abebooks. A friend sent me a copy of one months ago and I use it as a flyswatter.

Oh good lord this is going to be the focus of his oinking tonight

Also pig man would you kindly do the sneedful and explain why you think the cops would do a better job than you in defending your life and property when you are actively fucking suing them for their perceived threat to your life and property?
